I responded (email) quickly to the quote with a couple questions. Again no response, so I called and left two voicemails on back-to-back weekdays during business hours. I never heard back. Even if I'd wanted to accept the quote and book the rentals, I don't know how I would have given their lack of response. Extremely frustrating communication, I would not try them again.

General Rental Center is woefully located on a road that is accessible only via the Waffle House parking lot (or a hidden-ish dirt road off Christian, about 1/5 a mile ahead). I greeted the front desk guy and told him I was interested in some glassware rentals for the weekend. I'd looked at the website in advance, so had an idea of what I wanted; at the Center, I got to look at them in person and confirm. The really cool thing is that they don't charge an extra fee for splitting a rack (competitors I looked at will charge you $5 to do this). They also said I could pick up anytime Friday, instead of having to get them Saturday. AND I didn't even have to pay a deposit or sign any paperwork. I mean, I did only rent a total of 50 pieces; but I've worked with rental operations before, and I have to say GRC's flexibility is really awesome. On top of that, the guy who helped me was exceptionally personable and made one of today's "chores" a pleasure!
