My sister got married here 4 years ago or so but I didn't get a chance to see every little detail when she got married. Now that it was my turn, I was sooooo excited I picked Signature Manor. With full transparency, we visited at least 2 other locations before making our decision and were looking at at least 1 more go consider. Our must haves: 1. Stand alone facility (no crammed in a shopping center) 2. Clean facility 3. Plenty of Parking 4. A place that won't nickel and dime you 5. Great staff to work with ***First Impression: This place was even better than I remembered. They had done a ton of renovations and the place looked good, plenty of Parking and the staff was also so nice and courteous. Can I let you guys in on a secret? We would go to Signature Manor every month (because we chose to make payments) before we knew we could pay online... we didnt read the fine print... Anywho, we just enjoyed going there... Talking to the staff, asking questions... After a while, they were like family!! ***Venue: The venue is a nice stand alone. It is large on the outside and on the inside which is a great use of space. There are restrooms upstairs and downstairs. There is also an additional room upstairs for children or whatever you like. Essentially, the entire venue is yours. We have seen some nightmarish weddings where the guests are in the wrong wedding because they are connected/ joined. Not here!!! The separate Bride and Groom Suites are nice because they are right by the elevator and they have locks on them. Very safe! The ballroom is huge and the foyer area is big enough to host a ceremony or cocktail reception. ***Parking: There was plenty of parking, which wraps around the building. ***Food: The kitchen is super flexible and can accommodate anything. We had an amazing food tasting, where we were able to accommodate even our Vegan guests! The cake was also amazing. Yay Cakes by Gina! ***Staff: So, I must say, I am very detail oriented and thought that they may be a problem, but it was not! We worked with Katherine who helped our vision come to life. We were then assigned Alex as our Coordinator and we worked very well together. She allowed me to be free with my super crazy ideas and executived them perfectly. She gave us her insights on what has not worked well and what has in the past, which was very helpful. I would be remiss if I left our everyone who made our Wedding possible from Alice, who heard all of my stressed out sob stories, Asia who kept the party going with Alex, Ryan who gave us a male's perspective and always knew how to keep the jokes coming to lighten the mood... we even saw Bonnie a few times! Now that is what we call family. And we never saw any attitudes or craziness from the staff no matter how many questions we asked. They were always there to answer and went above and beyond. A++ for Customer Service. And it's not only them, but their vendors too including our Photographer Tomas. He spend so much time with us, getting to know. So personable and friendly. A rare and valued trait for a photographer!!! ***Cleanliness: This place is super clean. The staff is very attentive and didn't allow dirty dishes to remain on the guest tables. They do have valet, but the line was too long. Their parking lot wasn't very big. So, valet needed to be creative with parking cars. We opted to self park, which was problematic with the rain and standing water in the parking spots. Inside, there was security on the first floor and a winding staircase. The wedding reception was located on the second floor. In front of the venue entrance, there was a fun photo booth, a full bar, a pile of wedding favors, and a backdrop for picture taking with the bride and groom. The reception venue itself was huge. For perspective, this venue housed about 600 guests. So, if you're looking for a venue for a large party, this is your spot. There were brightly lit, huge chandeliers above us. There was a decent sized dance floor in the middle of the room, and a long table for guests to enjoy milk tea from The Teahouse - I enjoyed the strong tea flavor, despite how sweet it was for me. We got to our table, which barely squeezed nine of us in comfortably. But, we managed. I did enjoy how much food we received at this wedding. Like other Kim Son weddings I've attended, I'm always left full after these events. There were 9 courses, which included the wedding cake. My favorites of the night included the Peking Duck & Steamed Bun, Grilled New York Strip & Asparagus (although, I didn't eat the asparagus. lol), the seafood part of the Seafood Bird's Nest, and the Yang Chow Fried Rice. The Photo Booth was really fun. There were all kinds of props and quotes to choose from for fun pictures. Although, there was only a short amount of time to pick our props and take the pictures. Overall, I had a good time at this wedding venue. If you plan to have a large wedding reception, this spot can accommodate you. The food is your average Vietnamese dishes and they do accommodate to vegetarians. You can request a blueprint of how the tables will be set up to plan your seating chart. You can also ask the manager to tour the venue beforehand. However, sometimes it was hard to get in touch with the manager. Although the venue was spacious, the parking lot was not. At least not if you have 400-500 guests coming. On Sunday's, there is a church in the same plaza so the parking spaces were taken up. Additional parking can be found around the plaza. Overall, a good venue to plan your special occasions.

This ensures that they are able to offer the best service and packages to their clients. The Hendrix is at a location that is excellent because it has ample parking and it's pretty close to anything. You just hop on the highway and go where you're going (which is perfect for your contracted vendors for events). It's even more of a plus because it's 5 minutes away from me! Ha! Not only their open house, but I've been to weddings here and the venue just offers so much to its clients including a DJ and tech booth area...something that most venues don't even consider.

A few hot plates available were the butternut squash rigatoni, crab asparagus, pork belly, and meat loaf. I would say my favorites were the crab asparagus and the short rib Wellington bites. The venue itself is quite beautiful. The dance floor is a bit small and is raised, so some care should be taken for mixing too much alcohol into that. A string quartet with pop music was playing and the acoustics were very nice in the main reception hall. When my mom went to ask how much was left, the person at the bar said we finished it all. When she asked to see the empty bottles, they said they already threw everything away. It really gives old money vibes without the need for an old money budget. Becky and the Parador staff are wonderful to work with. They are supremely attentive, and worked with us to find a budget and date that worked for us. It's a beautiful historic building located in the Heights, and it's a quirky space, with the old truck bays downstairs and a more conventional event space upstairs. The Good: Lovely historic building. Decent parking. Central location. The Bad: Difficult Management. Management is available only on Saturdays from 9-10am. No other times - if you need to measure, plan, or tour the venue, that's when you've got to be there. No rehearsal times are possible, unless you rent the venue again. Management seemed put off after our second visit - we wouldn't have had to come back if their hours were not so brief! Questionable Business Practices. We meticulously cleaned the venue after our event, yet $60 was withheld from our deposit, without explanation. After calling them, the excuse we were given was that there was "water on the floor, probably from someone dragging a garbage can." That costs $60 to fix? All in all, it's a pretty place and inexpensive, but the fact that the lady running the operation is so difficult to work with makes it impossible to recommend the venue.
