The Tri-Cities Airport is teeny tiny. Sometimes I love a small airport because it's so much easier to get in and get out quickly. Rental car parking lot is right outside and everything is all centralized into one space. Because it is small though, there aren't really any food options. They have a little newstand with quick bites, but nothing of substance, so highly advise getting some food ahead of time. There also aren't traditional gates so you do need to walk outside to a ramp up to your plane. read more

This is probably the only airport I've been to where you can arrive within the hour your flight leaves, and still make it on time. There are rarely lines at TSA, and the staff at this airport are always pleasant and efficient. It is also a very clean airport with easy access to rental cars, parking lot and a short drive out of the airport lot. Very nice little airport. TSA agents were super friendly and helpful as well as the Alaska Airlines agents at bag drop. I was super impressed that even though it's a small airport they had more than 1 person working the counter unlike most other small airports. This airport is easy in and easy out bathrooms are clean and I even saw a sharps containers for those that need that. The car rentals are all inside the airport as well. It took a little for baggage claim but that's per the usual for most airports. The walkways to the aircraft are all open from what I can see so wear warm clothes if flying in or out during the cold months read more

My wife and I flew from PSC early on a Tuesday morning in February. Neither of us had ever flown into/out of PSC and we were immediately impressed. The size of the airport allows you to drop your rental car off in the rental car lot and walk directly to the airport without a shuttle. We were flying Alaska and checked in at the kiosk and dropped our bags off. We were also able to drop the rental car keys off at the after hours key box and get through security in a matter of minutes. The airport appears to be very clean and taken care of. read more

cute little airport up on the plateau in eastern washington. coming in wasn't so horrible: get off the plane (maybe via jetway, maybe on the tarmac) and down the hall and stairs to luggage pickup and ground transportation. going out was pretty much the same thing but backwards with a stop by the nice people doing security so not too bad (make sure you get in the correct line for pre-check unless you enjoy being made a spectacle (or maybe it was just me and just today.)) got in a long hour before the scheduled departure which felt comfortable; time enough to drop the rental, check my bags, and puzzle over having a spot of breakfast or not... and a short walk to the gate to await my flight. plenty of seats, couple of desks, and plenty of seats so y'all can stay out of the way just like is suggested on the pre-boarding announcements (clowns...) facilities are clean and conveniently located near the gates with adequate means to keep track of one's luggage without much impediment to the business at hand. read more

Little airport with a big heart! I intentionally came in 30 mins before boarding (around noon nonetheless) and got through with enough time to grab a salad from the bar. The TSA team is very friendly and caring, which you don't get much of from other airports - I hope they're being paid well! The airport is kept up in great condition and is clean. I take a lot of late flights back to Tri Cities and I wish there were more available/active vending machines for a snack or drink. Still, this location sets the bar for other small airports! read more

The cleanest and easiest airport I've ever flown in and out of. You can park for cheap and walk right on up. Easiest pick-up as well and dare I say the nicest TSA security I've dealt with. They keep everything straightforward. Though the airport lacks in amenities it completely makes up for in efficiency and cleanliness. I never see garbage laying around or crumbs caked in the seats. Seatac is a garbage dump compared to this place. read more

Great little airport. Designed like some other PNW airports that are located in Alaska. The restaurant had an incredible soup and salad combo with many other choices and decent prices. The rental car agency was really flexible and accommodating (Avis). They have Avis and Budget. Be prepared to walk outside to get on your flight. read more

This airport is brand new looking, very small, easy to go through. Few food choices if you're hungry. If you were taking a morning flight, and need to check any luggage. I would definitely recommend you to go there at least one and a half hours before. Although a small airport they lack workers at both airline stations early mornings. I've had to wait 45+ minutes just to check a bag. It's usually just one gentleman who is super friendly. Hopefully they can hire him some help. I will say that I think the TSA here is very strange, not very friendly either. I travel quite frequently for work so I've been through quite a few airports. This one seems to always be surprised that people have TSA pre-check, although there is a separate line for it. Even with precheck - They still make me takeoff my jacket, for what reason I have no idea but I just do what they request. I also think that they're not very friendly, or they're just not happy with their work. But it's very minimal interaction, so I definitely wouldn't let it differ me from using the airport. read more

Flew in and out of this airport for the first time this past week and I must say this was one of the nicest and easiest mid-sized airports, accepting commercial size planes, that we have been to. Of course this is in comparison to the much larger airports I am used to frequenting for my intermittent travel needs. The layout is perfect and easy to traverse; ingress and egress to the airport was excellent; parking lot that's easily accessible; the interior and restrooms are clean and well maintained; TSA was a breeze with amicable employees (TSA has its own Yelp page, FYI); conveniently located car rental companies; and just about everything else I may have missed (I try NOT to buy food items in an airport so have no critique of that, albeit that should be a stand-alone review anyhow, if applicable, to ones adventure). I/we liked this airport for what it's worth (I mean it is just an airport). read more

They use outside ramps to enter and exit the airplane It was cold the day we arrived and left. Brrr. The other minor issue is the rental car setup. Small! Simple! Quick! Easy . this has been one of my easiest trips so far. I think this is the smallest airport I've ever been in. That said, things are easy to find, not crowded, easy to navigate, and the wait times are not ridiculous. My flight was affordable and less than 40 minutes from Seattle to Pasco from wheels up to wheels down. I think I spent about $160 on a round-trip flight. Good value. read more

Hands down one the most friendly and helpful FBO's I've been to. It's really a shame that the aviation museum is closed currently, but with such a wide selection of local wines..?? Wow, there are some major renovations going on here. The TSA security line has been upgraded to snake around a substantial area, just like a big city airport. The whole place has had a facelift. Except you still get the pleasure of walking outside to your plane (on Horizon flights). And you still get the pleasure of paying $9 a day for long term parking. However, there is a whole new area for waiting for your plane (once through security). Thumbs up on the new look. read more

For a small airport this is very nice. There are only five gates here. It is super easy to park here. It is also quite easy to return a rental car. Even long-term parking is a short walk. This airport is so small you can actually park in short term parking go inside and get a cart to drop off all of your luggage and then return to the short term parking to go return a rental car. The whole process will take like 10 minutes. Security is very efficient and friendlier than most airports I've been to. After several wineries we went to told us not to close up our wine boxes for TSA the airlines told us no we needed to close them up. We did not have packing tape but TSA gave us some packing tape to close them up. How nice was that! The security line wasn't bad at all but if you have TSA pre-check it's a breeze. There is really no need to get here 2 to 3 hours before hand like some larger airports. An hour to 90 minutes should suffice. The only downside for me is that there is not a whole lot of options for snacks. There is also no lounge which I'm quite spoiled with in larger airports. Flights seem to be from Delta, united, Alaska, and allegiant. Most flights seem to go to Seattle but there are some to San Francisco,Salt Lake City, and even Phoenix. Overall a very easy airport to get in and out of. read more

The Tri-Cities Airport is an efficient little airport that is easy to get into and out of. The flights were severely cut back during Covid but the volume is slowly returning. The concourse and restrooms are generally pretty clean. My only issue is with the trash and recycling receptacles. The three bins are labeled as waste/landfill, paper, and glass/plastic. These divisions make sense except that I watched the janitorial staff dump the contents of each receptacle into a single trash bin. I don't know if recycling is a virtue signal at the airport or if the contractor is not following protocols. Either way it seems like the recycling bins should go away if there is no intent to use them. read more

Nice little airport. Only 5 gates, its not large by any stretch. Looks to be recently renovated. There are plenty of plugs for recharging scattered throughout the airport and plenty of seating. Only one restaurant, bar, coffee place in the entire airport. Pretty easy to navigate through ticketing/security. TSA seems to have some peculiarities here...more stringent maybe? This review is for the lounge/restaurant not the Airport as a whole. Awful service! Sat down at the bar top, it was half full of patrons. The bartender on shift stood there and chatted with the server as I sat there patiently! He looked at me numerous times and still continued his very important chat about god knows what. Tiny little airport with only 5 gates and 2 bag carousels. Restrooms are clean. There is a sit down restaurant and 2 sandwich/gift shops after security. If you're arriving, there's a sandwich/gift shop outside of security too. Nothing fancy. Don't have to go over a mile to get to your gate. Anyone remember that TV show "Wings" that ran in the 90's? Well the Tri-Cities airport located in Pasco, WA could have been the inspiration for it! The rental car parking lot is all of about 5 steps from the front door. There are signs that say jot down your mileage and bring your keys in. No guy with a handheld scanner here. Just don't forget to drop the keys off at the desk inside (which is easy to do!) I walked up to the United Counter and the guy helping me looked more like a baggage handler than a counter clerk, but no matter. He was funny and personable (I'd like to see that happen at O' Hare!) and did the best he could to get a colleague of mine on the same flight. Security was a breeze even though there was only one lane. They check your ID before you go through the metal detector so keep your ID handy. I also had a lovely conversation with the TSA person on how she likes her job (good thing there were no other people in line!) It's hard to get lost as there are only 5 gates in the place and they all are in the same area. A little confusing when they are announcing flights but pretty easy to walk outside and get on your plane. There is one small sundry shop by the gates that also sells espressos and other beverages and small snacks and microwaveable food (I was told this is a recent addition) The only downside? There was a restaurant in the main area that needed to fix it's exhaust system. The entire place smelled like grease and I can still smell it in my clothes as I write this. Nice to travel every once in awhile where there is little hassle and you are reminded of a simpler time when more airports were like this. Then my plane touched down in the cacophony that is the Denver airport, and I was reminded of how far air travel has come. Or not. read more

This airport is undermajor construction right now. [PROS] TSA PRE CHECK: They don't have a separate line for pre check but they do give you a laminated paper stating that you are, which means you don't have to remove shoes or liquids. SMALL: I like small airports because it isn't stressful: short line (no lines when I was there), TSA securities were actually friendly. FILTERED WATER: Need I say more?! [CONS] INFO PHONE NOT WORKING: In the baggage claim area, there is a large screen which lists hotels with numbers next to them. Below the screen is a phone. We tried dialing the corresponding number with the hotel we were staying at but it didn't work. They also had one phone available. LIMITED TAXI: I didn't use the taxi but from what I saw, they didn't have that many taxi's available. I would call ahead, that way, they are there when you arrive. This may also be due to the construction but it seemed like the people waiting at the taxi stand didn't have any roof over their heads. It was 90 degrees out and sunny when I had visited the Tri-Cities. read more

When the flights returning to Walla Walla require an overnight stay in Seattle, we are forced to fly out of the Tri-Cities airport. I have nothing against this airport but it requires a one hour drive to get there and parking is $9 per day. Our alternative is the Walla Walla airport, which is a fifteen minute drive and free parking. The only benefit is the choices that this airport offers. You can fly directly to Salt Lake City, Denver, Las Vegas, Phoenix Seattle and Portland on a variety of airlines. This allows for a number of choices when returning, even if you have to return at 11:59 p.m. The amenities are sparse, although they do have a restaurant, a bar, a shop and a convenience store. You can rent a car with a few rental company choices. There is free Wi-Fi. They are renovating the baggage claim area (beginning of April 2015). read more

I see more airport then some people see restaurants. I love the Pasco airport it is immaculately clean all employees of airlines restaurants and security are friendly and professional. The bathrooms are always stocked and very clean. In many ways I wish I could spend more time in the airport as it appears to have a wonderful bar and restaurant. Curbside pick up is always easy here in the baggage carousel is very close to the pick up location as well. read more

Ah the benefits of living in the boonies---just got through security at the airport (no one was in line), and it was as hassle-free as can be. I clearly got here waaay to early. Got here about 70min before my flight & I also checked luggage--it all went hella fast. So, now I wait and kill time (luckily, free wifi is available), and wonder why I have duct tape residue on my wrists (had a rough night---seems like I never fail to have too much fun on the night before travel days!) Whoops, looks like my plane's here--crossing my fingers in the hopes I get a whole row to myself so I can sleep, sleep, sleep! read more
