From my very first call, Diane understood the urgency and immediately sent their foreman, Edwin, who was knowledgeable, thorough, and very clear in explaining what needed to be done. Within just a few hours, Diane provided a detailed proposal and arranged for the team to be onsite the very next day to remove the ducts, replace a rusty pan, and coordinate the reinstall once remediation was complete. When the crew arrived (Fernando and Sabino), they worked quickly and professionally, clearly taking pride in their work. Their years of experience showed, and the results exceeded my expectations. Scott is the most honest and responsive person in the business. Tri Tech installed our HVAC system 3 years ago and stand behind there work. I had an issue with my Nest thermostats (software update) and Scott made it a point to come out with one of his technicians to be sure the system wasn't the problem. Even though Tri Tech did not install the thermostats they stayed after we rebooted the thermostats to be sure all was working well. I highly recommend Ti Tech. Waited a few days to collect my thoughts before posting so it wasnt a knee jerk response review.. Had some issues with my current unit. Was told I would need a new one. Priced around. This was the only company that offered to come see if they could do an easy repair rather than replace the whole thing which would cost significantly less. Perfect. Would be sending a co owner. Great. Sent over current unit info so the correct part would be ordered. My gut told me to confirm the morning of. Spoke directly to Tony. Was told the part wasnt ordered or picked up. Either way, wouldn't have it in time for the appointment. Can he come tomorrow. Need it done so fine. Made this plan directly with him. Ran a bit behind coming home from the doctor the next day but still early for our appointment. Text him only to be asked hadn't the girl in the office contacted me? Part isnt in and hes now in a meeting. Scroll through phone. No missed calls. No voicemails or texts. No emails. Tell him as much. Was told she left me messages and that he will be in touch when the part comes in. No such thing happened. He told me I had made the arrangements with her so what could he do. What could he do? Be honest. Own that there was a goof up on your end. Since he was so insistent that she had called multiple times I sent him a picture of the call log from my phone showing otherwise. I told him I will go elsewhere thanks anyway. Since he had proven less than reliable I called the office directly to tell them to cancel all appointments at my home. The girl who allegedly made these calls to me answers and starts shrieking to not yell at her and hangs up. I call back and spoke to a very lovely and calm lady who I was able to very quickly explain that I wanted to cancel the parts and all appointments. She said she would make a note. Thanked her. End of story. Tony texts me telling me I was rude which wasnt the case but whatever. Besides the point. Had to then go a few rounds of asking him not to contact me any further. I had high hopes for this company but in the end they were unreliable and they lied on multiple accounts. Human error happens by accident but lying is an intentional act. We hired Tri-Tech to install a new air handler in 2013 and do some ductwork. None of it is cheap. One of the co-owners showed up at the end to chat and check to make sure it was ok. 2016 we are getting ready to sell the house and the buyers inspector informs us that the condenser drains into septic which is not to code. Call the co-owner Scott who first says it was to code, then says who knows whats to code, every town is different and then without missing a beat claims my husband said it was fine not to direct it out. I am certain had my husband been informed this is not to code he wouldnt have said Great, let's do it. Furthermore, you shouldnt do stuff thats not to code! Tri Tech replaced the heating equipment in our house in New Canaan, when we converted to natural gas. They also installed a tankless water heater and removed the old oil holding tank. Scott stayed in touch all the time to let us know about the scheduling of various tasks. He always responded promtly to my text questions. After the installation the basement was left spotless, tidy and clean. During the following months we had a couple of minor issues caused by extremely cold weather, and some of the issues were entirely unconnected to the new equipment. Scott was "on it" immediately. We never had to wait more than a couple of hours for him to respond, to show up and correct stuff. He is a true professional. I highly recommend Tri Tech from my experience with them. read more

I hired Tri-Tech in January 2016 to replace the heat pump in my condo. As a woman who isn't always well versed on all things home improvement, my experience with Tri-Tech was EXCEPTIONAL!!! Not only did they explain things to be in a way I would understand, but they were able to accomodate me quickly so that I didn't have to suffer without heat. The team was great, they worked quickly and didn't leave a mess. They were very friendly and professional. Much to my dismay, I recently had to switch my water heater. I'm a new customer. I had an appointment scheduled and when the tech was half an hour late I called dispatch to see where he was. I wanted to hold and they hung up on me. I did get a call back and was told he was on his way. (45 mins late) Combination no show and with the dispatcher being rude so I cancelled the appointment. I was given the name of this business by my plumber who highly recommended their services. I made an appointment to have someone come and give me an estimate for a job. He was an hour late and stayed for 5 minutes. He said that he would e-mail me a quote. One week and no quote. I called the office and was told that the fellow who came would get the quote out to me. One more week and no communication or quote. I called once more, and the woman who answered the phone put me on hold, talked to the fellow who initially came to my house, and came back to me. She said that by 7:00pm he would e-mail me the quote. 7:00 pm came and went. No quote; no communication of any kind. Guess they don't care about my business. I went elsewhere. The owner of that company at least had the courtesy to let me know that he was very busy, but assured me that it might be a week or so before he could send me a quote. And it happened. We moved to Stamford from Chicago in July 2008. The air conditioning units were not cooling the house. We called AirSolutions who serviced the units previously. They wanted $400.00 just to test the lines to find the leak. Because the units were over 10 yrs old we weren't sure about spending the money to repair them vs. buying new energy efficient ones. We got 3 estimates to replace the units and chose TRI TECH MECHANICAL to replace the HVAC. SCOTT CHILA came out to evaluate what we had and because of his presentation, the cost of replacing all the units, the warranties, the rebates and the fact that TRI TECH is located in Stamford we chose them. We replaced the furnace, heat pump unit and 2 air conditioning units. The thermostats are easy to set and they have a setting to remind us of Annual Maintenance check. In June 2009 we had to replace a 50 gallon water heater tank. Again we called SCOTT CHILA to advise us about this replacement. We have not had any problems with the new tank since he installed it. SCOTT CHILA has only come out once in 4 yrs to check the thermostat and have had the units cleaned annually as recommended by the manual. Its good to know that in an emergency this company is located close to us and in 4 yrs have not had any problems with our HVAC. We love the Carrier High Efficiency Units !! read more
