Not worth it. Received a DIRTY box for my mini cake I ordered. Customer service was not very friendly. The inside smells great because of the donuts and cute decor. There aren't prices on anything so it's really inconvenient to have to ask the prices for everything. There was a box of assorted cookies (that the price is based on weight) and the woman said "I don't know they're different weights" and didn't offer to weigh them or anything! Donuts are $1.50 each and cookies are around $1 each. A six pack of assorted macarons are around $15. The box in the picture had a piece of cake that was over $6. No handicap doors but there is handicap parking and as long as someone is available to hold the door, you'll be able to enter. My suggestion and lesson from here is if you want a beautiful decorated cake purchase one of the pre- made cakes from the fridge for sales. I was shocked and disappointed by lack of design for my 60th birthday cake, when ordering inside bakery I was lead to believe that my cake too would be given the same concern of being decorated as the ones that was made up for selling in the fridge, right ( flowers) are simple only to arrive with the frosting being poorly smoothed with 2 huge plastic flowers and a plastic sign on the side written happy birthday with my name., when I asked could happy birthday be ( WRITTEN ) at least on the top, it was taken to the back for a few seconds ( announced) and the sign was placed on top with the smear showing where it had been removed again no concern for the design display or the presentation to me as being the customer, it was then discussed with me letting her know how disappointed I was with the lack of decorations and frosting smoothing to be then told caramel frosting is hard to decorate. Each visit I shared with them my very long drive to their services was left on dead ear as well, which will not be taken again for this is my last time of purchasing anything from this bakery . read more

I ordered a cake from Giuseppe's Bakery, after my friend referred me, as she had ordered cakes from the bakery several times before for events such as birthdays, and a baby shower. So I went with her one day to check it out. And to compare to Sweethearts Bakery, which is a bakery that I had ordered a cake from in the past. Overall, I selected Giuseppe's Bakery because I loved the designs of the cakes opposed to Sweethearts Bakery. So after reviewing some of the cakes, and decided to basically copy a design that I saw on their Facebook page. I thought the cake was so nice, and a perfect fit for what I had envisioned. So I ordered the cake, which ended up being a total of $95.00 (and that was without the cost of the nice blinged out numbers I requested on top of the cake). That's what brings the rating down, just Bc I always felt the cost was way too pricey for the cake. However, I had already put a deposit on the cake, and at that point, I had not researched other bakeries. I was very pleased with the design of the cake, but again, for the price, it didn't knock my socks off at all. The cake was ok, but not as moist or as sweet as I like. I will say that customer service was nice, again, the cake in regards to the decoration was nice, but the price and overall taste of the cake did not match one another. read more

Incredibly rude staff my daughter tried to order a cake for my birthday she was told to text order details throughout the condescending conversation she addressed my daughter as ma'am we can only do this and ma'am we can only do that. My daughter is a college student trying to do something nice for me with the little that she has she knows I rarely celebrate my birthday this bakery was a referral from a family member. My daughter sent her a final text asking to confirm the cake order do you think they responded? No! please use another bakery that treats people with respect. OMG! (oh my giuseppe). This is a crime--I can't believe this place isn't reviewed yet. I don't even like sweets (I'd rather eat a bag of chips than have a cupcake) but the cannolis here are to die for. In fact I think I am already dead and just wandering around in the blissful afterlife. And if you like cake they put that delectable filling in a dessert called casata cake. They also have great bread. Every Sunday is a treat because that's when we visit the mother in law and load up on sweet treats and bread. A great reason to head over to the east side. read more

This place has really gone downhill. They're selling yesterdays bread as fresh made and cannolis used to be way better. Been going here for years and the last two times they have been less than acceptable. Extra charges for credit card use, extra charge for phone orders and very abrupt sales people. My mom ordered 2 cakes from this bakery,a caramel cake and a red velvet cake. Both cakes were 3 layers and were beautifully frosted! Our guests were really impressed with the presentation,we only hoped they would be moist on the inside. Not only were the perfectly moist,but they were light and fluffy at the same time. The cakes we gone so fast ,I only had one piece of each lol...with that said I will getting my cake for new years Eve here. This place is the real deal!!! The cake I also found online, and it was in the shape of a frog. I gotta say, dealing with everyone over the phone was very pleasant ! Friendly, assuring customer service! I ordered a Two Tier, Lavander, Chocolate Covered Strawberries flowing from the top layer down the cake from GIUSEPPE BAKERY ON KELLY ROAD IN EASTPOINTE, MI. It cost me just over $183.00. I was giving myself the party of my lifetime, since I had never done so. I picked the cake up (by the way, it was not ready so I had to wait), the lady taped it into a huge cardboard box, and told me to keep it cool. I placed it on my daughters lap and gingerly drove straight home, I emptied out my refrigerator, including shelves and placed the box inside, where it remained until I went to place it onto the table as my centerpiece. Now, on the drive home, my daughter said "Mom, I think the strawberries are falling off because I heard something hit the box". I told her OK, we'll put it back into it's spot when we open it. Imagine my horror when we opened the box, and found that the bottom tier had split open and the top layer had slid sideways down into the cake and up side the box. I called GIUSEPPE back and told them what happened and they said, "if we would have delivered it, we would be responsible ". In otherwords, TOO BAD FOR ME. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!! This BAKERY is by far the worst I have ever been to!!! EVER!! I recently ordered a cake and got the worst service and product. I was initally so excited about the cake went out of my way to go there based on a few reviews and a woman who highly recommend it. Boy was I surprised!!! When I went to pick up the cake, the girl who brought it from the back set it on the counter and I noticed the black was charcol gray NOT what I ordered one of the edible images was turned upside down and there were crumbsall around in the corner of the cake!!! I asked about the crumbs and she told me it was from the bread and the cooler where I guess my cake was sitting uncovered???!! There is no excuse for this, then the big 30 on the cake did not say 30th birthday it read happy 30 birthday.....!!!! WHAT!!! I was so upset the writing was written so sloppy and in all capital letters, I felt so ripped off and didn't even have time to have a new one made, they never offered to fix it and when I called to complain the woman listened and then asked if I was done yet and that she was tired of listening to my bullshit!! If I could rate a negative star I would. My wedding was this past Saturday and we Received our cake and it looked damaged at the top the frosting was filled in. It was a clump of frosting sticking out. Speaking of frosting it was super thick. It was like four inches of frosting. I wanted a red velvet cake not frosting. And to top it all off the cake was super dry, so dry that we needed milk to even touch it. I talked to the management and she wanted us to bring the dry cake back. HORRIBLE SERVICE! The owver of this establishment is despicable! my cake order was supposed to be ready at noon. When I arrived at 12:45 they were still working on it. When the cake finally came out I pointed out the decorations on top looked flimsy and not as robust as the image I had shown them. I was told she only charged me for a certain number of stars (when did that happen?) and it would cost me for more stars. Out of frustration the baker (owner) threw two more giant stars on top. I then noticed that one of the dozen cupcake flavors was wrong. I called well in advance to make a small change on th flavor. I was told over the phone that was no problem. Now I was told they did not have a record of it. The owner came from the back with the biggest attitude on the planet! She accussed me of lying! She said it was my word against hers. I was appalled. She was inconsiderate of my time then accused me of trying to get money back! I was completely offended by that remark. I paid for my order all at once. I just wanted what I ordered not a refund. She thensaid she had no more time for this and walked off. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE! If there is a problem with your order it is all on you.
