He then covered his face with his hand to smell his breath and then stated "A mask for what?" I just said forget it and left. I brought a glitchy RadCity Bike to Edgewares in hopes of getting it fixed. I had just had a bad…read moreexperience at another bike shop where I was told it would be worked on quickly, then 2 hours later they "still hadn't heard from their e-bike mechanic" who was running late I work or something. So I brought the bike back to brooklyn and to Edgewares. The owner of the shop stopped what he was doing to come take a cursory look. When the battery was fizzing he knew there was a bigger issue so instead of promising a quick turn around he said he wanted to find the real problem but it could take time, and he'd follow up with an estimate. I appreciated the quick review and honest timeline. I got a call later that he had discovered some glitchy wires that may have also been shorting the battery and he had contacted rad wagon and found it. It was under warranty and was able to get me a replacement bike. I was floored! I was happy to pay for set up of the new bike as they had put a lot of time into it. When I realize I had forgotten the key lock for the battery when picking up the new bike they came to my house a mile and a half away to pick it up. It was incredible customer service. I have two ebikes and kid bikes and this place will be my go to for servicing in the future !

Let me be clear: the only reason this place gets 2 stars instead of 1 is because of Julian, who in…read moremy opinion is a good salesperson who did his best to help us. We came in seriously interested in purchasing one of the newer AMG models, but were told we could not test drive any of their AMGs due to concerns about depreciation from added mileage. That's frankly absurd in my opinion - this is a dealership selling high-performance vehicles, not a museum. I might understand that logic for something like a Ferrari or Rolls-Royce, but a Mercedes? You've got to be kidding me. We made it clear that we would not purchase any vehicle without test driving it. Their response was that a test drive would only be allowed if we first sat down to discuss pricing. When I asked how that would somehow prevent "depreciation", especially if we weren't even planning to buy that specific AMG anyway, they couldn't provide a coherent answer. It came across as a weak excuse to control the sales process rather than a legitimate policy. For comparison, the Mercedes dealership in Bayside, Queens had no issue allowing AMG test drives, so this is clearly not a brand-wide policy, but rather a specific policy of this location. We then asked to speak with a manager to better understand the reasoning. The manager literally came out but chose to ignore us after standing behind us for a few minutes. To me, this level of disregard for serious potential buyers is completely unacceptable. If this is how they treat customers before a sale, I can only imagine what happens afterward. I would strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere if you're looking for a professional, transparent, and respectful car-buying experience.
