Salads and carpresse skewers ( part of grazing table)

I went to a baby shower in 2024 and the Tricky Foods spread was something I had never seen! So when I hosted a baby shower this April, I knew I had to use them! From the initial communication to the day before the event. Amy was amazing! She reassured me that everything would be perfect. Their staff who showed up to set up and also to come back and remove their trays and " props " where beyond professional and kind and super efficient! They provide the trays, stands, decor and food! We did the Grazing Table which minimum is $1,300 ( total with delivery/ setup around $1,500) and then you build from there. We only had 15 people so the minimum was perfect and people were able to bring food home, TF even provided the take home boxes! The o lu thing I changed were the plates because with this beautiful spread, paper plates were not what I wanted. I use a harder type of pretty plastic plates that people think are real, but they are not. Honestly, if you are doing any type of event I would definitely let Tricky Foods take care of the food and decor for the table area or wherever you want the spread to be. I sent them pictures of our kitchen so they would have an idea. It was perfect! Also you can go to their website and just order a platter to pick up if you are having a few people over. We will be using them again! No doubt! Charcuterie at its finest and pretty!!! Check out their website! TrickyFoods.com

The other day I went to Tricky Foods for an event and was amazed by the charcuterie cup! I have celiac so I was worried about my options, however the staff were so kind and friendly - offering me gluten free crackers with no up-charge. I loved the variety of foods in this cup and it was reasonably priced for the quantity of foods. Everything tasted so fresh and I would love to try more options from here! The shop is so cute in general, with lots of lighting and aesthetically pleasing decor. The colors, signs and greenery all complement each other very well. I will definitely be back!

I'm writing a review based on my experience hosting a Bridal Shower for a coworker here. I've always loved Therese and her business. I've followed her journey since she was just starting out, and it's been rewarding to see her vision as she's grown. Her charcuterie is delicious and I appreciate she partners with local businesses for some of her ingredients. We hosted a shower on a Friday afternoon and it was the perfect space. They let us decorate and were accommodating about space set up, ensuring we had enough chairs for our party. We were checked on throughout our shower to ensure we didn't need to purchase refills, but they were gracious to give us space to enjoy our games and charcuterie. The space is decorated beautifully with a little hidden cove with colorful furniture and a modern feel. But the piece de resistance is the bathrooms (I know, right?). I didn't happen to snag a picture, but they are beautifully decorated with murals by local artist Allana Randal of 10x10 collective. They are a must see! Both are beautiful and different, so I guess you need to stay awhile and find a reason to go twice. Maybe another glass of wine?

Had a nice evening at Tricky Foods new location. We attended a collab cookie decorating class, and prior to the class shared a board and a bottle of wine with friends. The staff was friendly and helpful. They kept our bottle of wine behind the counter so we had more room on the table but refilled us when needed. Nice selection of wines and beer like Untitled Art local options. The board was the perfect dinner for us! The restrooms are decorated colorfully and fun. I will be back to order and hang.

I hosted my SIL's baby shower at Tricky Foods and it was the perfect venue. They allowed us to arrive 2 hours early to set up and went above and beyond helping us rearrange some furniture. The grazing table was beautiful and filling as expected. We had a ton of leftovers to take home, which was packaged thoughtfully. Stephanie even created ice cubes that matched our flower theme. The food, beverage options, and space were all a great hit with everyone! I especially love all the natural lighting for photos.

Well, I'm back with my second review! That's right! I was so impressed with Therese that I entrusted her to plan my birthday this year! Now, many of you are probably thinking so what! Big deal! Yes, it was a big deal! See, my birthday was the infamous March 11th! Yes, THE March 11th -- Pandemic Day USA! I spent the whole day listening to radio shows asking, "Where were you March 11, 2020 when the announcement was made"? Well, let me share, Me and 10 of my good friends were celebrating my birthday and a successful move into a brand new luxury apartment as we watched the cruise ships being docked and listened to newscasters explaining what a pandemic involved. It was a cold snowy night and I'll never forget the look on my friends' faces! This year, I was determined to do something unique and memorable to erase the association of pandemic and my birthday! I asked Therese, after a Yelp event, if she'd help me plan a Hen House party for some of the most inspirational females in my life from 2020 -- friends and family who have inspired and helped me survive the pandemic! Again, you're thinking so what! Well, I didn't explain the technology challenges that could occur with the bunch of predominantly senior citizens and I knew we were going virtual. Hey, I didn't want her to run screaming into the hills of Wisconsin! From beginning to end (last night), Therese was phenomenal! She absolutely pulled this all together and helped all of us feel comfortable, welcome, and artistic. I've been getting calls all day from my friends explaining how they never would have tried anything like this. They all stressed that Therese's passion, expertise, and patience made all the difference. For me, it was her experience and sense of organization. All I had to do was pay and pick up! That was amazing. I'm in Mequon and she's in Madison and this could not have been easier. All the food was great; the kits were beautiful; she was accommodating of my Kosher friend; she was calm when my sister's couldn't log on; she was patient when people got lost in the tutorial; it was just fabulous! I could not have been happier with my virtual party! If you are looking for a unique experience that your friends will talk about long after it's over, you have to get Therese to do Charcuterie party for you! It is a truly amazing experience and you'll have a ball! I know my Hen-house will be clucking about this event (and not last year's drama) for a long time. Now, that's the impression I wanted to leave! Thanks Therese! You are definitely the Head Hen in the House!!!

Cookie decorating class @ Tricky Foods in Madison WI

I've had Tricky foods three times now and have been impressed every time! High quality food and beautiful presentation. I've done a cookie decorating class at their store front, and had enjoyed their spread at a church event and a wedding. Picture perfect display every time! Staff has always been helpful and kind. Very impressive

Sampler for two. - A large round wooden charcuterie board displays an assortment of cheeses, cured meats, green grapes, pickles, crackers, and a small container of honey. The items are arranged in sections, with grapes on one side and meats and cheeses in the center. The board is placed on a dark outdoor table, with water glasses and napkins visible in the background.

Delicious charcuterie boards with great ambiance. Excellent service and funky bathrooms.Must try in Madison!

One of the hot coca bombs and peppermint spoons - The image shows a table with a lit candle in a white holder, a bouquet of mixed flowers in a clear glass vase, and a mug of hot chocolate with a decorative design inside. A cookie with colorful sprinkles and a small candy are placed on a napkin. There is a caption indicating the hot cocoa bomb is from Tricky Foods, along with graphic icons of presents and a candy cane.

After the party I had yesterday posting my update - the board was, of course, a hit! We got "The Party" and I love not having to worry about making extra snacks while I run around getting ready! I'm certain I'll be ordering more in the future.

Fine, I'll share board ($60, fed 4 people)

Delicious boards and wine with a new storefront! On a Friday night, all tables were full with groups of girlfriends or couples on date night. Highly recommend Tricky Foods to go and dine in. I plan to use for my next event!

Such a great date night/girls night/long time best friend meet up idea! This particular workshop took place at Drumlin Winery, perfect pairing while snacking on the leftovers from the board. This was a super easy class that anyone would be able to complete and enjoy! Step by step instruction, includes a print out so you can make your own in the future with your new charcuterie skills. Must try for anyone in Madison who loves foodie events!!!

Such an amazing experience working with Therese and Tricky Foods! Very happy with the grazing table for my bridal shower. Everyone was floored by the level of detail and creativity put into all the elements of the table. Therese is so sweet, and I'd highly recommend having a Tricky Foods grazing table at any special event :)

    Yummy charcuterie plate!
    Allie I.

Tricky foods is simply the best!! Therese is also the nicest human!! The ingredients are always so fresh and tasty. Worth every penny to get yourself or treat someone to a board! I also love that they will accommodate allergies! Highly recommend using them! Also love that they're a small women owned biz !

Ta Da! The I Luv U box. - A square gift box made of plain brown cardboard features a clear plastic window with a decorative scalloped edge, revealing assorted colorful chocolates inside. The box is secured with a natural twine bow on top, and a greeting card with the words "Thank You" and decorative illustrations is placed on the box, partially covering the window. The box is set on a wooden surface.

We ordered some food, including the beautiful and delicious charcuterie board and a couple flatbreads. I really like that there's a decent food menu including everything from $2 snacks to fuller meal options and desserts. Then we were onto our beverage choices. A couple of my friends opted for whiskey flights that they had been looking forward to sipping. And then a couple of us did the wine option. I didn't understand how it worked at first but it is very simple -- you get a little card to swipe at the wine machines and then you can choose whichever wine you want. You can opt for a small tasting pour or more of a traditional pour. At the end of the night you return your wine card and pay for whatever you had. I have heard of this type of wine bar before but hadn't tried it yet. It's brilliant! Everyone enjoyed their drinks and it was fun to try some new wines and whiskeys. I would definitely come back to enjoy the tots and some different wines next time!

Yes, the wine is obviously good too with a selection for all preferences. I've been here a few times now, and it has quickly become one of my favorites. I cannot get over how good their food is! I've now tried every single flatbread on their menu, and they're all outstanding! Even their steak gorgonzola flatbread is incredible and I don't like steak! They also have the best spinach artichoke dip I've ever tasted, and they're served with these delightful warm pieces of pita bread... I'm pretty sure this stuff came right out of an oven. On my most recent visit, I actually ended up getting an Old Fashioned and my dining mate got a cosmo. Both were absolutely fantastic. The bartender even came over and said the last bit of the cosmo he made tasted like it was heavy on the lime and he offered to re-make it... I'd call that service to the hilt! There was no need to re-make the cosmo, however, as we both found it to be delicious. The bar also has some really great high end liquors and craft beer options. They also have NA options. So, while it is a fun wine bar where you get to self-service pour your own wine, don't let the name fool you -- this place has something for everyone. I've also come here with a friend who has a gluten allergy and they have gluten free bread for their delicious flatbreads. Overall this place is great for an intimate night out or a night out with the girls. They have plenty of seating and an upstairs area with games and such as well. There's an outdoor patio as well for when the weather cooperates. I cannot recommend this place enough!

You also can't beat the price of $2.25 for a good cookie. My only other complaint would be the limited seating. The workers here also try to provide table service and bring your sandwich out to you if you do dine-in. However, there isn't a system for them to find you at the table easily and they are just wandering around looking for you by name. Having a little table # placard would benefit the staff here.
