This place is only getting 3 stars out of me because of 1 - the service here was just bad. I mean the lady said good morning but that was about all. She didn't even look like she liked her job at all or wanted to be there, which is sad because who wouldn't want to work around that amazing food? But oh well. Reason 2 - they had frozen cheese cake and not fresh? I've never been to a bakery that didn't have fresh cheese cake and only frozen. Big disappoint to me. But over all the pizza bread was fresh and and rolls were a day off but half off and still fresh in my book. The cannoli was pretty good, not the best I've had but I am from New York and from an Italian family who made food like this all the time for the holidays. But over all I'll be going back to this place for more little treats. read more

Their butter cookies are great too and every once in a while they put out a special product for an upcoming holiday. I've never had anything I didn't like from Tringali's. Over the years I've gotten cannoli, cream puff, pizza bread, baba, napolian and a mouthful of other wonderful things. None of them falling short of being perfect. But hands down, best thing I've ever eaten from here is their cannoli pazcki. Never have I heard of anyone else making these. I don't know if I'd go to try them either, that's how good this is. Parking lot is large enough, although it can be very hard to turn out of if you're planning on going South on Schoenherr. If you plan on getting pazcki's here, do it before Tuesday. The parking lot gets way jammed, with cars lined up waiting just to park. The inside also could use a little sprucing up. read more

They bake the freshest sesame bread, whether its a 6' or 12' sub bun, a 3 foot party sub or a nice loaf of Italian bread. Sometimes I go there just for a small pack of sub buns, a yummy cannoli and a free sniff of bread goodness! read more

My coworker brings pastries from this place into work every once in a while. everytime I try something different it's better then the last thing I tried. I wasn't a huge fan of cannolis before I had some from Tringali's and now I can eat an entire box of them. I live a half a mile from the bakery and went in there for fat tuesday. The paczkis were very delicious the conoli filled ones were amazing. The staff behind the counter were fast and very friendly. I would definitely go back for more deserts and even bread for dinner. read more

The pastries are awesome, but the staff is less than desirable; they are down right rude. They rush you through your order, over charge you, and then get upset when you point out their mistake. Be prepared to feel like you are unconvincing them by shopping there. read more

The best pastries in town! They are not only delicious but they are beautiful. I got a dozen donuts and they gave me a bakers dozen. They were so fresh that they were still warm! And I got my husband this pastry called fuzzy peach. It is this sweet pastry with what I think was a rum glaze and filled with cannoli cream and sprinkled with powdered sugar. And they have the best paczki. They are real ones too, not like those gross ones from Walmart or Kroger. It's hard not to stop in daily. Lol! They also have fresh baked bread. In order to finish off a proper Italian meal, you need a proper Italian dessert and that would be the cannoli. I drove all the way from Waterford just to buy these particular cannoli to bring to a family dinner. The drive was totally worth it. The shell, absolutely crisp and flaky, the filling, creamy and sweet with just the right amount of chocolate chips sprinkled in and of course the dipped edges of chopped nuts on each end. Manga I say! Everyone at the table commented on how delicious they were. They make them fresh all day long. The girl that waited on me told me she had just made my batch 10 mins before hand. My wife kind of found this bakery by accident one day. One of her friends recommended it to her since my wife loves bake, and in turn tries out various bakeries locally and in NYC. Tringali's is located on Schoenherr, just north of 12 Mile Road. Even though we have passed them numerous times going home, I didn't even know that it was an Italian bakery because the main building is set way back off if the main road. Well, one afternoon my wife came home with a box of donuts that was absolutely delicious and fresh. And this was around 3:00pm in the afternoon, well past the prime time for fresh donuts. I could tell that they weren't from Dunkin Donuts, Tim Horton's, or any other of those chain stores because they were so tasty. They were just way too good. Since then we've tried their Apple Fritters, Fruit Danish, and Raisin Bread (natural or with a sugar glaze) with equal enjoyment. Now if you are really into Italian cooking, Tringali's is also a full service grocery store with some hard to get Italian ingredients for the home "Chef de Cuisine". And if you are an avid fan of donuts like me, then it's the place to get some of the best donuts in Metro Detroit. read more

I am 46 years old and love to bake all kinds of bread kneading it by hand. My mother (age 71) grew up in Harper Woods, Michigan and worked at Tringali's bakery when she was a teenager. I remember trips to Harper Woods as a kid to visit my grandparents. We would always stop at Tringali's Bakery and load up with as many loaves of italian bread as we could buy, freeze them and bring them home with us to upper Michigan. It was better than cake and I have never forgotten it. I haven't had it in over 25 years but, Tringali's Italian bread is the best italian bread I have ever tasted. This place is a hidden gem! I can't believe I found something like this in the area. I haven't used their deli counter but I have put good use to their bakery. Everything I have gotten has been fresh and super delicious. It's also very reasonably priced. I can see why they have been around for 55 years. The quality of the pastries is outstanding.
