Leslie Kelly is a dream pediatrician. Attentive to our needs and loving on our little one. She is reasonable and not an alarmist which has eased my husband's tendency to overreact about small things (like our todder's mild eczema). We are sad to be leaving the practice as we are moving from NY to IN but wanted to make sure to leave a glowing review before we departed. Our L.O. is a preemie and did an 8 day NICU stay before we were able to take him in for his first Ped visit. From day one up until his 18 month visit (plus some as he's now 20 mo.) they have been nothing but friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating, thoughtful and easy. This Pediatric Office is Fraudulent. PLEASE CHECK YOUR INSURANCE STATEMENTS. If you were ever billed for a visit that you did not attend, REACH OUT TO ME VIA MESSAGES ON YELP. I used to attend Tribeca Pediatrics in Queens, NY and enjoyed my experience. I moved to JC (where everything is a scam) and booked an appointment for my toddler. We never attended the appointment as we extended a family vacation. I didn't pay much mind until I opened my UnitedHealthcare App to see my daughter's insurance was billed. When I reached out, they were adamant this was a mere billing issue. I actually obtained the visitation notes, where DR GAO falsified notes of my daughter's wellbeing, dentistry, school attendance and follow up notes for the next visit. I NEVER STEPPED FOOT INTO THIS PLACE. After, I contacted my lawyer who said this was a criminal issue and advised on several follow ups. DR GAO is now under investigation by the NJ state medical board for insurance fraud. Not only that, it's very clear this entire office is a part of this scam and it is not their first one. If you see their Google reviews, it's filled with notes about billing issues. Their Office scheduling director reached out with a sad email apology, never responded to me and queries after and said again, its a billing error. Sorry, if you falsify medical records of kids, it is actually JAIL for you. No one else even contacted me to apologize. The doctor has had ZERO contact with me after she did this to my child. Remember these notes follow your children to school, can support diagnosis's and more. The fact they are scamming children... in a medical practice... is so alarming. You guys are gross and her response to the NJ board is that this was an admin error since they were so busy. Wow, you're willing to mix up files and make false notes because it's busy? Tribeca pediatrics was a mixed experience. Let's start with the good: Its office in Hamilton Park is clean and the receptionists are nice. Usually the waits are relatively short, about 15-minutes with an appointment. There is a convenient online portal to make and change appointments. I haven't had any billing issues with them yet, but I only went for a few simple check-ups. Now for the not-so-goods: The examination rooms are all tiny pods. So, you feel like you are in cramped shared workspace. Parking can be a bit challenging in this area depending on the time you go. If your preferred doctor is unavailable, you have no clue in who you will get or be able to choose. This leads to my most important qualm; almost everytime I have visited Tribeca, I had to choose a different doctor. I believe this is due to how Tribeca rotates doctors among each of its locations or because its doctors don't stick around long. Since I wasn't able to get the same doctor for each visit, each doctor had to be briefed on my child's history - a huge inconvenience and drain on time. I only encountered one doctor that I would want to see again at Tribeca, and she was rarely available. So, I stopped going. Overall, Tribeca Pediatrics is a good office for the occasional checkup - the service is solid. But, if you prefer for your child to see the same doctor everytime, who is familiar with your child's condition, and you have built trust in, then you may want to look elsewhere. read more

It is convenient as they have many locations throughout NY and NJ. They have weekend hours at specific locations and callback service. There isn't much of a wait time. The offices are spacious with a kitchenette and books to occupy the little ones. The quality of service from location to location. Since my daughter's birth in 2012, We used Warren Street office, I had no complaint: clean office, high-quality care, staff nice and professional, Dr. Cohen was great, knew his patients and greatly cared for them. We moved to NJ in 2021, and we go to Hoboken since then. It's a nightmare, sometimes I even prefer to go back to Warren Street. Staff not welcoming, doesn't know customers or medical plans. I'm very unhappy with the providers and their way to approach care. But my worst experience, every single year, two to three times per year, it's to obtain a health certificate for school or camp. I have had multiple frustrating experiences with Tribeca Pediatrics regarding the rescheduling of my daughter's well-child visits. On two occasions, they changed the appointment dates without confirming with me and assigned her to different providers. When I called to inquire about these changes, I was gaslighted, as I was told that my daughter's appointment had never been rescheduled, implying that I must be mistaken (As though I don't know my child's PCP's name). This was not the case; as a working parent, I make accommodations in my schedule and plan far in advance. Although I did not take a screenshot of the first appointment (because I didn't think I had to), I did capture one for the second. When I finally reached a supervisor after the second incident, she claimed there was no record of the appointment being rescheduled either. However, when I mentioned having a screenshot of the original appointment, her response changed. She stated that even though I saw a different date and provider in the portal, my daughter was indeed going to see her primary care provider and that the new provider was just a "placeholder", a placeholder for what? Not sure. I understand that changes can occur and that doctors might fall ill or encounter emergencies. However, it is unacceptable for parents to be gaslighted by being told that their appointments haven't changed. Why not notify the parent of any rescheduling and coordinate a new appointment directly with them instead of lying to them? Clearly, the supervisors guidance to their telephone agents is to lie to patients, as they do the same as well. Very frustrating and insulting. Additionally, this morning at 8:30 AM, I reached out to the clinic to request a conversation with a doctor. While I appreciate the role of nurses, some questions can only be adequately addressed by a physician. Now, nearly eight hours later, at almost 4:30PM, I have yet to hear anything back. It is also concerning that I can never speak to a supervisor or express my concerns without it leading to further issues, they seem to gatekeep the supervisor, which just doesn't make sense- they refuse to provide a name or contact information. Today, after insisting, I was given the first name of a man and told that he was the only supervisor , then who is the woman I spoke to last month?! This is a pediatric office, this is not a retail store, you are providing healthcare, the gross lack of transparency is concerning. This clinic has been disappointing, and their treatment of parents is unacceptable. While a nurse is always available to answer questions, a simple yes/no decision-tree approach is not always suitable for addressing healthcare concerns. I strongly advise parents that have experienced similar situations to leave reviews so that they may improve their communication and approach to patient care, the 4.6 rating is dubious at best. read more

My son had an appointment this past Monday (April 22nd) at Tribeca Pediatrics in Jersey City, 9 McWilliams Place, with Bridie Hatch scheduled at 1:20PM. My son and I arrived for the appointment at 1:15PM. Upon providing my son's name, I was asked for my insurance card. I advised the attendant that I had already provided the card during prior visits and they should already have it on file. She then stated that they were having a system issue and needed a copy of the card to update. I provided her with the. card. She then advised me I would have to pay $100 out of pocket for the visit because my insurance would not cover the visit. I again told her both of my kids had been seen multiple times this year under the insurance and this was the first time I was hearing they were out of network. She proceeded to intentionally delay and had her manager, Naomi, on the phone and they both kept repeating to me that my insurance was not accepted. Several office assistants came from the back to bring my son back, and she intentionally told them to stall and not take my son back because of a billing and insurance issue. It was then 1:30PM and I was then told that all of the providers were out on their lunch break and he would not be able to be seen until 2PM. In the meantime, I got my insurance provider, Independence Blue Cross, on the phone to confirm to the other front desk attendant that my coverage was indeed in-network. She relayed this information to Naomi, who was still on the phone and they still proceeded to give me a hard time that there was a coverage issue and my insurance was not accepted. Naomi had told me to give her a call back when I had the insurance company rep on the phone and that is what I exactly did, Instead of trusting me as a patient or my insurance company representative who was on the phone, the harassment by the front desk continued. In fact, it was confirmed to me by my insurance company that Tribeca Pediatrics had not yet billed anything for the 4-5 prior visits my children had this year, which was also baffling as this is a clear error by your billing department. I had my credit card out and my insurance card out and told the front desk that I didn't really care at that point and just wanted my sick child to be seen. They kept repeating to me the medical staff was out to lunch from 1:30-2PM. After 2PM, two other mothers came in with their children and were taken to the back to be seen. I then was very upset as my son was getting impatient and asked how much longer we had to wait as it was now 2:20PM. The front desk lady who claimed to be the supervisor told me I had to pay $100 for the visit. I repeated that I have insurance and there is a copay, but there is no need for me to pay out of pocket for the full visit cost. She was very hostile and unprofessional, and I have a five minute recording of an exchange between us where she told me that I had to pay the $100 or would not be seen and also told me that I could take my son somewhere else to be seen. We were then taken to the back around 2:30PM, and the assistant had no clue who my son was and asked for his name three times. He then asked for the reason for the visit and after a few questions he advised that Dr. Rizvi would see him. I told him that our appointment was with Bridie and not Dr. Rizvi. He told me Bridie was not available and that Dr. Rizvi was the only one available. Dr. Rizvi saw my son and made some recommendations. After the visit, I stopped at the front desk, and they again told me I had to pay $100 for the visit. I told them to settle it with the insurance company and bill me. Around 3PM, I received a call from the Jersey City office phone number. A woman named Tashika called and apologized for the mixup as she stated that the insurance membership number that was submitted by the front desk to the billing department was incorrect as they transposed a zero with an O. I told her I was very disturbed by the front desk behavior and was considering moving my children's pediatric needs to a completely different practice. She apologized again and stated she hoped we would reconsider. Completely unprofessional staff, no business or medical ethics at all. read more

We used to have a very good experience. The providers are good. However the quality of the reception staff went down dramatically over the past month. For emergencies, wait of close to one hour. They pick up the phone and say they will transfer you but they forget. Doctors and nurses are great. The reception staff not so much. In fact they are very poor. We were referred by friend and it was close to where we live. But the average wait time while calling or while in the clinic was absurd long and they are not responsive. Today is our monthly check up, we waited 10min for getting into the room and 30 min for the doctor. We got the vaccines around 12:40 pm and baby's leg started to get red and swollen around 6:30 pm and kept crying. we called the office, for the emergency line. They said they will contact the hospital and got back to us within 20min . However we waited for 30 min and they didn't call back. My husband had to call them again, only got to hear that they advice us to give her Tylenol and ice pack. Anyhow I don't recommend this place at least. Think twice before you choose them. read more

We had a great experience here. Both of my kids have been going here, the oldest for 8 years and the second for almost 2. Leslie and Dr Varma are the best and I highly recommend them! The front desk and assistant staff are awesome as well. One issue which may not have to do with this location are the phone lines. Calling can be a bit of a nightmare and sometimes waiting for a Dr or nurse to call you back for an emergency (after hours) can take longer than an hour. The other issue are hours of operation for this location. I've often had to go to the Warren St office to get later appointments (I.e. when my husband or I get off of work). Outside of these two issues, I'm happy with Tribeca Pediatrics. read more

Wonderful, through and through. From the park-adjacent location to the practice's sleep training philosophy, TriBeCa Pediatrics remains something of a gold standard for our three children. Founded by Dr. Michel Cohen, the practice adheres to a relatively laissez-faire approach that helps maximize health, comfort and peace of mind when it comes to parents an children. His excellent book, titled "The New Basics," offers a wealth of information in an easy-to-read format and is one volume we still regularly refer to when it comes to our kids. Especially helpful is the section in certain entries that explains when to worry and when not to worry. The staff at the Jersey City location is kind, responsive and patient, things we appreciate in a pediatrician. The ice cream shop next door, the toy store next to that and the multiple playgrounds in the park across the street are icing on the cake. Keep up the great work! read more

The doctors and nurses here are great and really know what they are talking about. They are very helpful and nice, but the phone wait time is RIDICULOUS! I've waited on the phone for up to an hour and half and called at many different times of the day and the same thing! Pretty much the only way to contact them is to go In person. Also expect to be seen 30-45 minutes after your appointment is scheduled. read more

HORRIBLE experience. We decided on Tribecca because they had a good reputation. We called and checked, they said they took our insurance(A Blue Cross/Blue Shield plan) We went to the orientation 3 months before our due date. We filled out the forms, submitted a copy of our insurance. We called two weeks later to verify they took our insurance. They said yes. We scheduled our newborn physical, and then had to change as she was two weeks early. When we called to change we checked a third time to make sure they took our insurance, they said they did. Our daughter had borderline elevated Bilirubin, and the hospital neonatologist told us it was critical to have it checked within 24 hours of leaving the hospital. So we show up to our appointment at Tribecca and we are told SURPRISE! They don't take our insurance, but they will gladly see us for $250. And the bilibrubin test will be more, but they don't know how much more. They put us in a room to figure this out(I am assuming they didn't want us to create a scene in the waiting room), and after about 25 minutes they came back in and basically said, "Yes, what we told you before is correct, we don't take your insurance, but you can be seen for $250 today plus lab fees. OR, you can pay $125 today and be billed for $125 plus lab fees". Which, if I am not mistaken, comes out to $250 plus lab fees. I explained that we needed to be seen today, as it was a Friday and my daughter needed to be tested today because she couldn't wait til Monday. They basically repeated the line about the $250. My wife had just given birth, we are struggling to get here, find parking, etc., my wife can barely walk, and my daughter needs urgent care, and we are told to basically go take a hike. Luckily, during our 25 minute wait we found another pediatrician down by the river. The other pediatricians office told us that the lab staff were supposed to leave at noon, but, they would have their staff wait until 1pm so that they could see us, because, get this--"it was important to them that they see all of their newborn patients to make sure they are well taken care of". WOW. Imagine a doctor's office that cares about their patients, especially the ones that are three days old! Amazing! NOT something you will find at Tribeca Pediatrics. These people DO NOT CARE about you. The doctors might be good, who knows? They might also be terrible. I can only hope their front office is not a mark on the quality of the physicians. The office staff was completely useless, uncaring, cold-hearted, and miserable. This is a mega-corporation masquerading as a pediatrician's office. I would never recommend this place to anyone. When it comes to my child's health I will pay whatever I need to. If I had not found the other pediatrician during our wait I would have paid whatever they were charging. That's not the point, the money is completely secondary to the way we were treated. Their total lack of caring completely turned me off. This place is a factory, they are NOT in this to take care of people or to help babies. Find another Pediatrician! read more

Worse. They seems to be nice when we just started to visit them. Then one doctor said that if baby ( 15 months old) is not eating, you have to put her in the dark room, like a punishment, so baby will know that she can't manipulate you. That was sounds just ridiculous!!!! Then one of the visits they said that baby is shorter that previous visit ( which is not possible ) When we realized that their nurses was measured all the time wrong. So the nurse was putting a baby to the standing height measure ( which is for grown kids only) and they scratched the back of my baby, and left us with out crying naked baby and her bleeding back. I was begging them to call the doctor to give us something to wipe the back and disinfect it. Nurses did stupid mad faces and didn't even move their asses, and told us to wait for a doctor, which came in 25 minutes. That was the worse experience in my life, I was crying myself after that, my baby was never in such a cry and pain as at this clinic! I would never recommend this place! I wanted to exclusively feed and I was disappointed with Dr's recommendations. My baby initially had difficulty with weight gain and reached birth weight at one month instead of 2 weeks. Instead of recommending a lactation consultant, she advised supplementing with formula or olive oil. We found out later through a LC visit that my baby had a posterior tongue tie which contributed to her slow weight gain. This was at five weeks!! After the procedure she fed wonderfully. But my baby also saw a Chiro and Craniosacral to encourage a proper latch to retrain her muscles after having used them for 6 weeks. Wish this was caught earlier to avoid this challenging start. I would recommend new moms to look into a pediatrician's support of breastfeeding. I did not feel that I had this support here. read more

After a difficult labor and delivery transitioning Bump to Baby D, the last thing I wanted after 5 days (!) in the hospital was to visit another doctor's office. But alas, per protocol we took Baby D to Tribeca Pediatrics the day after we were discharged from the hospital. First off, Bald One and I were exhausted. Baby D was exhausted and cranky. And we were worried that Baby D wasn't eating that well. We were pleasantly surprised to have absolutely NO wait for our Friday afternoon appointment (this has since happened 3 times so it's not a fluke) despite Tribeca being one of the more popular ped offices for the burgeoning stroller set in downtown JC. Our nurse practitioner, Leslie, was great with Baby D and immediately set her at ease. She didn't cry at all - much to our surprise - because she was wailing and howling at home. Her appointment went well and all our subsequent ones have been terrific. Even her 2 month vaccines were a cinch....I think I was more upset than Baby D was! Sigh...hormones.... One note of caution is that they keep their offices blisteringly warm. I felt like I had a fever until I realized it's the temperature of the office. But the result is a cozy, womb-like environment that immediately puts newborns at ease. read more

We went on the tour before the baby's arriving. The impression was good. However, after two visits with the baby, we are really disappointed. The practitioner doesn't seem to care. She spent few minutes checking the baby, but it didn't seem thorough. The answer to all the questions was "that's normal". The baby was hungry after checking last time, so I spent 5 minutes in the room feeding. Then we were told the room was needed for the next patient, and were kicked off the room. No one came in the next 15 minutes! I don't know if that's because the practitioner we are seeing are not responsible or it's just the practice. We are going to try a different practitioner next time, and hope things turn better. read more

I am the mother of a six month old who has been going to tribeca pediatrics since birth. I cannot say more positive things about this practice, and specifically, Dr. Mekhla Verma. A few points about Dr Verma : She's genuinely passionate about neonatal care and breastfeeding. I attribute my breastfeeding success story entirely to her. She's approachable, patient with questions and in addition to medical advice, has provided us with solid parenting advice - which as new parents we were very grateful for. TriBeCa pediatrics website has a lot of helpful resources and reading materials. Other doctors in the practice like Dr Schulwolf and Dr Mirani are also great. My only complaint is their nurses aren't necessarily the best (minor errors weighing the baby, etc but Dr Verma always fixes this when she gets in!) read more

I have been going to Tribeca Pediatrics for the past three years as I have a toddler and a newborn. While I love Dr Varma and Leslie Kelley, I just had the absolute worst week with the practice. My 6 month old baby has been sick for the past seven days. We have been to the practice three times with escalating concerns as my sweet baby was getting sicker and sicker. As of tonight, my baby has been admitted to Hackensack with RSV. In many cases its not dangerous but with preemies and people with compromised immune systems it can be deadly. After multiple visits, I asked for an RSV test and I was told they don't do it. No reason given. That is fine. Except on Christmas, we rushed to the urgent care center in Hoboken to have my daughters lungs checked.The first thing the doctor asked was whether I had the results og the RSV test. I explained I did not. The next day I went for a follow up to Tribeca. I asked again and was told the test was not necessary. I was sent home with instructions to steam my baby. Within a matter of hours, we were bak at Hackensack where the doctors explained how important follow up care was as the virus could be unpredictable. My six month old endured a deep lung suctioning and x rays. The hospital sent us home as they knew we had an appointment. At Hackensack,They finally do the RSV test. Its positive. The next morning I show up on time for my appointment. The room is crowded with sick kids. I wait patiently 20 minutes past my scheduled appointment while my daughter is wheezing around other sick kids. I ask the temporary receptionist when I can expect to be seen and she rolls her eyes. I ignore it but five minutes later I ask again as my very sick daughter cries. I never hear anything else and after an hour wait I see a doctor I have not seen before. She is rushed but checks my daughter. She makes a follow up appointment, That night my daughter gets worse and we go back to the hospital. the next day is a repeat of the previous visit with a nicer receptionist.Still a long wait. I see another dr who I have seen in the past( I am not naming names) and she checks my daughter. Declares her well on the road to recovery. overnight my daughter gets ways worse. I send my husband back to the hospital. My daughter has very low oxygen levels. I am understandably upset so I reach out to the practice. I call the urgent line. A nurse picks up and while friendly enough, she forgot to put me on hold while she talks about me to her co workers. She calls me a pissed off parent. Up until this point, I see myself as an understandably upset mom. I am polite but get off the phone because I am too upset to speak to the nurse further. I get a phone call from a doctor I don't know 5 hours after I left the message. She is curt and impatient. Keep in mind these are the doctors who have taken care of my two babies for three years. Not one ounce of compassion. I will be looking for a new practice. read more

Dr. Kero is the primary doctor for many of my friends children. To be fair I know her personally as well . She is a wonderful person and amazing doctor and will care for your child better than any doctor in the city. The office is very professional and courteous. On top of it they have multiple locations making it even more convenient to get to see the best doctors in the city you care for your child. read more

Surprised that they only have 3 stars! We have been coming here since our daughter was born 3 months ago and have only had positive experiences. As first time parents, we have had lots of questions - sometimes outside of office hours and we have always been able to get a nurse or Dr on the phone asap and they never make us feel like the ridiculously paranoid parents that we are! When they say someone will call you back, you get a call back and the emergency line goes straight to a live person that can help - not an answering service. We also haven't had any issues with scheduling appointments. Probably the main reason for the 5 stars is the benefit of the multiple locations. My daughter had a small injury on a Saturday over a holiday weekend that wasn't an emergency. Since the Tribeca location was open that Sunday and you can use any location, we called them and spoke to a nurse who helped us out. We didn't have to wait until the JC office opened on Tuesday or call an after hours line for a non emergency during a holiday weekend. We love it! read more

What a relief it was to switch my daughter over to Tribeca Pediatrics. We are thrilled with Dr. Alla Blank's care and couldn't be happier. When my daughter was born, we went with a different practice based on the recommendation of a friend. I don't want to name names, but they are affiliated with a local healthcare network. The initial visits were ok, but then our chosen pediatrician left, and we had a variety of problems from not being able to contact a doctor to having our visits repeatedly rescheduled. We finally did what we should have done from the start, and went to Tribeca. It would have saved us so much hassle. Doctor Blank is incredibly thorough. She found a bit of asymmetry in my daughter's hips and recommended us to a specialist. She asks us questions about developmental milestones and listens to all of our first time parent questions. She is exceptionally patient and kind, and my daughter didn't even cry with her first shot at her last visit. Every appointment is wonderful, even when we're visiting with a sick baby. The office staff has been so helpful in everything from rescheduling appointments to providing paperwork for daycare/other doctors. When we call with questions, big or small, someone gets back to us quickly with a thorough explanation/answer. I just can't say enough good things. I wish I felt this way about my own doctors! When it comes down to it, I feel like everyone there genuinely cares about the health and wellbeing of my daughter. As a first time parent, I'm sure I'm overly concerned about certain things, but you cant be too careful in my opinion, and I feel like Doctor Blank is invested in helping me and my husband raise a happy, healthy child. read more

I needed a pediatrician on short notice, as my child was released from the NICU earlier than anticipated. There weren't many options in Jersey City, and this location came first on a google search. After two visits, I switched to Dr. Regina Politis on John F. Kennedy Blvd (whom I'm happy with). I didn't like Tribeca Pediatrics because: - Appointments felt rushed. I get the feeling they accept more visits they can handle with current staff so they can bill more. The nurse practitioner failed to see a dimple on my child's sacral spine that Dr. Politis noticed. - They don't let you choose which staff member you want to see. I was assigned to the nurse practitioner, but I wanted to see a pediatrician. - The practice is modeled off a doctor who has a very specific vision of pediatrics and they encourage patients to buy his book. I find this off-putting. - At my child's second visit, the nurse didn't even take his temperature. Overall, I got a style-over-substance vibe from their office and am happier with Dr. Politis. read more

We loved how they handled the whole experience from the moment we walked in the door. The dr and nurse had wonderful bedside manner. I'm basing my 3 star review as an average of my rating of the doctors (5 stars) and the front desk staff at the Jersey City location (1 star). The doctors are great - we've had nothing but positive experiences with Dr. Bansilal, Dr. Blank, and NP Leslie Kelly and this is the only reason why I've decided to stay with this practice. However, the front desk staff needs serious retraining. While there have been minor annoyances like booking the wrong date for my daughter's flu shot and failing to inform me that her paperwork was ready and having us wait for no reason in an empty waiting room until I go up and ask about it, how they handled an emergency incident with my daughter a few weeks ago is inexcusable. I brought my almost 13 month old in after she suddenly started crying uncontrollably - we suspected she hurt her arm but there was no obvious trauma that would automatically warrant a trip to the ER. When I approached the front desk carrying my daughter saying she was in pain and couldn't move her arm, their response was "the next sick appointment we have is at 3pm (2 hours later)". I should note that the waiting room was empty at the time. They showed ZERO compassion and directed us to go to City MD, even after remarking that my daughter probably had nursemaid's elbow. We just wanted a doctor to see her right away so went to City MD where they don't have the best experience dealing with small children (not their fault as they're not pediatricians). We ended up in the ER, waited for hours, and went through 2 rounds of unnecessary xrays, the 2nd of which my daughter ended up popping her own elbow back into place while screaming in pain and fighting with the xray tech. The whole ordeal lasted 6 hours and was very traumatizing for all of us, especially for my daughter. After complaining, we received apologies from the owner and medical staff confirming that the front desk never should have turned us away but this doesn't change what happened. Really disappointed and I sincerely hope they retrain the front desk staff on how to handle emergency situations. read more

My son was a patient at the Warren Street location, but I have a newborn now and was ecstatic to find that the Tribeca Peds Jersey City just opened. The space is absolutely beautiful and Dr. Symms is fantastic. She had an incredibly busy day and still managed to make me feel like my boys were her top priority. I love this practice and love the new office. read more

We've been going to this practice since my son was born a year ago and it has been a really good experience. I really like the whole philosophy, the health care providers are reassuring and professional. We didn't have issues with any of the providers, we especially love dr Varma and Leslie. I highly recommend this practice, if you are in line with their philosophy, which is a more more relaxed, but rigorously evidence based, view of the field. read more

Minimal wait time, modern facilities, friendly staff - all welcome changes from our previous practice! Our first time there was for one of my toddler's check-up/vaccine appointments and, well, #toddlers. My child screamed and thrashed mega-tantrum style for almost an hour and Dr. Varma displayed the utmost patience and kindness through it all. Great vibes from her right off the bat. Glad we chose this practice and doctor! read more

We recently changed from Riverside Medical Group to Tribeca Pediatrics. What a difference! I wish i had chosen Tribeca before my baby arrived. So far we have seen Leslie PNP and Dr. Blank. They both are wonderful. They showed love and care and humanity to our LO. Wait time has not been issue also although we have been going with appointment so not yet walk in which understandable will be longer wait perhaps. I also like their patient portal, which is very easy to use and communication with the office via the portal has been great. The nurse always call back within reasonable time based on messages we sent. I hope the good experience will continue. read more

We have been for years seeing doctors at this office and lately, I have started "shopping around": for a new pediatrician. Last time we have seen Dr Newman and she was not interested at all in the dermatological problem my daughter had. A CVS pharmacist told me in a few seconds what the issue was and recommended seeing a doctor and get a prescription to get the issue resolved quickly. Dr Newman spent 3 seconds, behaved very rudely and gave us a Neosporing type cream to treat yeast infection!!!! We remained lingering in the office since I was truly not sure if she is going to return and give us some explanation of she was done with us... have never experienced anything similar at any other doctor's office. My kid even asked why doctor doesn't want to help her. After a couple of days, I realized that the cream is not working and went to a dermatologist .. .by that point my kid was scratching for about a week or more and suffering just because of an incompetent pediatrician. Additionally, this was not the first time that dermatological issues have been ignored in this office and since this is the only health issue my kids are encountering .. I may as well look for the office that is able to treat and diagnose simple things properly. read more

Worst customer service ever. They won't receive you if your baby is sick and won't give you any alternative. I guess it is just Ok if your baby is fine and just go there for vaccines and regular check up. However don't ask for much. After they vaccine your baby, they will tell you that your baby has to take tylenol if needed. However, they won't tell you the dose and if you ask, they will just tell you to take a look at their website. The persons at reception are very rude and absolutely not nice. I would never recommend to go there. And I definitely recommend not to go there if you want a personal relationship with your doctor. Actually i am looking for another doctor. read more

OK, time to do some internet justice. This office deserves way more than 3.5 stars. We've been coming here for well visits for our baby who's currently 6.5 months old and we see Dr Kero. First of all - and most importantly - the doctor spends a lot of time with our son at every visit. She actually does a complete physical: stethoscope for heart/lungs, checks eyes, checks ears, checks mouth, checks the head, muscle tone, development, reflexes, skin, belly, hips and legs, etc. Anything you can think of. What's the big deal, you ask? Well, at some point we considered switching doctors because a (highly rated) office opened up in our apartment building. Can't beat the convenience. But the doctor there spent literally 10 seconds looking at our son and another 15 seconds talking some nonsense about feeding solids at 4 months if the baby is gaining "too much weight" being exclusively breastfed. Then he left. So when we recently found out he had missed a serious problem with our friends' baby, we weren't surprised at all. Needless to say, after that one visit we went back to Dr Kero and never looked back. In addition to being incredibly thorough in her examinations, she personally keeps track of all the test results our baby has had. When results are late being forwarded to the office, she always stays on top of it. If that weren't enough, Dr Kero has a great bedside manner as well. She is warm, witty, professional. She is also the one doing the vaccinations, which she is really good at. Our baby stops crying literally seconds after the shots. (Which was not at all the case at *the other office*.) Now, I can't speak to how supportive they are of breastfeeding because luckily I haven't really needed any support. The doctor was definitely happy when she heard I was EBF-ing, and she didn't push either early solids or formula. Also, I find it telling that I've never seen a single formula sample at the entire office. Not a single one. Whereas, you guessed it, whenever I pass by *that other office* in my building, Similac samples is all I see in the windows. The rest of the staff at Tribeca is very professional and friendly as well. Out of all of our appointments, they were running late only once, during the winter holiday season. Other than that, we are always seen within *5* minutes of coming in. Now, Michel Cohen, who is the head this chain of practices, does have some views I don't agree with (ahem, CIO, ahem), but I just ignore those. On the other hand, he is a proponent of not over-medicalizing, which is a rare and admirable attitude these days. (We've seen this in action when our baby suffered from what we thought was reflux. No drugs were pushed and the doctor just made sure the baby was growing and developing normally despite some discomfort.) What I need from a pediatrician is to be able to check if my baby is developing properly and to spot and diagnose any problems as early as possible. Given that Dr Kero is so thorough and caring, I trust she is the best possible person for the job. read more

I wish I could give a 0 star to this medical office. I have never seen a more unprofressional medical practice like this one. Here's my story. We were expecting a baby at the end of January, and so found this pediatrician in October, went to their open house, pre-registered on their website with all our information. We were told to call after the baby is born in order to be seen for a first visit. And so, once the baby was born we called and this is what they say to me -- "We are not accepting new patients at the moment. You can book at appointment for March, which is when we will see new patients. " REALLY? This is exactly what I want to hear as a brand new mom ,who went through a difficult labor and delivery, and whose 3 day old newborn has jaundice and high bilirubin levels and was advised by the hospital pediatrician to go see your own pediatrician ASAP after being discharged from the hospital. To hear this on a day when a blizzard is expected over the next few days. You expect me to a find an appointment with a new pediatrician the same day? Why ask for people to pre-register? The least you could do is give a courtesy call/email those pre-registered to let them know the day you decide to stop seeing new patients. HOW DIFFICULT IS THAT since you're such a high tech office? Clearly impossible since you didn't have the decency to let us know. I cannot believe you would behave like this considering you work with anxious new parents and children. Beyond disappointed, would not recommend this office to any new parents. read more
