What a great gem of a cake shop! I reached out a few weeks ahead of my son's birthday party as I was having trouble finding a bakery with the availability to make me a custom cake. Sonali was a life saver and was able to deliver exactly what I had envisioned for my son's airplane-themed birthday cake. She was very easy to work with and created such a beautiful design. In addition to looking amazing, the cake tasted spectacular as well! These days I find it's really difficult to get a cake that tastes as good as it looks, but all of the guests raved about how tasty the cake was and I wholeheartedly agree. I had a two tiered cake with the top layer being funfetti with a Bavarian filling and custard and the bottom was chocolate with Bavarian filling and custard. Both were heavenly. I ordered a cake from here last minute and for $205 for the cake... what a HUGE disappointment! I ordered a cake with strawberry filling and the owner told me to keep it at room temperature, which I did... didn't serve for about 2 hrs and the filling and strawberries were FROZEN! For that amount, the cake should've been MUCH BETTER. Not to mention when I went to pick it up, the card machine stopped working, so I went to get my phone out of the car to pay through PayPal and she started helping the customers that came in AFTER me and I stood there waiting and waiting, when I was in a rush. SAVE your money and go elsewhere! Lastly! She spelled the name WRONG and had to correct that while I was standing right there! Unbelievable, this place! When I called to complain, instead of just apologizing she was justifying herself. She didn't apologize for anything...helping another customer before me, who by the way was purchasing a $40 cake, or misspelling the name. Not one apology! Cake wasn't great and neither was the customer service. So disappointed! $205 is not a small price for a cake serving 20-25 ppl. Pros: Service is good! I was able to order a custom cake on my birthday, and they got it ready for me 3 hours later! The lady who runs the shop is very nice. Cons: The cake I ordered was a chocolate cake with raspberry mousse filling. I had them put cream cheese frosting on it as well. In terms of appearance, it was pretty average, but I didn't ask for anything specific or special so that's probably on me. In terms of taste...I was severely disappointed. The cream cheese frosting tasted like pure whipped butter. Not buttercream, straight up butter. Disgusting. The sponge was very mid, as was the raspberry mousse. My partner and I couldn't even finish one slice. It kinda ruined my birthday night, especially because I paid 40$ for the smallest sized whole cake they offered. I love cream cheese frosting, and the only reason I bought this was because of the frosting. The icing on the cake (lol) was that I drove 40 minutes each way to pick this up. I'm a pretty experienced baker, and I can honestly say that I've made better cream cheese frosting and sponge. I've had better cakes that came from Kroger for 10$ as well. Major bummer. Maybe their other flavors are better, I can't vouch for that, but I won't be coming back all the same. I would like to emphasize that the lady behind the counter was very nice though. read more

Best cake my family has ever had, and that is saying a lot. We have tried many great bakeries, but Thomas bakery is by far the best. I have placed an order last year for my baby shower and instead of putting dowe the deposit I paid for the whole thing because I really liked her cake and I ordered from here before! I ended up having the baby early and I called two weeks before the shower to cancel my order. Wow. Again, Yelp didn't let me down! Picked up two cakes today: The Swiss Black Forest Cake and the White Bavarian with raspberry filling. They are out-of-this-world! I don't like cakes that are super sweet. These cakes are perfect. I honestly cannot decide which one is my favorite. I didn't get a chance to meet the couple that other Yelpers have mentioned here. I came in here after searching for a delicious birthday cake and Thomas's was the perfect place to go. The cake shop is opened by an old couple, who are both adorable in their way, so friendly, for 20 years now. Their famous cakes include a Swiss Black Forest cake and the White Bavarian cake with raspberry filling. I bought the last White Bavarian the day I came in and was so excited to have gotten it. Everyone at the birthday party raved about how delicious it was. I usually do not like a lot of cream because of how sweet it is but this was so light and fluffy, and not overly sweet, absolutely divine! I didn't have a knife that would be big enough to cut through the cake and the couple kindly offered to let me borrow one of their knife and showed me how to slice the cake in 16-18 pieces. I was so taken how nice they were as I was a new customer, yet they just let me borrow one of their specialty knives. I came back the next day to return their knife and bought a tiramisu. And wow! The best I ve had around the area. It had the perfect layers of everything and I could taste the coffee powder. For $3, you get a very generous portion! While there, many customers came in to buy treats and make orders with them, all whom seem were regular customers. They all knew them and greeted each other by first name basis.
