What a wonderful place to adopt. It was clean, the people were friendly and caring, the animals are very well taken care of. They make sure that the animals are vaccinated, healthy, and they teach you how to best care for the animals. They don't overcharge and all the money goes toward the care of the animals. I adopted a kitten and they knew all about her personality. I could also see that there was a trail outside where they take the dogs on walks. It was a very impressive place. I was recommended to go there so I drove from Minneapolis and I'm so glad I made the trip. I will recommend this place to everyone! Thank you!

This is a classy institution where all dogs and cats are treated with dignity and respect. If your looking for a pet come check this place out as there are plenty of different animals uo for adoption that suit all needs.

For years, I've gone into Tri County when I need to have a pet/animal fix. They have 1 to 3 cat rooms, depending upon how many cats they have on hand; 2-3 dog rooms, and a small animal room. You can ask the attendant to let you hold an animal, or spend time one-on-one with an animal in a visiting room to see if the animal's personality fits with you and your family. I've always found the staff friendly. Unfortunately, during a recent visit, the dog rooms could not be visited because of a virus. They also sell pet products, pet food, and more in the gift shop that you pass through on the way to the kennel area.

After another failed relationship, I decided to put my love and energy into something that would…read moreyield positive results. I was looking to help a homeless animal as a Valentine's Day present to myself. It seemed that the cats in Minneapolis and St. Paul were either maladjusted, or too tired from being bothered all day to show any personality or affection (kind of like the guys I've dated). My mother told me about PetFinder.com. She adopted her mobility assistance dog from the site. I did a search and decided to go look at a Siamese mix at this location. Unfortunately, the cat ended up having a serious health problem that had just been confirmed the day I drove out to get him. While waiting I had the chance to go into the shelter and meet the other kitties. All of them were very entertaining and had vivid personalities. You could tell they had been cared for well, but hadn't been over stimulated. I found them all to be much nicer than any of the cats in the Twin Cities' shelters. They didn't try and push me to take the sick cat, nor did they try and dump a second cat on me. I had ample time to visit with them all and made a decision on a seemingly mellow striped male. He is definitely not mellow, but he's one of the best cats I've ever had. He has a great personality and we cuddle every night. This relationship has lasted 1 year, 7 months, 19 days and counting. I have a good feeling it is going to break the record.

The best animal to ever bless our family came from this wonderful shelter. We are so thrilled and…read moreso pleased with their facility, staff, and animals. No doubt any other dog we took home that day would have turned out to be just as incredible. ADOPT people, ADOPT. Proof in itself that gems can be had for pennies on the dollar versus those who foolishly spend thousands on pure breeds and puppy mills.
