John and Sho are excellent and takes pride in their work and customer service!!! We have used them for many, many years for various projects at various properties as their pricing is reasonable. We were very hesitant to fumigate our current house as our roof is made of tiles that were found "defective" and therefore discontinued - we don't have any spare tiles. We also have solar panels to boot. Any extensive damage to our roof tiles would require us to replace the entire roof AND solar panels. John was very honest and transparent. He visited us multiple times to ensure he could do the fumigation with minimal damage (as damage of tile roofs is unavoidable) and to ensure the fumigation was going as planned. Tri-Pacific Termite came through. Quite a bit of time was spent carefully preparing and protecting the roof. Damage was very minor and minimal and the team cleaned up well. This is the absolute worst company I've ever dealt with. Completely dishonest and fraudulent. We had them do approximate $20,000 worth of termite work when we bought our new home. A couple years later we started to see evidence of dry rot and termites. When we called them to check it out, they wanted to charge us significant fees to "re-inspect". We found this to be extremely disappointing and somewhat offensive. Rather than pay them again, we found three other companies that would do no cost inspections and engaged them to do so. What we found was horrifying. All three companies told us that TRI-Pacific had deliberately concealed significant dry rot on load bearing beams by covering them up with new exterior wood. Dry Rot is a Fungus that continues to grow if not removed, and therefore this had caused it to spread throughout our entire deck and into the main structure. While the deck and beams are the biggest issues, all three companies found numerous other instances in which dry rot and termites were "hidden" rather than dealt with. All three inspectors stated that they had never seen such gross fraud and negligence, and all three recommended we file a complaint with the Structural Pest Control Board. Before doing so, we contacted Tri-Pacific to tell them what we had learned and give them the opportunity to make it right. Unfortunately, they made no attempt to make it right. We then got repair estimates from two licensed contractors who also reported that TRI-Pacific had fraudulently "covered up" rather than properly do the work they were paid to do. Bottom line, this will now cost us 3 times what we originally spent to repair, since dry rot spreads and the situation has gotten much worse over time. Do yourself a big favor avoid these guys. They're crooks and they're dangerous. Don't trust them with your home. read more

Everyone that I've worked with at the company has been very thorough. I had numerous inspections done of my home prior to Contracting with Tri- Pacific. Their inspection was by far the most thorough and pictures were very detailed. All of their employees were very polite and also took the time to explain what they were doing while onsite. There were some repairs that needed to be done two days prior to the house actually being tented. The day work began the owners themselves actually came out to walk with the workers pointing out exactly where and what needed to be done. If I could give six stars I would. Every member of the Tri-Pacific team is totally professional and a pleasure to work with. They took the time to walk through all of their findings and explain exactly what needs to be done. As it happened , I had already gotten an estimate and inspection report from another termite company. Tri-Pacific confirmed the other inspector's work and did all the required remediation for about half the cost. Then after the job was done, Jeff, the owner, called me up make sure I understood small moisture issue that, although not urgent, might warrant some further attention. These guys are the best!! Honest and reliable. When I was selling my home they came out and did a thorough inspection. After owning my house for 20 years of course I needed some work done. They had to do about $15,000 worth of work because I had 3 balconies that had a lot of dry rot and termites that had also gone under the floor boards. I had already moved to my new house and needed escrow to close in 30 days.They did the work fast and took pictures of everything. They had great communication and were always on time. They would take pictures of all the dry rot and termite damage they found and email the pictures to me. They insisted that I come by the house to see first hand what they had found and how it was being fixed. I was amazed at how wonderful they put everything back together. I had bleached hardwood floors and there was no evidence that they were even torn out. I know it was because I saw the boards underneath that were replaced. The balconies came out perfect and they even matched the paint. They were able to get all the work done so escrow could close on time. This made the new owner happy and made me look good because I was able to keep to the time promised for them to move in. I work as a realtor so I feel confident in always recommending Tri-Pacific. We bought a house and the seller did the termite inspection with Tri-Pacific Termite Control. They saw no need to tent the house, even though it would have been the perfect time. Upon moving in we found flooring destroyed by termites, termites in the ceiling, termites flying in the kitchen. I called Tri-Pacific and John McCauley came out, he was fine and offered to spot treat problem areas. He was courteous and professional. I called back to schedule spot treating and his son (maybe Jeff) came out and refused to treat the problem areas even though I showed him evidence of termites - poop and pictures. He came out, had a beam replaced, never treated the area and said he would vacuum because it was old debris. When they showed up, they didn't even bring a vacuum, they had to use ours. Jeff was not pleasant to work with. Well, every 2 weeks we find new evidence of both drywood and subterrenean termites. We had another company come out and they found multiple active infestations in the house. We have to tent and treat subterranean termites. When I called to talk to John McCauley, the female receptionist asked me why I need to talk to him and refused to let me communicate with him. This company is so incredibly dishonest. If they do your inspection DO NOT TRUST THEM. Hire someone else. We are out THOUSANDS of DOLLARS because we have to move out and home our pets for multiple days. They are chummy with sellers agents and not responsible. This is our home and they were so disrespectful and dishonest with their work. read more

I recommended Tri-Pacific to a friend after having them once. I was pleased with their inspection, and I think they do a good job on inspection - but - the contractor did NOT do the repiar job and Tri-Pacific did NOT stand behind his work (or lack of). First they suggested my friend deal directly with their contractor (which shocked her, she paid Tri-Pacific, not a contractor to them). After 2+ months of calls and emails they finally (and begrudingly) agreed to reimburse her the money that she got a quote on from another company. Tri-Pacific Termite Control (a.k.a. tptermite) is the best company in the region by far! I appreciated dealing with one firm to handle fumigation, termite remediation/repair, and carpentry. They were so professional! They identified and pointed out the deficiencies and the most effective repairs. They were patient and educated me in what was needed AND what was not needed/effective. For instance, they focused on protecting the house and did not try to sell me an ineffective land treatment package. They called ahead each time. They arrived on time each time. Inspection. Itemized detailed proposal. Fumigation. Repairs. Report. Done! The carpentry was done right. It was aesthetically matched to the home, primed, etc. Termite treatment and carpentry worked together! They communicated with each other and with me. With days of rain forecast, they kept on top of the weather and got in in-between storms to ensure we would be able to close escrow on time! They worked with the lender to ensure the lender understood what was done (far beyond what was on the termite report from another vendor provided by the seller) and got the termite clearance report in FAST!
