It's exactly what you would expect for a small town diner. Food was good, the people are friendly and the tea is sweet!

Went here for Father's Day and it was great. It has a laid back relaxed casual vibe. Our service…read morewas great thanks to Bri for taking care of my family. Food was well seasoned and portions were good for the cost. Started off with the Visalia Onion Dip and Bravas and Brussels. Then for main meals I got the daily special which was a Blackened Pork Chop over Mashed Potatoes with a side of Crispy Brussels Sprouts. My wife had the Prime Rib which was seasoned to perfection. Our kids had the Blackened Salmon and the other had the Chicken Caprese. Everything tasted great and we had wanted to go here and finally did and will most likely be back again for a different dish or two... and sorry I only got one pic of the drink we got, oops.

We were there on a 95 degree day. When we were seated our waitress brought us a carafe of water and 2 glasses. Room temperature water and no ice. I asked for ice and she brought us a cup of ice. Not really enough for 2 people and it melted down as soon as I poured water over it. I figured that the only way I would get ice was to order a drink, so I ordered ice tea. That usually comes with ice. Right?? Well our waitress said that she had to brew me a fresh cup of tea which when you pour that over ice the ice melts away and again I had a glass of room temperature tea. I couldn't get a cold drink here to save my life. And did I mention that it was 95 degrees out? My wife ordered a Rubin sandwich, not realizing that it was a spicy sandwich. One bite and she was done. She doesn't like spicy food so I traded her for my simple bacon egg sandwich on a bagel and I had her spicy Rubin. And it was spicy! They had a mustard that must've been made with jalapeño and if you like heat, you will like this. Plenty of parking. Full bar. Clean restroom. Very average.

They recently got a new manager and chef who is making some very positive changes. Menu items have changed and the food quality has gotten better and better. They are expanding hours also so make sure you check on the times they are open. Also, there are times when the golf course is closed that results in The Grill closing also so I think it's a good idea to call them just to make sure they're open before traveling here. The kitchen is small, I'm told, which sometimes means the food takes a bit longer to come out but the prices are reasonable, the quality is good, and the staff are friendly. If you are a golfer, this is a great place to relax after playing a round on the beautiful Mount Vintage courses. Update: my wife, son, and I visited the Mount Vintage Grill last week after 9 holes of golf. It was around 4 PM when we sat down. Unfortunately, our son and I ordered a "dipping" sandwich off the "specials" blackboard which was supposed to come with an Au Jus dipping sauce. You probably know where I'm going with this but the sandwiches were delivered without the sauce. When asked about the sauce, we were told the chef hadn't mixed any up so there was none to be had! The sandwiches were sort of like Philly cheesesteaks and were OK by themselves but would have been much better with the sauce. Nicole, the server, didn't know there was no Au Jus made until we ordered our sandwiches. I like the Grill, and the new management is making good changes BUT this kind of event starts to turn you against any restaurant. Sorry, but don't advertise it if you don't have it. My wife and I will still go there because this is not the norm but I felt I would be negligent if I only reported on good things and ignored the substandard things.
