If I can give this place a zero, I would. Silverbay was already terrible so to punish renters even further, Tricon took over. I put in a maintenance request and told the lady to set my appointment for 4pm since that would be the time I get home from work. She confirmed she would do that and the maintenance man would call me before he arrived at my house. Why did the maintenance man come to my house around 2:50pm?? With NO CALL. Tricon stated they were going to charge me a "no show" fee since I wasn't home even though I TOLD them I don't get off work until 4. The ONLY reason I didn't get charged a fee is because the maintenance man didn't wait 15mins before he left my house. So eff the fact he showed up when he wasn't suppose to and I told this piss poor company I wouldn't be home...I didn't get charged because of him not waiting long enough for me before he left. Which lets me know maintenance people can show up whenever they want even though you set a time. I pray I find another home so I can get away from this company. read more

I have lived in a Tricon/Silvernay home for 5 years. The management has resolved every issue. I love their homes.

I moved in 9 weeks ago, I called Tricon to fix my heat called Tricon maintenance immediately as we were freezing and was assured it would be placed as an emergency and be fixed right away..I heard nothing and called then 4 days later..They said they got their signals mixed & would send someone to fix it. Approximately a week later, a repairman came and stated the air conditioner was wired to the heater and he repaired it. Immediately, we realized it was not fixed and heat wasn't coming out of vents in the upstairs. I called back in and after another two weeks of me calling in, Tricon sent someone else out who stated the vents had return grates on them rather than heat grates so NO HEAT can come out. He stated that he would get Tricon approval & order the correct ones and return to fix..that was 5 weeks ago, So after moving in 9 weeks ago, I have made 51 phone calls..I have spoken to JANET, LATOISHA , BRANDON, CHRISTIAN AND several others from residential and maintenance departments trying to get this fixed to NO AVAIL... I called again today to be told the same thing. that they were told there's furniture in front of wents?? really Tricon?? Apparently, I need not pay rent this month and maybe Tricon will listen and ACTUALLY SEND SOMEONE HERE TO REPAIR MY HEAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 9 WEEKS..MY CHILDREN CANNOT SLEEP UPSTAURS BECAUSE IT IS TOO COLD!!!!!!!!!! Did you read the notes? did you take notes when I called? Do you guys follow up ever? Do you listen to your customers when they call? Two technicians and in excess of 51 calls later..I'm spending my time EVERY day calling Tricon so that my children can sleep in their bedrooms and not freeze, I'm disabled and I am having to fight for you guys to fix the vents and the bathtub! I will reach out to the housing department to assist the disabled in cases such as mine as Tricon doesn't care and while I appreciate your time LaTasha, there aren't enough emergency meetings, phone calls & conferences that you & the entire tricon team states they are on or in to excuse yourselves from doing what is right.. Lisa Stanley Dallas, Ga Lived here 60 days and still NO HEAT UPSTAIRS AND NO WORKING BATHTUB..CANNOT USE THE UPSTAIRS SINCE WE MOVED IN!! read more

This company is beyond shady! We lived in our home for 6 years, never late, no issues and planned to stay there until we bought a home. So it's time to renew the lease, they provide us our lease options. We go online to choose the one we want and for some reason it's no longer available, later that day we get a knock on the door, it's the mailman. Certified letter from the company to vacate the property because they've sold it! Then comes the game of he said she and of course you can never get anyone to call you back. They caused or family morning but unnecessary stress and drama and made empty promise after empty promise during our move out process! We will never tent from them again! Stay away from these people! read more

DO NOT RENT FROM THEM! They are a complete scam!!!!! I would give no stars if I could. We paid a deposit of $1175, and to my surprise after we moved out they still charged us an additional $510.50. I attached a photo of the breakdown of everything they charged. Mind you everything they charged for, were things that should be done after a tenant moves out like, cleaning the carpet and painting the walls. Also keep in mind my family and I kept that place in great condition and cleaned the house spic and span before we moved out but.....surprise!!!! They will still stick you with a bill after your move out. It's all a scam, they offer you $500 off your first month bill if you move in within a certain time but then guess what they stick it to you at the end, to get that back from you. Trust me stay far away from this company as you can, don't make the same mistake my family and I did by renting with these crooks YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!! Update- Tricon reached out to me to me via yelp (as you can see) to "resolve the problem", I emailed them as they requested and still have yet to hear back from them. It just goes to show that there "great customer service" is ALL just a front!! read more

Tricon - Real Estate Services Near Me

I am currently a resident with this company, and I AM PISSED!!!!! When I was to move in; my move-in date was pushed back almost a month for "home improvements" as I was told. Ever since I moved in here, I have had a maintenance request almost every month. Fast forward to today. I have been having some Heating and Air issues with my unit from the start. The unit in the attic flooded and my ceiling caved in; the Unit in the back of the house wasn't even working. My power bill has been almost $600 recently. I found out from my last HVAC request person that came to the house (my home was not heating) the guy told me that the unit was just running and was broken. Well, hoping I could get help from Tricon with this since it was their home/unit and fault my bill is so high. Working with a maintenance person (supervisor) ONLY to find out that after sending her my bills (I HAD TO PAY TO KEEP POWER ON). Mind you I pay my rent ONTIME or early! Now I get an email that says she is only asking for $165 ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!! This is a shame and unacceptable. I try to call to speak with a manager but "No one is available" of course not smh!! Guess what my unit still is not working right. This is crazy to me; I've stayed in worse, but they cared and helped when they saw there was a problem. I'm going to pray on this and start applying for a home. read more

I've been renting from this company for 6 months now. I placed a work order 21 days ago, which magically got deleted, for my air conditioner to be fixed. It has been 90 degrees inside the house for 3 weeks now. No one returns calls or emails. I have called numerous times since I first placed the work order yet no one has offered to help me or offer any sort of compensation. My daughter has not been able to be at our house because it is so hot that it is dangerous to live in. I feel like I haven't slept in 3 weeks and my body is physically sore from this. Way to go tricon american homes, I'm sure you'll find another way to screw me over soon. read more

They just bought out my previous property management co, there were some problems with the transition, but they made them right and things are working fine now. They contacted me several times to ensure that everything wrong was fixed and I'm pleased with their customer service and ability to act quickly to resolve any problems. read more

I was a bit skeptical at first about renting from Tricon Homes but I am glad I did so far. In the beginning I applied without viewing the property due to needing to get approved some where by a certain date and the property wasn't vacate yet. However I had drove by and noticed a few flaws with a swamp of bees coming in an out of a corner of the roof and it looked as if the property was vacant. I was receiving only emails from people after getting approved requesting that the next step was to complete a lease agreement and then pay a deposit. I didn't feel comfortable with paying a deposit being as though I hadn't seen the property. The next email requested again a deposit to be paid. My husband and I were not okay with this and so we went to their office and was greeted by Yolanda in the Phoenix office who informed us she was one of the people who emailed us and once we explained our concerns she assured us they would work with us until we viewed the property and she guaranteed that they had a team that will go in and make sure everything is ready and the bees would be addressed as well. She continued to follow up with us on when we could view the property sent us additional photos and looked into how long the previous tenants had been there. She made sure we were updated every step of the way until we moved in. All I know is communication goes a long way and this is an example of how all it takes is one person to change a whole experience. I have been living at the property for over 2 months and we have noticed some things that needed to be addressed once moving in and their maintenance supervisor has worked with us to get all things addressed as quickly as possible so thing do require approval which is understandable but I am very satisfied so far with the experience. I want to thank Yolanda again for making this transition a lot less stressful. read more

Was looking at a house to rent that was managed by this company. They wouldn't allow me to view the property before I had to make a non refundable deposit. The staff members would ignore my questions just to remind me to pay the deposit, I was treated with no respect and would advise others to stay away. read more
