Mr. Mazzant yelled and actually screamed at me. He said I was a complainer who only"wanted something for nothing.". I told him I thought he'd want to know his work didn't hold up. He hung up on me. My husband recently passed away and I have more time now. Do I find a ladder and scrape the ceiling? Do I paint it? Our insurance came through on this project and i thought my nice house was fixed. Yes, the initial work looked great but I still can't believe how my complaint/ problem was handled.

Here's the scenario: A water pipe in my unheated attic burst and flooded a couple rooms in my house. Mazzant came in, tore out the ceiling, dried everything out, etc. During that process, the existing furnace in the attic died and had to be replaced. Insurance paid for everything, job was done after 4 weeks or so. Life went on. Now in December 2018, I'm no longer living there but my tenants call me up and say the furnace won't run anymore. The gas stove works, water heater works, but not the furnace. I call my usual HVAC guy and he said the install was done very poorly. I told him what happened before, then I asked him why he thinks the install was done poorly and he tells me it looks like a drywall guy did it. Basically, the HVAC guy meant to say it looks like the person who did the install didn't have the expertise to do it right. I ask him what needed to be done and he said the best thing to do would be to get parts and redo the install which would be thousands of dollars. I asked him what it'd cost to simply get the one part needed to make the furnace work and he said it's $500 but would rather not do a rush job. Fair enough. I go for a second opinion and same thing. The guy tells me the install was done improperly so the drainage doesn't happen properly, which causes condensation in the unit, which caused the control board to go bad, and that's why the furnace won't run. I ask him what could be done and he tells me my two options: 1) Replace just the control board for $500 but the part is on order which will take 14 days to arrive, not to mention an additional wait time for actual repairs. 2) Replace the whole thing for $4,200 and can be done in 3 days. Alternatively, he told me to find the original crew that did the work and see if there's any parts warranty on the unit. However, he felt it was unlikely because to have parts warranty, the technician would've had to register the furnace with the manufacturer... and he honestly felt that, "Anyone who does a job like this probably wouldn't have done so." I take his advice to contact the original crew and find out if there's any parts warranty. The original crew was Mazzant. I called them and basically, they're saying it's been 3 years since and there should've been regular maintenance on the furnace. And because there's been no maintenance, they won't do anything about it. In fact, Bob (the owner/president) yelled at me when I tried to explain 1) I don't recall having this conversation because I was under the impression that the insurance company was paying for everything, and 2) I was simply trying to look for the parts warranty. What's amusing is that he became very defensive because I hadn't even gotten to the point of asking them to do anything about the botched furnace install, one that's now going to cost me at least $500 and leaving my tenants in the cold for at least 2 more weeks because the parts are on order from the manufacturer! I told Bob Mazzant this: If he had AT THE VERY LEAST sent someone out to check it out and explained better options to me, I might've even hired him again to fix it for me. But instead, here I am on the Internet writing a bad review because he chose to get defensive and yell at me over the phone. He sounded nice enough to a potential customer, but boy try asking him about a past job and he blows up. That reaction tells me that I'm not the first one that's told him of botched jobs his crew did that became ticking time bombs... and I suspect that I won't be the last customer that he'll be yelling at in the future. With that we removed carpets, padding we did a small remodel in the kitchen which added up to some construction materials piled into our garage. I called these folks and discussed pricing and specific details on how much we had for disposal. They told me that when their crew arrived, they would look over what we had and discuss final pricing at that time. Once that was done we had the option of canceling the service or asking them to go ahead and proceed. We had one carpet that was about 16 ft by 30 + ft, they tore it into smaller sections so that it would fit more flatly in the truck. We had three bedrooms worth of carpeting, a hallway and the living room as well. They rolled it up nicely and fit it in the truck making best use of the space. After doing that, they loaded the remodeling debris and some packing boxes etc and did this all within an hour. Their pricing was reasonable. The two guys that were here were nice polite and efficient. I would definitely hire them again as needed.

We didn't even have to remove our curtains. While hanging, they rolled them up and placed them in bags. They arrived on time, prepped, sanded, vacuumed and put one coat of stain on. They returned the next morning for less than an hour, to put the second coat on. The fumes were very minimal, (and would have been even less or none if we'd used the water based stain.) Both men were very polite and professional, and Carlos mentioned if we had any issues to let him know. We couldn't be more pleased with both the work and the price! Also, the owner was very professional and helpful in setting up the service.

I'm sorry to have give a bad review but I tried so many time for GMP hard wood flooring to respond…read moreto my messages  and phone calls.  They did not allow the 2nd and 3rd coats of poly urethane  to dry in between coats which made the floor scratch very easily.  I even google about this for bona flooring stain and poly urethane and it says each coat needs 2-3 hours to dry.  GMP flooring did the second and 3 rd coat within less than 2 hours. As a result my floor has so many scratches. I asked them repeatedly to please come just look at my floor.  They ignored me and would not come.  I even said if you will not fix this or come see the floor that I will write a negative review and they still didn't care. If you read their ad about how they do such a top rate job and always put the customer first, it's a lie. I also asked them  to use a satin finish because everyone I talked said if you have pets and a high traffic floor you need at least 3 coats of a satin finish. They told me no I do not need a satin  finish because they are going to put 3 coats of a very low gloss  on and my floor will be very protected.  This was so not true I have hundreds of scratches and it keeps on scratching a month later.   Please do not use this company to refinish your flooring.  They are very dishonest. I talked to Carlos and sent a lot of messages and he clearly read them because they are marked as read. All Carlos focused on was that I was claiming they did not put three coats on. I told him that Im not saying they did not do three coats.  My complaint is  the way they applied the coats that caused them to weaken the protection.  Even if you paint a room you don't apply a second coat before the first coat can dry.  Are these guys professional? They should know this. If you  make a mistake you should do the right thing and fix it.  Very un happy with GMP hardwood flooring.   By the way I have never posted a review ever.  I'm just so frustrated that they won't even work with me on this.
