Lenny makes the process as painless as possible and was willing to either customize our event as much as we wanted or step in and fill in the blanks as needed. All we had to do was pick out the songs we wanted (he offered to help with suggestions as well) and plug them into his website and it was like painting with colors. That is another thing, his website has a really user friendly interface which allows you to pretty much plan every minute of music you play from start to finish for the event. As we did procrastinate with some of our song selections we needed to step in and let Lenny know that based on the songs we had picked to fill in the rest of the evening with other similar songs and he knew exactly what we were looking for. Also, we did have a handful of "must have" songs and Lenny made sure to fit those in throughout the evening. Lenny did a amazing job setting up for the event and his uplighting he brought made the whole wedding all the more beautiful and I was told Haywood Hall has never looked better. All throughout the event Lenny also helped lend a hand with organizing and directing and went WAY above and beyond what I would have expected from any other DJ. It was almost as if we had a second Day of Coordinator and his helpfulness was so greatly appreciated. Last but not least I did want to mention that Lenny pulled off all of our event wearing a Tux of all things! I have been to so many events and about the best dressed DJ I've seen was wearing Khakis and a button up plaid shirt. Lenny made sure to dress for the event and I had no idea how much a sharp dressed DJ can really help pull the setting together. The reality is, the DJ, a self proclaimed military professional, couldn't get along with my venue owner, interrupted me, the bride, during my receiving line to tell me he couldn't get along with the owner. He stopped me once more during the wedding, to complain about something else. In the weeks after the wedding, no less than ten people approached me about how rude the DJ/owner was to my guests and people that worked at the venue. That is unacceptable. The father-daughter and mother-son dances were combined because he didn't have the song we requested, and then the song kept skipping and couldn't be played so the dance was ruined. I realize he helped us out by stepping in last minute when our other DJ canceled, and the music was ok in general- but the professionalism was lacking and made a significant impact on our wedding day, sadly. I wanted it not to bother me. To top it off, a piece of property owned by the drop zone was used to move his equipment because he didn't bring anything to move it. After the wedding, the piece of property was noted to be missing. I called him to ask if he had it and he said no. Ok, well, you're the last person to have had it and now it's not there. It's August and the property still hasn't returned.... Given everything else, yes I have reason to doubt his integrity and I think he has it. Very disappointed.

I made a small box and my friend made a larger one. It was great being able to choose everything from the project itself to the wood stain to the paint color(s). My box is now displayed proudly in my home, and there's lots of other projects I'd love to make whenever I get a chance to go back! I feel like these folks really have this down to a science. We walked in and our boards were waiting for us. We sanded them and stained them. Then Michelle helped us putting our pre-made stencils onto the wood, and we primed and painted. Very simple, yet so brilliant because I don't have to deal with paint and sawdust in my home. :)
