General Rental Center is woefully located on a road that is accessible only via the Waffle House parking lot (or a hidden-ish dirt road off Christian, about 1/5 a mile ahead). I greeted the front desk guy and told him I was interested in some glassware rentals for the weekend. I'd looked at the website in advance, so had an idea of what I wanted; at the Center, I got to look at them in person and confirm. The really cool thing is that they don't charge an extra fee for splitting a rack (competitors I looked at will charge you $5 to do this). They also said I could pick up anytime Friday, instead of having to get them Saturday. AND I didn't even have to pay a deposit or sign any paperwork. I mean, I did only rent a total of 50 pieces; but I've worked with rental operations before, and I have to say GRC's flexibility is really awesome. On top of that, the guy who helped me was exceptionally personable and made one of today's "chores" a pleasure!

Ryan Steffes, the photographer, ordered the balloon and apparently they're used to doing this and gave him options for baskets and what not. The netting was pretty cute but I think a different twine or something would have looked a little nicer. It was crazy hot but we only had it outside for a few hours. Sadly, it started to wilt the next day but my daughter still enjoyed playing with it even if it was on the ground.

I say "balloon towers" now, but at the time I had no idea what options were available nor what they were called. I received excellent assistance over the phone from a Balloons & Tunes staff member who very patiently listened to what I needed and explained my options. The balloon towers were delivered on time, lasted well, and looked amazing. This week I ordered "number balloons" for a birthday celebration during the pandemic. As before, I received professional service over the phone. Pick-up at the store was easy and touch-free. The balloons were weighted with easy-to-adjust, sand-filled weights and I was told that helium refills are free. The large, shiny balloons really brightened up a quarantined birthday celebration and their price was absolutely reasonable. I recommend Balloons & Tunes without reservation.

I made a small box and my friend made a larger one. It was great being able to choose everything from the project itself to the wood stain to the paint color(s). My box is now displayed proudly in my home, and there's lots of other projects I'd love to make whenever I get a chance to go back! I feel like these folks really have this down to a science. We walked in and our boards were waiting for us. We sanded them and stained them. Then Michelle helped us putting our pre-made stencils onto the wood, and we primed and painted. Very simple, yet so brilliant because I don't have to deal with paint and sawdust in my home. :)

Michele is fantastic! My husband and I hired Michele about 18 months out from our wedding to be our…read more"month out" coordinator. I told Michele at the time that I wanted her to take over planning a couple of months before the wedding because I would be studying for my residency board exam prior to the wedding. We made plans to meet up and have her take over closer to the date. From the get go, Michele was on board to support me fully during the exam studying and not contact me unless necessary. The three of us met up for a meeting prior to starting my study block and then for 6 weeks while I was studying, she and my husband handled everything. Michele is experienced and initiated all contact with vendors and knew exactly what to-do items needed to be completed and when. She was happy to handle things and visit the venue prior to the big day! In regards to the actual day, Michele was very detail oriented while still being able to see the big picture which allowed the event to run smoothly. Michele kept us on our timeline while still being flexible and allowing us to linger when necessary, that meant we could actually enjoy the reception portion. Michele would frequently check in on me and my husband to make sure we were comfortable and happy. She was skilled at delegating tasks to others but also willing to get her hands dirty to make things work (moving tables herself, carrying chairs and setting up) even if physical manual labor was required to get the job done! The entire time she maintained a great attitude and was also funny so it made the weekend even more enjoyable. Our venue (The Pavilion at Nicks Road) was extremely challenging and difficult to work with - she still handled so much that I think only the rest of my family knows about so that my husband and I could enjoy the day. Multiple people came up to me during my wedding weekend to say I was the most calm looking bride they have ever seen - I am sure that can be attributed to the fact that Michele was in charge and when people would ask me something I would just point them towards Michele. You should absolutely hire Michele for your wedding. We had so much fun and our weekend was perfect. My only regret is not considering full wedding planning services with Michele - I am sure she would do an amazing job in that scenario too.
