I needed a last minute massage and Venie had some availability with decent prices. Street parking around here is a nightmare, but there's a lot in the back that I didn't know about. It was kinda hard to see in the dark. She's also on the first floor, next to the stairs of the Craftsman, which was also hard to make out in the dark. She's got a great intake form in which you indicate if you want talking or no talking, and how much pressure you want. I opted for no talking and medium deep. In hindsight, I should have written down deepium because she started off medium and I could barely feel it. Deep, on the other hand, was like from 0-100. It hurt extra good and I was sore for a day or two after. Venie is great. Her space? Not so much. The massage room was a little chaotic and stressful, packed with lots of things and bright lights everywhere. She asked a smart home device to set a timer before we started, which was a first for me. I could also hear her listening to a podcast or something throughout the massage, which was a little distracting. The lights in the room weren't bright but they were bright enough for me to know they were there, even with closed eyes. I don't think I'll be a regular here (I love my regular person! She's great! But she's booked out a month or so in advance!) but Venie's got good prices and her availability appeared to be flexible in case I need a last minute booking. read more

This place is located on the first floor of an old house that's been converted into a business. I liked that, there's two hour parking on the street (if it's not lunch time, it's by Chipotle and can get packed), and the atmosphere in the front is relaxing. I do like that on the form you fill out that you can choose if you'd like to talk or not. The table was fine but where you put your face was broken because midway through my massage it kept falling downward. When she first came in she told Alexa to set the timer for an hour, which is something I had never experienced and came off really unprofessional. During the massage her phone was on vibrate and I could hear it every time she got a notification, and once she even answered the phone. She did tell the person on the other end that she was working and she did say "excuse me", but again, unprofessional. Once about halfway through she verbally asked Alexa how much time was left on the timer. She told me that my ankles were really swollen and I told her that I have big ankles, then she again told me that they were swollen. The way she was telling me about it really left a sour taste in my mouth. The massage was good but she was really unprofessional and I won't be returning. read more

I would mot recommend going here unless you want a lecture while on the table. I was hoping for a relaxing experience and it definitely was not that. She went off on her opinions about Covid and then when I asked to please talk about something else it was just followed by awkward silence and it felt super uncomfortable. I had been planning to buy a two pack and go back but after one experience I will definitely not be going back. She also said she would answer calls during the massage which felt very uncomfortable and have never experienced at any other massage place ever. The massage itself was ok but honestly it's hard to relax and enjoy anything when someone is lecturing you. I received a gift certificate for Xmas and was really excited to use it on my day off. I made an apt through the website and it was really quick and easy. I arrived ten minutes ahead of time and was greeted by the person who eventually was my masseuse. She never introduced herself which I found odd. But no big deal. Anyway the atmosphere was calm but the room was pretty cluttered and cramped. Prior to the session I had let her know that my left hand was sensitive from a recent injury via the intake form. We discussed it verbally before the session stated as well. She set an Alexa timer for 30 min which was weird to me... then she immediately started working on my left hand. I told her it was painful and asked her to move on. She said she had some lotion she could put on it to reduce the swelling, so I agreed and she began squeezing my hand again. I again asked her to move on. About half way through I began to notice vibrations around my feet. I looked up and she asked if the pressure was ok. I responded that it was but I was feeling an odd vibration. She said, ohh that's my phone and emails coming through. SHE WAS EMAILING ON TOP of me. I felt it was incredibly unprofessional. The rest of the massage was basically ruined by this. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Venie the owner, is extremely rude and pushy. She doesn't clean her tools ! Let along the sheets! The wood ones for post surgery are already oily from the previous clients the one with the ultrasound stuff too disgusting. she doesn't wipe to clean before or AFTER! she gave me a robe her last patient used , I know this because she doesn't have a bin for the dirty ones and it was laying on the couch I watched her grab it! She try's to force you to pre pay for services and then acts like she doesn't know you paid already to get you to pay again or tell you she doesn't remember your payment ! SCAM I declined her using the tools on me nicely she told me and I quote " your momma ever tell you, your hard headed". I had my EarPods on and my man heard and was pissed! Also she still put the ultrasonic machine on me when k had my ear pods in and it made a super loud rinjng in my ear I started screaming saying stop stop and she wouldn't said she has to do it I have to do it. That lady is a nut job and disrespectful and disgusting how she's still in business is crazy reporting her !! Let me add. She is very judgmental about bbl and surgery bodies. Talks shit about it says she's natural blah blah but b**** these surgery body's is what's paying you to get food on your table. She swears she knows the healing process but never had surgery so clearly has no idea what it feels like or how it heals! FYI ! Your not suppose to have those tools on a fresh bbl body or lipo body for 3 months , your body is so sensitive it should be LIGHT touch massages to towards your lymphatic system for drainage or you pee it out . She's uneducated in BBL / LIPO and speaks purely off what her clients tell her she knows NOTHING about the pain she was very aggressive w me I was 8 days po. RUN ! I've been working with massage therapists for over 11 years following an accident, so I've become very familiar with myofascial release, triggerpoint, lymphatic drainage, deep tissue, etc. After moving into the area I've been looking for a therapist and found Venie. She has great intuition into your trouble spots which is something you can't really teach. I recommend her if you're looking to get overall bodywork done. For me, it's not an atmosphere for relaxation since she has constantly picked up multiple calls during all of our sessions. She has a very specific method of massage therapy and I've found her to be less flexible than other therapists in working with you outside of that routine. So it might not be the best place to go if you know what you need and need a therapist who will adjust. Other than that if you're needing overall bodywork, I highly recommend her! read more

"Meh. I've experienced better" couldn't have summed up my time here any better. First, I scheduled an appointment with Meeka at 1 pm on Sunday. Arrived early only to find out they don't even open until 1. Was let inside to fill out paperwork and wait for her to get ready and open up shop. This really wasn't that big of a deal because it was a Sunday; but, maybe you shouldn't schedule appointments right at the time you open if you're not going to be there early enough to get prepared beforehand. Second, I scheduled a massage to have an hour of quiet and relaxation. Neither of these were achieved as she asked "Echo, how much time is left?" 5 times during my massage. She also must have ate something that caused her to have a little acid reflux because she kept burping during her time with me. Third, I'm not exactly sure what she was distracted by, but as she was working my feet and my neck she kept stopping, no pressure applied, just holding my weight for a good 15-30 seconds each time before continuing. Fourth, the table seemed small and had a pillow or something that kept causing me to feel like I was sliding off. This only added to the non-relaxing state of the whole experience. A little upset I paid any money for this, but at least I utilized the yelp discount. Sad to say I won't be back. read more

Don't judge a book by its cover bc when I first tried to find this place and ended up in the basement of a corporate building, I was like what the eff is going on. Especially since I went on a weekend and there were barely any people around... But then Venie started the massage and it was magical. She's a talker who didn't hesitate to comment on my extremely tight shoulders but after an hour, I felt amazing. Not many people or places had availability on a Monday. I called here and Venie told me she could take me at 6:30 that same eve. Finally a good chair massage spot! I like a good chair massage when I want my neck and shoulders worked on. I was able to get a 30 minute chair massage here for $30. The room I received my massage in was decorated nicely and had a comforting zen vibe, which I appreciated. A good ambiance really enhances a relaxing massage experience. Meka was my therapist and she did a wonderful job melting away the tension in my shoulders. I had been buying groupons for massages recently and was tired of getting mediocre massages that weren't relieving my tension. I'm happy I found this place on Yelp. I found Venie on Yelp after a bike ride a few weeks ago to help a friend who needed immediate attention..she got us in within 2 hours and did a great job...I bought four massages..THEN I had knee surgery last Tuesday, all went well, I thought my recovery was going well..a few hours in the office Friday, Trip Sunday, Office monday, but I was SORE, limping, doing what you should do after surgery, right?
