Delightful little ice cream shop! I came by here after being overwhelmed by the giant line at Cascais's historical Santini, but I'm so glad that I did -- you can find Santini's gelato anywhere, but Triamo's Cascais flavor is truly one of a kind. I never thought that someone could make the ocean taste as good as they did, but they managed to work miracles -- the Cascais flavor truly does taste like the ocean, with its seaweed and spirulina, but it is also super refreshing from the mint and plenty sweet. I am a huge sucker for any sweet and savory combo, so the Cascais gelato was such a treat.
The shop itself is cute but quite barebones, with just a register, a small case of pastei de nata, and an ice cream station with about 20 flavors. There isn't any space to sit inside, but they have a few tables outside, where you can enjoy the lovely sea breeze while enjoying your sea-flavored ice cream. You do have to pay before you get your ice cream, so be sure to make a stop at the register before you walk back to the ice cream scoopers! read more
