This small local gem is serving up a small but very good menu of HK cafe food. We tried the baked tomato sauce pork chop spaghetti and the pork chop and egg with scallion sauce rice. The marinade on the pork chop is very good--tender and flavourful, and pan fried evenly. The tomato sauce is one of the top ones with a balanced tomato sauce that isn't too sweet or bland. The ginger scallion sauce was also tasty, and came with a homemade sweet soy sauce. The milk tea was average. The space is small and no-frills, and they serve food in take out containers, even if you're dining it. Not a big deal if you temper your expectations about the aesthetics. The parking lot is quite small and tight too. The price is very fair for the quality and portion size. Service is quick and efficient.

Tried them for the first time today as they recently just open. They have a variety of different Chinese cafe dishes. My favorite dish was the pineapple bun with butter. It was warm, soft, buttery but the top was crunchy. Their milk tea was also good! However, I found that their satay beef and bolognese was average. I wish their satay beef had more of a satay flavor. I wish their bolognese had cheese on top and I don't know, I think needed a bit more flavor.I personally feel that there are other places in the area that have better dishes for around the similar prices. The service was good, it was like cafeteria style where you go up and order them they bring the food to you. But the staff was still very kind and friendly. The restaurant is a bit small with only around 8 two seater tables, you can put them together to make a bigger table but the space is a bit tight. The parking lot is also very limiting with only maybe around 10 spots? So they might be better for take out.

Trio Fast Food is at their soft opening stage. You order at the front, pay and they will call your number out. I ordered the spiced pork cubes and egg with the vermicelli. The pork cubes were a good size. We also order the crispy chicken leg with fries. Nice and big and juicy. The lemon tea, they use red tea base which I love. Nice and simple fast food. Great for lunch or afternoon tea. They close at 5:00pm. Just for today Sept 27th, they close early at 4:00pm.

As soon as I was ready to order, I was pleasantly greeted by Mohammed who showed a high degree of professionalism & was so well spoken. I ordered the 4 piece chicken dinner which comes with one side & a biscuit. I asked him on a side recommendation & he recommended Cajun fries, onion rings or coleslaw. I really like that I could pick any side & there was no up charge for certain ones. I chose the coleslaw & added a order of the fries. I was told that it would take 15 minutes & as I waited, I watched him work like a pro. He would ask the kitchen how much longer for certain food/orders then would update the individual. My order was ready around the time he said it would be. When I got home, I was pleasantly surprised at the size of each thigh & drumstick (they only serve dark meat). The coleslaw is larger than a typical side at other fried chicken places & there is a good amount of fries. The chicken was tasty! Skin was crunchy and the meat juicy. I did get it spicy but it's still on the mild side for me. The fries was cooked to perfection... crispy and full of Cajun flavor. I really liked the biscuit too. Coleslaw was good but top sweet for my liking. This place has easily hit my list of top fried chicken places!!! Highly recommend.

This place is a definite must-try. The place has a few spots to eat, and the decor is beyond adorable and fitting. I couldn't get enough of the potato puns. The gentleman was incredibly nice in explaining what the top favs were and was even nice to allow me to add an ingredient, as one of my spuds had something removed (no coleslaw for me). My order consisted of Mexican Fiesta and Nashville Chick. My husband took his Mexican fiesta potato as is, but I ended up switching my pulled chicken for fried chicken. The potatoes were amazing! The base potato was so flavourful and not bland at all, evenly seasoned on its own without the toppings. The toppers were delicious and went well with the spud. It hasn't even been a week, and I'm already jonesing for my next potato bar experience.

Place was nice inside and a step up from regular fast food joints. We ordered: - a bacon cheeseburger - a cheeseburger - a little bacon cheeseburger - poutine - an order of regular fries While we waited we grabbed some of the free peanuts and ate them. Be careful if you have kids with allergies because there's probably peanut dust all over the place. The burgers were a good size. The regulars have two patties while the little ones have just one beef patty. The fries were hot and fresh. We got some of the Cajun spice on the side so we were able to try it with and without. I prefer it without the Cajun spice. The poutine was good, although it could use a bit more cheese and gravy. We were gonna get a shake after we ate but we were so stuffed. We'll have to go back and try all the crazy shakes that they have. I ordered the burger "all the way," which is ketchup, mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, pickles, grilled onions, and grilled mushrooms, and I got some jalapenos on the side. But you can choose your own toppings. Service was fast and lots of parking in the plaza. Overall really good experience, would probably go back, definitely gonna try the milkshakes next time and save space.

I usually get a double patty with sautéed mushrooms, though the mushrooms do make the bun a tad soggy. There is no combo meal here, all items are separately sold, even for fries and drinks. Staff is always ready to serve, with speedy service, and food is always ready in no time :) I do wish they have a better garbage can because it is very hard to throw things out without touching the garbage flap. Overall, the space is clean and well-maintained.

The I Heart Butter Tart Concrete ($6.49) that I ordered was a little too much for myself. I did decide to go through and finish the ice cream / sundae just so I don't have anything to go. The interior of the place was properly though out and well designed. Self order stations are available to order from and the ordering interface is one of the better systems I have seen. When I dined in early afternoon on a weekday it was a rather slow day. There were a couple of Shake Shack employees constantly roaming about the premises ready to attend to any customer request. 1 such employee was thoughtful enough to serve me and a group of other customers some water. I have mixed feelings about the bathroom setup. Yes, it is clean and there were a few toilet rooms available, but it requires a code to be entered prior to using. The door screen shows as vacant but an employee still needs to give out the 4 digit code needed to access the toilets. I also found some issues with the water faucet sensors. It is inconsistently picking up my gestures resulting in an unreliable and unsteady flow of running water when I was washing my hands.

It took two people fifteen minutes to make it. - Communication to the customer on how long it would take for my order to be ready wasn't stellar. On Wednesday night, after driving home from Mississauga, I felt like a milkshake. Where should I get one? I remembered that the Boardwalk Fries Burgers Shake location in Scarborough that I had visited months ago offered milkshakes. I also remembered this Boardwalk location in Markham. It used to be South St. Burger. Markham used to have two locations. It now has zero, which is a downer. I came here at nearly 9 pm. There were lots of parking spots. I pulled into one and entered the store. The Boardwalk is a combo store with Lava Grill. There is one entrance for both eateries. I walked in. There was a couple enjoying a meal. I was the only person at the order area, which is shared between the two eateries. It took a while for the man at Boardwalk to come over. He was making burgers. I ordered these items: - Strawberry shake without whipped cream - Dubai chocolate brownie I paid with a credit card. Done. Communication is an issue here. This man continued making burgers and fries. He didn't let me know how long it would take to make my order. I wasn't in a rush, but I didn't know that it would take fifteen minutes for two folks to try and make my milkshake. I did like that the press for the burgers automatically came down on the patties and had a timer. I also watched fries go into hot oil and the basket automatically come up once the fries were done. It was also on a timer. I noticed that burger man got Lava guy to make my shake. They both went into the back. Burger man came back to assemble the burgers. Lava guy was still in the back. My guess was that there was some issue making my shake. Again, I got no communication until Lava guy came out to look at my order and told me it would be two minutes. Um, sure. I didn't believe it. I was right. I decided to sit down. Burger guy had finished making the burgers. He went outside. He came back in. His first communication to me was two fingers up in the area. Two minutes or victory?! Five minutes later, I saw a shake come out from the back. Lava guy was holding it. Lava guy took a box with a brownie and packed it in a paper bag. I got a napkin, a fork, and a spoon. He handed me a pretty strawberry shake and my paper bag. I thanked both guys, more relieved than anything, and left. I got into my car and drove home. Despite the wait and the lack of decent communication, the two items that I had were excellent. The strawberry milkshake was yummy. I loved the strawberry flavour. It was creamy and enjoyable. I had the Dubai chocolate brownie yesterday. It was so good. I loved the crispy bits with pistachio cream and a delectable, moist brownie layer. Yum! I'm thinking that ordering online and coming here to pick up my order would be best. This place seems to take its time because it seems to be on its own time. Boardwalk has happy hour deals at night. I may give it a try next time. Here's hoping that communication is better. (190)

Overall 4/5 dish. HK style chow mein. A classic. Sadly they noodles came out mostly soggy and mushy already with only a few edges still crispy. The greens in the dish were overcooked. The proteins were mostly fine but some of the bbq pork in it tasted stale bordering on foul. Like they tried to salvage leftover bbq pork that should have gone in the trash. 1/5 due to the pork.
