The project ended up having some extra challenges because of the location of the panel, and Ben did a great job. I'd especially like to highlight how helpful Ben was in helping me figure out exactly what I needed for the project, from permits to other contractors - even offering that help *before* we had picked Precision Electrical to do the work. That sort of attitude made the decision to go with Precision easy, and we're glad we did!

Chris was awesome!!!…read more The outlet for our dishwasher and garbage disposal was acting up. The garbage disposal would turn on without the switch ever being flipped. The dishwasher refused to run right. My wife and I replaced the outlet, and that did exactly NOTHING. We try to troubleshoot what's happening, and I manage to blow the whole house breaker. I can't solve the small problem, and now I can't get the power on to the house! Wonderful! So, we go a night without power. Eat by candlelight and play games together on our phones rather than watch TV. The next morning, Chris answers the phone right away. Another 20 minutes and $140, and we are launched, happily back into the 21st Century. I asked for an explanation, and after laying the issue out 3 times, I think I get it. There's a tab on the outlet that must be broken off before it's installed in a situation like ours. Because we didn't, it overloaded the system and blew the breaker. Our specific main breaker switch is so sticky or unused that it took a surprisingly manly amount of force to get it to move, and as a dude who's broken a couple dozen things by torquing on 'em too hard, I'd been hesitant to apply the force required to actually flip the switch. Thank you, Chris, for your quick, cheerful, capable response. It's nice to have things working again the way they should.

An internet search revealed that our old Zinsco panel was obsolete and that the aged breakers were a fire risk. A trusted friend (general contractor) highly recommended NEV. Norland was fantastic! He handled all the permits & inspections with Santa Clarita Building & Safety, expeditiously installed an upgraded panel and helped arrange the necessary stucco repair. His bid was clear, fair and easy to understand. When he said he'd come at a certain time, he was there on the dot. (We are happy to put away our lanterns and extension cords.)

Wow, I don't even know where to begin…read more I initially called David Electric for a quote to install some outlets and David asked if I would like one over the phone, or if I wanted a person to come out. I opted to have someone come out just so I can be clear on what I'm looking for. Prior to arrival I received a text that Sam was en route. Sam arrived on time, and looked at where I wanted the outlets and quickly provided me a quote. I went ahead and called back to accept the quote, and Sam was able to come out the next day. Sam and Dallas showed up on time and went straight to work. They were both hard working, respectful, personable, and extremely knowledgable. They installed 4 GFCI outlets and replaced another outlet in about 3 hours. I was very impressed because every time they wanted to move personal items on the countertop they would ask me first. Sam also noticed that I was working, so he would warn me when it was going to get loud, and asked if I would be in any meetings or if it was okay to shout out to me - I found this to be extremely considerate. I asked Sam a few questions about what he thinks I should and shouldn't consider, and he was very honest. He had valid reasons for what I should consider, and he bluntly told me he's not going to try to sell me on something I don't need. I really appreciated the transparency. You could definitely tell by the way Dallas and Sam treated not just me, but one another that they are both men of integrity and it was such a pleasure to have them come out. I would definitely call David Electric if I have any more electrical needs!
