The rock face of the installed edge looked awful. There was an abundance of pinholes, likely due to too much air when mixing the concrete. We noticed and complained right away. We were told by the company it's perfectly normal. Looking at several online photos including the cantilever edge in the show room, no such pin holes were visible. So not only was the work poor, but there was dishonesty after the fact. Unfortunately this was something we had to just live with as there was no real fix. They offered to fill the air holes with concrete but couldn't guarantee a color match. Now 2 years later, there are rust stains everywhere despite us sealing it as directed 30-45 days after install. A friend who is a mason said this is due to the rebar being too close to the surface. The concrete absorbs moisture, the rebar rusts, the rust seaps to the surface. The pool decking looks awful.
