Tribos was really good. If you've ever tried nandos, this place is very similar. Down to the toothpick with the temperature on it and the sides. Would definitely come back. My singular downside was that the only cheese option was American. At other Peri Peri places, they also have options like halloumi, and that was the only thing I really felt like I was missing here. Never doubt the love of halloumi. The service was great, and everything was clean, although there seem to be way more takeout orders, than people eating in.

I wanted to try this place since its relatively new, right off Thayer street and because I think I had something similar in the past. It was late on a weekday so it was just me and my friend there. I went with the chicken bowl (mild spice level) and a side of corn on the cob so I can get a little taste of everything. We sat down right in front of the TV and watched Bob Ross paint spectacular canvases throughout our entire meal. I thoroughly enjoyed that they had this passive channel on; it was relaxing. The meal itself was good and tasty, but it wasn't too impressive. It was healthy, especially for a late night meal. The bowl included a few chunks of grilled chicken, with a mild sauce drizzled on top. I probably could have went with the next level of spice and been fine but mild was comfortable. The rice was probably my favorite part. I think it had anise and some other aromatic spices. The salad was simple, with lettuce, tomatoes, corn, and onion but really gave the plate a fresh component. The corn was good but it was not anything special, especially for $4. I think it was just grilled with butter.

The restaurant has a good amount of tables and the decor is nice. We have been to this restaurant at least two or three times. We had lunch here because it's a halal restaurant and a quick bite. However it wasn't up to our expectations specially since we have had different Peri Peri experiences across the US & Canada. Personally the taste was bland we had to use a lot of their sauces to give it more flavour. The portion and price on the other hand were very decent.

Ordered the full chicken with two sides platter. TLDR: Went when they opened a year+ ago, terrible. Owner recently reached out, tried again, and I might be a regular now. Long review: The food is so, so wonderful. The chicken is juicy, seasoned perfectly, portions are reasonable. Fries? Best I've had. I will literally go here just for the fries. Corn was standard. Water isn't free, they use bottled. Maybe I need to ask explicitly for glass water? Why not 5 stars? First visit, portions were bland chicken nuggets. Gyros were tiny and expensive. Recent reviews also state small portions, was this a one off?

Tribos Crispy Peri Peri Chicken Wrap

Child says fries are really good, crispy chicken wrap was average. Did not give us the sauces they said they would which had the potential to make the wrap better.

I opened up DoorDash, ready to comb thru the horrible fast food options & pick the least offensive. When I saw Naz's as a late-night option, I was so siked. So I went for it. My first experience with Naz's was at midnight in my own home. When it arrived & I opened up the bag to see my platter, I literally gasped. GASPED! I couldn't believe something so delicious looking appeared on my doorstep at such a late hour. It also tasted just as good as it looked. So now I'm hooked. We started with the lamb kavap and shared the ginormous chicken stew, and finished off with the honey cake. Every this was so flavorful. The lamb is served on skewers with 23 different spices. Definitely tasted cumin, paprika, peppercorns, garlic, and so many other spices! The chicken stew was so delicious. Be warned that it's big and spicy! Definitely a kick of peppercorns. I believe it's a full smashed whole chicken so each bite has bits of bones. But the chicken is stewed in a rich, spicy broth. The stew has hand made noodles, potatoes, and peppers. We finished off with honey cake which helped cooled down the spices we just ate. Lovely slice of cake with a scoop of coffee ice cream. This place gets busy but they have a digital waitlist. We checked in with the host on the first floor, but she escorted us to the second floor to be seated. I always liked that this restaurant seems to be a small house converted into a restaurant since it literally makes me feel at [someone's] home. We were given QR codes to scan for the menu; not my favorite. I overheard another table ask for paper menus, so it appears there is that option. For a starter, we ordered handmade lamb dumplings and for entrees, original meefen and lamb on dry land with a side of white rice. It all ended up coming out around the same time and the tables are a little small so it felt like an overwhelming amount of food, but it was actually the perfect amount for two people. The lamb dumplings were flavorful, albeit, the wrappers were a tad too soft. The original meefen was very tasty, especially the minced meat. However, the uden noodles don't do a great job of absorbing sauces, so it felt like a lot of the oils and flavor were left behind. The lamb on dry land was good, but it was difficult to eat especially two people. We didn't realize it would be meat on a stick, similar to a turkey leg but less meaty. We ended up eating the easy parts, but took the bone home to finish out of the public eye. The crispy potatoes on top were my friend's favorite. The total was about $50 which was fair. Our waiter and other staff members did an excellent job of getting us all we needed and clearing plates as we finished. Their official website is one of the coolest I have seen since it includes audio and images, but I wish it had a description of what each item is, just like their in restaurant menu QR code.
