I have very tightly bound muscles...I am under intense stress, I work out a lot, but I'm not a very big person...so massage is never hard enough or deep enough for me. I prefer a "working man's" massage, and normally have to request men. But their fingers aren't small enough to really get into finer muscle fiber. The ladies here mean business. Ive been coming here for years, they are uniformly sweethearts but they know my preferences and they give fierce massages. Any pain, swelling or stiffness is GONE after. The big issue is this place is that the quality of the massage is so inconsistent. When it's great, it really relaxes your muscles, but when it is bad, it's ineffective at best and torturous at worst. I seriously wish the owner pays more attention to the staff selection and hire only competent staff. Sometimes it feels like it's just a front for anyone wishing to come to work at the US, some of the staff are rather clueless about his job, or have such bad time management that they spend 70% of the allotted time on one part of the body and then hurried through the rest. I mean, staff is overall courteous and they give you the full hour that you book. Price is great, we got massage for two at a price that is for one at other places. Foot massage is clothes on in the big room, but other massage you do get your only room and clothes off. They have plenty of staff so usually you can call and get an appointment in short notice. If you book Denny or Kelly they are great, but I won't waste my money with anyone else. read more

Well done! I came here spontaneously as I'm in town flying out of Sacramento tomorrow. They provided a great job with the 60 min body massage followed by the 30 min foot massage. It was very much needed and they worked out spots of muscle tightness I didn't even know I had! This foot massage was my 3rd time ever getting a foot massage and it was really the icing on the cake! Clean space and welcoming person (Danny) who greeted us. Called just before coming and made appointments for me and my daughter. My daughter got the 60 minute massage and I got the 60 minute half and half: 30 minutes massage and 30 minutes foot rub. Lilly was my massage therapist. My neck and lower back were extremely tight and painful. Lilly went to work on my lower back first. She stretched, kneaded and managed to reduce the amount of pain that I had. Then she moved to my neck and did the same. I can now turn my neck with little to no pain I'm sure that regular visits will diminish the pain even more. She then prepare to do the foot rub. I moved to a lower bed and she got a tub of hot water. I laid back on the bed and submerged my feet while she massaged my head, neck, and upper back. That was a nice bonus. I have neuropathy in my feet and they are often quite numb or tingly! She really helped cut the numbness with her therapeutic hands. At the end of my session, I felt considerably better. I am very happy to have covered this place and plan to return soon and I will ask for Lilly again. read more

I've been here four times now and they're consistently good massages. I get the 90 minute massages and I have called, booked on the website, but never just walked in. They have heated massage tables and you can get all sorts of add-ons. I remember the names of Cindy and Jenny and both were pretty good massages! read more

Admittedly this review is about 10 years late but I have to say that Ive been to at least a dozen places all over the Bay Area and Portland since I moved from Sacramento- and nobody has come close to Happy Feet, especially at the price point. I just paid more than double for a 90 minute massage at a similar place (that I will go back to- they were very good) but I kept thinking to myself- cmon do that thing they did at Happy Feet in Sac! Found Happy Feet Spa on Groupon. I ended up getting a 90min massage with Himalayan stones. Sophia was my masseuse and she did a good job. I did enjoy how clean and spacious the rooms were. After the massage, Sophia greeted me and had a black booklet with "Tips" on it and opened it up right in front of me. I tipped generously, and she didn't say much and counted the money and left. Front of staff (maybe owner), probably mentioned it 3-4 times, when I got there and when I left, that if I were to come back, that I should not buy from Groupon, and just buy with him. Was a bit annoying to hear. Just a heads up on the tip portion and Groupon comments you might get. Parking in the plaza is easy to find. read more

This is a second time I came to this location. The first time was with my sister. For the price I think it's ok. I had my go to in the Bay Area that priced similar pricing and I enjoyed the experience a little bit more. I'm pregnant at 20 weeks and I was able to lay on my belly for 1 hour. I did tell the cashier and my massage therapist this but he didn't seem to be a little bit more careful about it. He still presses pretty hard on my back near the belly area. He did ask me if the pressure was ok and if he was being to hard and I said no bc he wasn't pressing hard on the upper back and showers but the problem area I was experiencing was my legs and lower back and I needed more work there but he didn't spend too much time there. Called Happy Feet at 12:30p for a massage for my friend and myself. They had an opening at 1p which was perfect! We got there and they took us to a room with 2 beds. We got comfy and they soaked our feet in very hot water while they massaged our scalp and shoulders. Then they dried off our feet and massaged our feet and legs. They ended with a back massage. This was one of the best massages I've gotten. The girl giving me the massage was very strong, a bit more muscle in the massage than I would like but I was also very sore and sensitive from a heavy workout. She got out all my knots though so I can't even be mad. On the menu, this is considered the 60 min feet massage but it's more like a full body reflexology massage. It was $40 each which was a steal!! After our kids went to bed my husband and I came here for massages together for the first time in years. We've both had massages a number of times but he said "I think that was the best massage I've ever had, and I've had some good ones." I also felt like I got exactly what I asked for. Whatever you get, it will be good -- be prepared to tip! It smelled clean when we walked in, not overpowering like heavy cleaning chemicals, but pleasant and mindfully maintained. It's no frills but it was tidy and clean at the entrance and in each room including the bathroom. The music was not too loud or distracting, standard massage music. The place was quiet as were our masseuses, any necessary talking between them was at a calm, whisper level. Gold standard. We decided to get the hour and a half massages because we rarely do this at all. We both requested deep tissue. Danny said ok, you will have two men do the massages tonight (he was my masseuse). After we derobed and laid on our beds, my husband changed his mind. He asked for a Swedish massage instead which was great for him, though he did ask for deeper pressure in certain spots. His masseuse was an older gentleman named Sam and he responded perfectly each time. Danny was great, he checked in with me a few times regarding pressure & I never had to ask for more pressure. Any time I do get a massage I get deep tissue and without fail I have to ask for more pressure at least once or twice and rarely do they adjust as asked. Not the case here, he noticed me take some deep breaths at different points where I was experiencing a lot of tension & he asked if I was okay. Since massages put you in close quarters I feel like it's appropriate to say that my masseuse's nails were trimmed, he didn't emit any odors, seemed to be super mindful about his own breathing and mouth noises while close to me, and respected my personal space -- I've had other massages where you are wondering which of their body parts are touching you and that can be awkward instead of relaxing. Overall, I was really tense and got the deep tissue massage + foot massage that I paid for and hoped for and I couldn't be happier. Kind, skilled people taking pride in their business. The day of my service I reiterated that I was there for the 60 min foot massage (w/ exfoliating scrub). Although the staff were pleasant throughout my visit the young lady giving me my massage only massaged my feet for 20 mins. The asked me to remove my shirt for a back massage.
