Mimosa Flight
Anthony V.

The family was there for Easter Brunch. The place was packed and a bit noisy, but calmed down as the crowd worked thru. I love the rustic warehouse look of this old building. Pictures of the building's history are found throughout the restaurant. It is just so cozy. A great place to just hang out at the bar and watch a game or casually sit and have dinner. The B&H Sampler is a nice medley of various apps: cheese curds, firecracker shrimp, and bacon wrapped dates. My fav is the shrimp....give me that all day. Just the right spicy coating with a delicate crunch. The Southwest Benedict had the subtle flavors of the Southwest. The chipotle hollandaise was only mildly spicy. The poached eggs were perfectly complemented by the creamy avocados and the buttery toasted crunch from the croissants. A filling breakfast. My wife was enjoying the strawberry crepes. Light and sweet mascarpone filling with orange grand marnier sauce completes this perfect spring brunch dish. Rounding out the whole Easter brunch experience was the Mimosa Flight. This was our first brunch at B&H, but it is now the first of many.

Cute place right in downtown Mt Horeb. We went to the cave of the mounds and stopped here on our way back. They had a nice menu with lots to choose from. The hot chicken had a kick and the kids meals were huge. My boys each got the kids ribs and they were pretty tasty. Service was good too.

The restaurant is very nice on the inside and we were seated quickly. The server was friendly, attentive, and quick to answer any questions we had. The food came out quickly and looked appealing. The meatloaf was dry and the onion strings didn't really add anything to the dish. However, the sides (mashed potatoes and fries) were both good. Overall 3.5 stars (rounding up to 4)

What a lovely restaurant addition to Mount Horeb! They did a fabulous refurb on an old farm supply store just off the main street. Love all the natural brick and huge old pictures of the old building. On Saturdays and Sunday, they offer a special brunch menu, so we ordered a Dutch Baby and a Lobster Roll. We both thought the food was great! Service was excellent. The environment was excellent. Love this place!

Stopped by this place coming from Blue Mounds and from downtown Mt. Horeb. What a cute little place to stop and get food. Came on a Friday after lunch hour so there wasn't many people. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. A few people from our party order the special of fish fry which it came with hash browns, coleslaw and a piece of bread. I ended up ordering the fish tacos. They were very delicious but sadly the fish wasn't fried. Didn't know it was grilled till I saw it. Which I also didn't fully read the description which is my fault. But overall it was still very delicious. Another person from our party ordered the chicken wrap.

The fruit flies and other bugs were really unbearable. We sat at a high top by the bar. The food selection was good and food tasted fine.

Food was good but the noise level inside was very loud. We are looking forward to warm weather to try the patio.

We had been looking for a local farm-to-table experience when we found Campo di Bella. Our first…read morevisit was a Saturday evening which consisted of a five course meal. Everything about the evening was exceptional. The first course was bruschetta, followed by a refreshing fresh salad with lemon dressing. The main course was flank steak, cooked perfectly. This was followed by a cheese board with delectable cheese samples from local dairies. For dessert, they had an absolutely amazing home made vanilla ice cream. It was rich, creamy, and very tasty. We enjoyed it so much, that we immediately reserved a second dinner which had cider braised pork shoulder as the entree. Again, the meal was exceptional. It started with prosciutto wrapped cantaloupe. I've never had prosciutto sliced so thinly, it was tender and flavorful. This was followed by a butternut squash soup that was thick and rich. I didn't know butternut squash could be so flavorful. I cleaned my bowl so thoroughly that the host jokingly asked if they forgot to serve me. The pork was next. Served with honey crisp apples. It was tender and perfectly juicy. Again, a cheese board was served before dessert. All very tasty local cheeses. For dessert, a French apple tart. I could have eaten a whole tray, it was so good. I've now been there over 20 times. Every time has been exceptional. They offer a variety of wines, ciders, and local beer to go with your meal. They also make their own vermouth which is sweet, with a hint of clove. It's so good, in fact, that we like it on the rocks. Not mixed. The host, Mary Ann, is wonderful. She takes time before each course to provide background on the home grown or locally sourced ingredients. She also gives a history of the farm and her family and, if the season permits, offers a tour of their farm. Marc (Mary Ann's Husband) is the chef. He is a culinary wizard. As I mentioned, I've been back over 20 times, which equates to almost 80 different dishes. All of them amazing! My only criticism (it's a minor one) is that the room is small and cozy and it can get a bit loud inside. It depends on the crowd, but it can be a bit hard to carry a conversation. In summary: exceptional food and exceptional people. I could not recommend it more. Update (12/13/24): We've been coming back to Campo di Bella for the last 5 years. At least 60 times or more and we've never been disappointed. Marc and Mary Ann are incredible hosts that continue to create amazing meals and experiences.

The texture of the gnocchi was so very pleasing - little pillows of goodness. The main course of polenta, mushrooms and house-made italian sausage with polenta was hearty and wonderful. As always, the cheese course was very tasty with several lical cheeses I had never before tried. (I look forward to having them again at home . Dessert was divine! I am not usually a fan of chocolate, but this was delicious! At this restaurant, they use local ingredients as much as they can, too. Give Campo a try if you haven't already. You are in for a real treat!

The space feels cozy, and it was easy to settle in and enjoy the night. My friend and I loved checking out the different drink options, and the wine machines seem simple to use. The prices were a little high for me but I don't mind splurging occasionally. The whole place feels like a spot you could come to for a casual night out or something a little more special. I'd definitely come back to try some wines and explore the menu again.

We ordered some food, including the beautiful and delicious charcuterie board and a couple flatbreads. I really like that there's a decent food menu including everything from $2 snacks to fuller meal options and desserts. Then we were onto our beverage choices. A couple of my friends opted for whiskey flights that they had been looking forward to sipping. And then a couple of us did the wine option. I didn't understand how it worked at first but it is very simple -- you get a little card to swipe at the wine machines and then you can choose whichever wine you want. You can opt for a small tasting pour or more of a traditional pour. At the end of the night you return your wine card and pay for whatever you had. I have heard of this type of wine bar before but hadn't tried it yet. It's brilliant! Everyone enjoyed their drinks and it was fun to try some new wines and whiskeys. I would definitely come back to enjoy the tots and some different wines next time!
