They even took care of small scratches that weren't part of the accident because they were polishing anyway, and did me a favor. All in all, very impressed. The accident was stressful, but Relux definitely made it a little less stressful. The only issue I have is the car rental company they work with, but honestly, that's not really something Relux can control.

I initially worked…read morewith him (Lewis) 2-3 years ago for bumper replacement and brakes, and to be honest, he did an okay job apart from delaying the work for 2 weeks from the agreed date. On May 5 I dropped my VW Atlas at his shop to install a new fuel tank strap. He checked the vehicle and told me that the job is going to cost me $185-200 for the labor as I had provided him the part. As per him, he said the vehicle will be ready tomorrow around noon. The next morning he called me around 9-10am and told me that we have a bigger problem. He said in order for him to install the strap, he would have to remove the whole underbody of my car, and it's a 15-hour labor job, and he quoted me $700. I trusted him and agreed on that. He said my vehicle won't be ready until tomorrow by end of the day, as it's a very big job. Guess what? He called me after 5-6 hours and said my vehicle is ready and work is done. It was strange that he said a few hours ago that it's a big job and it's going to take a straight 15 hours, and now how come he was able to get it done in 4-5 hours? I arrived at the shop and asked him how he was able to complete the work in just 4-5 hours, as on the phone he told me that he would have to remove the whole underbody and put it back. He said he had to bring 3 other mechanics to work on my car just to get the job done faster. A day before, he told me that he is the one many armies and doesn't have any employees. So, he paid 3 mechanics out of the $700 job just to get the work done faster even though we agreed on the next day evening. What he said was not believable; however, I paid him the money. The invoice he gave me was very vague, and it had no labor hours mentioned. The next day I called him and asked him if he took pictures before and after he took the underbody off. He said he did not take any pictures. Normally any auto body repair shop or any mechanic takes pictures of everything for a job this big for liability purposes. I asked for his CCTV, which he declined also. I checked my VW app history when he had my vehicle. It had not shown any history or activity of the fuel tank or any part being taken off from it. It shows every small update of vehicle activity, but I had no sign of it. I confronted him about providing me proof that he had taken the whole underbody apart and put it back; he kept making excuses and disconnected the phone. Basically, he lied and was not able to prove the work he had done. Let me tell you guys this: don't let his nice gesture with words like "brother," "sister," "yes, sir," "yes, ma'am," or "God bless you" fool you. First he would give you a decent price, but later he would call you and raise the price 3-4X. So stay away from him. If anybody else has had a similar issue or experience, please report him to BAR.
