I have been struggling with weight loss for a few yrs now - I thought going to a dr for assistance would be a great way to get the ball rolling. The woman that came in and took my weight was very sweet and assured me this was a great starting point ... but then ... the man that came in to discuss diet and plans was the rudest most condescending person I've ever talked to. He had a printout of the keto diet .. didn't even ask if that's how I wanted to do this... just handed it to me ... quickly went over it with me and said "if you don't eat like this, that's when (pointed at my thighs) that happens" ... and proceeded to wave his hand at my body with a look of disgust on his face. Sir, Do you think I'm not aware I'm overweight??? I'm very well aware why I'm here. Then he proceeded to tell me that next time I'm GOING to do the bmi scale (where you hold the bars and it reads your bmi) ... He said "you WILL do that next time so we can get a better read on (waves hand towards me) this ... I was pissed. You don't have to shame someone when they're asking for help ... this entire interaction took under 5 minutes - it was so fast I didn't even have time to really process what happened. As he was leaving he said something about being recently divorced and how he keeps in shape .. at that point I wasn't even paying attention to him I was just thinking about his ex wife ... and how I was so happy she wasn't with him anymore - if he treats A PAYING STRANGER that way I can only imagine how he is as a husband. The next girl that came in after him was asking about my next appointment- when I asked her "what's the issue with that dr?"She said "he's just that way,". then she deep signed and said "what did he say to you" in an exhausted tone like she's heard it before. I go to Trim Body for my testosterone replacement therapy. They do my lab work every four months to monitor my blood. My care provider, Jessica, noticed my blood sugars were in the type 2 diabetic range. She alerted me and I was able to notify my health care provider. So as an LVAC member, they offer free B12 shots and an exam/consultation for their array of weight-loss/anti-aging products and regimens. The two stars are for the facility and the customer service. Everyone was well-rehearsed on their sales pitch and information on their products although I would really like to see exactly what is in their "super shots", such as a COA or something- but I'll get to that in a minute. Because the reviews that are actually warning people of what this place is really about (your money) and how it really operates (sales pitch, bait and switch, etc) are on the further back pages I decided to leave a piece of my experience and opinion in here for those that are actually wanting to educate themselves first before handing these people a penny for something they can easily give themselves for free. When you go in, their office smells really nice and had ongoing testimonial ads for their anti-aging regimes on flat screen TV's and courteous receptionists suited up in scrubs like any other professional medical facility. Unfortunately, although I was told to come in with paperwork prepared (which I did, always the model patient) and scheduled it same-day for 4:30 pm. on a Wednesday- it still took quite a while for me to get taken into their exam room where they take down your height and scan your body on scale to measure water, BMI, body fat percentage, and resting metabolism. They print out everything to where it looks pretty cool and also puts your insecurities into black and white numbers format. As you stare at this printout of your flaws for the 45 minutes it takes for the diet coach to come in and explain some of it (he actually only took my printout to write down what he wanted to sell me on, and he should probably learn how to spell Protein if he's going to hustle it) to you, the desperation to "fix" yourself builds and builds. This allows whatever they offer or suggest to seem really awesome and sparkly all of a sudden. Mind you, I am 24 and of an average, healthy weight even if slightly over for my height. So he was pretty curt in letting me know right away he could have me lose 20-30 pounds in 3 months with the weekly supershots and "diet" for $104, and if that isn't fast enough, then add these diet pills (Topamax and Fentamine (sp?) to the mix for almost a hundred bucks more (200 bucks more if you do not have a student ID apparently) and it would be 2 months. All I could think of in my mind was the Ellen Burstyn character in Requiem for a Dream, where she's completely overtaken by this obsessive goal to lose weight and ruins her life with diet pills. While that is semi-dramatic, I will say that what the diet coach was describing was no different than the effects of meth. I won't knock them like they don't work, I'm sure they do, but for a 24-year-old with no kids or health issues (He had asked about my thyroid. Really?), it's just... Unnecessary. Like a lot of what they sell. And seeing people before me who have spent up to $1200 for meals and HcG, it's just really sad. I'm sure the people who have left 5 stars and have lost X amount of pounds with Trimbody MD feel really satisfied, but they were left out on the same secret that this diet coach left out for me as well: You can pretty much do all of this and more on your own without any of this crap, if you really stick to it and do your research. So I did my research and I'm very happy to not have been duped by these people. When he gave me the "options" of doing the supershots groupon or the supershots/pills, there was a moment where he just froze and looked at me like he was just so impatiently waiting for my wallet. There was no, "Maybe you want to think about it, because you're really young and not unhealthy enough to really need to enhance what you're already doing". Because mind you again, I have already started eating more low-fat, veg/fruit, no fastfood/alcohol/sugary indulgences- which, by the way, you can go to any grocery store and figure it out on your own without handing these people a dime. The diet consult part of the groupon is just the Paleo diet, which I haven't cosigned to any named diet so I cannot say it wouldn't have been successful, but it sounds like they don't often consult you after you hand over your credit card. You can also look up this diet or any other information online... for free! Again, I'm glad people have had success with this company but it's more than likely a placebo effect when they would have gotten the same results with regular activity, lower fat/sugary foods, and supplements that are much cheaper in a regular, labeled form- whether it's in a powder or a capsule, there are much more verifiable and safer options that won't break your bank out there. I bought a deal through LIving Social for 4 weeks of the super shots. I have not yet completed my 4 weeks, so I can't report much about weight loss or anything. So this will mostly be about the appointment process, check-in and the initial consultation. It was relatively easy to make an appointment. I called on a Monday afternoon and made an appointment for the next day. Unfortunately, the person I spoke to made an error and someone had to call me back to get all of my information again. (Not a big deal) So, I stopped in on my way to work. I did have some problems finding the location, because Google Maps sucks! Anyhow, I arrived about 20 minutes early so that I could fill out all of the paperwork (the usual stuff, medical history, etc). Once I finished, I was called back to a screening room with a fancy scale in it. The girl asked me a few questions and then asked me to get on the scale (never fun, haha). It is really high tech and can apparently tell how much water you drink and at what rate your metabolims burns. After this was all done, I was then taken to an exam room, where I seemed to wait for quite awhile. The "Diet Coach," an older Gentleman came in (I don't remember his name) to go over the "results" of what the scale said. I basically think everything he said was total BS, but his job was apparently to upsell me on the hCG program, which is a whopping $700 for 23 days and $1000 for 40 days. I politely declined and advised that I couldn't afford that, and that I would just try the super shots for now. He was obviously dissapointed and almost rude, and gave me his business card just in case I changed my mind. He also mentioned that he would set up a payment plan if I wanted (just what I need, lol). He then left the room and told me that the Doctor would be in to ask me some questions and to approve me for the shots. A few minutes later, the Doctor entered (I assume she was a Doctor). We went over my medical history and she counseled me that I need to speak to my primary Doctor about changing one of my prescriptions because she didn't think it was good to be on it for so long. Um, excuse me? You don't know anything about my history and I am sure my PRIMARY Physician has a better understanding of what is best to treat my GERD. After that, she approved the shots and I was good to go. I waited a few more minutes and then one of the assistants re-entered with the shots, which are comprised of B12, Vitamin D and something called ALA. Unfortunately, I was informed that they were out of the ALA and that I could either come in later in the week or have that shot at the end of my 4 weeks (I've chosen the latter). The shots themself go in your backside and weren't painful at all. I can't say that I've noticed a considerable difference in my overall energy level, but I am only 2 weeks in. I dont know that I would recommend this for everyone. I am only trying it because the Living Social deal was pretty cheap. I feel like the hCG is a hoax, because we all know that there is no "magic pill" for weight loss. read more

The question you have to ask yourself is are you serious, really serious, about changing your life and losing the weight. Don't waste your time and money if you are not. If you are serious, this place can help. If you are going to buy the groupon or living social voucher for super shots, that is a start, but it's not going to change your body without additional diet change and exercise. The super shots alone are not enough. They have a variety of diet options available that come with access to a diet couch. BUT you have to do the hard work. You need to follow the diet provided to you. The accountability to the diet couch will make you eat right because you do not want to have the conversation what happened! I had lost 10 pounds already when I showed up to TrimBody MD at the end of January, 2013. I have learned so much about my body and food. I have completely changed what I put in my body. I now know what are the calorie counts of food I eat. Currently, I am down 58 pounds from January 1. Part of my time with TrimBody MD's assistance, part of the knowledge that I obtained and the work I did on my own. I plan to continue utilizing the knowledge that I gained while on their diet plan. Bread is truly my Kryptonite, but I feel more confident that I know what my body can and cannot handle based on my experience with TrimBody MD. read more

I have been using the different services from TrimBody MD now for about 3 months, and I am very happy with everything. My boyfriend and I both did the HCG diet program with the meal delivery service. It was difficult at times, but when you follow the guidelines, it absolutely 100% works. He lost about 20 lbs and I lost about 10 lbs (which was my goal weight!). My lean muscle mass to body fat ratio is so much higher as well, lost a lot of fat and gained a lot of muscle. We have both been able to keep pretty much all of the weight off that we lost, which I was very afraid would happen from hearing other people's experiences with HCG diets. I have every intention of doing another round of HCG in the next few months as well to really increase my muscle mass and get rid of as much fat as possible.
