With delicious food, friendly service, big portions, and reasonable prices, Trezeros is a great place to enjoy fresh, made from scratch Italian food in a comfortable setting. They have many great meat, appetizer, drink, pasta, and sandwich options, so there's something for everyone to enjoy here. Here are my thoughts on the different items I tried: Bread with sundried tomato: Hearty, but not too thick with a delicious thin and crisp skin. I liked the mix of the olive oil and sundried tomato over the typical options offered with balsamic vinegar or parmesan cheese as this added a nice aroma and sweetness almost like deconstructed foccacia. Angus burger: Nice seasoning on the burger although it really lacked any char. The crispy bacon, delicious crispy onion strings, and salty aged cheddar provided nice contrast to the fresh crispy vegetables and fluffy bun. Simple and delicious. Fish and chips: The super crispy batter perfectly sealed the juices of the cod and overall was surprisingly not too salty. The fries were freshly but with a very strong potato aroma, although it was a bit more soft than it was crispy. Gnocchi: Super soft and slightly chewy dumplings, these don't quite melt in your mouth but definitely have a very pleasant mouthfeel. The slow braised pork ragu had very tender and juicy meat with a nice complex sauce. Shrimp scampi pasta: The mix of garlic and white wine was very bold in this dish. This helped to flavor the fresh and chewy spaghetti which was mixed with a generous amount of large shrimp. Chicken parmesan: Served with an enormous piece of chicken that was large enough to split into 2 meals. This was topped with a generous amount of mozzarella and a light, bright, and slightly sweet marinara sauce. My only real criticism here is that the breading could've been a bit more crunchy and that it would've been a bit nicer to have some more moisture in the noodles. Overall, delicious and affordable. This restaurant definitely rivals many of the fine Italian restaurants around Chicagoland. It's worth a visit if you live in the area or are looking for a special meal. read more

Our first time going here and we were pleasantly surprised. We did not order any appetizers because it was late and we were all hangry. The dishes ordered were, braciolo, bolognese, carbonara, pork chop. All the dishes were fantastic. I know the carbonara used a 5 minute egg but part of the egg was hard boiled and the rest was soft to at least coat 1/2 of the pasta. The person who ate the giant pork chop literally cleaned their plate, same with the bolognese. It was so Good we were gonna go back the week after. Our waiter was a nice man who was on Point with his service. We also had spumoni. Affagado, flourless choc cake and a lava cake. Everybody was happy with their desert. Even the lady that had the lava cake but it had no lava. The one thing I was very disappointed in was our drinks from the bar. I do believe they were the worst drinks I have ever ordered. I ordered a capuchino after dinner and it was cold I told the waitress she took it back added a shot of expresso and brought it back cold again If a restaurant does not know how to make a cappuccino you shouldn't offer it on the menu. Have lived in Mt Prospect for 3 years and have driven by uncountable number of times. Finally stoped and ate there. Wife and I sat at the bar very nice atmosphere we each had a cocktail and she had chicken parmigiana and I had chicken Marseilles both were very good and plenty of food. We both took home tomorrow's dinner. Service was very good, I believe it was the owner walking around talking to customers, always good to see. We will definitely be going back. read more

I have eaten here several times. I was there last night. I had the ciopinni. The food was excellent. The seafood especially the clams were amazing. It was sitting on a bed of homemade pasta with a. Wry flavor dull red sauce that had a nice seafood flavor to it. The teramaso for dessert was also fantastic. Very light and creamy. I would give this 5 stars if it wasn't for the service. I could not get my drink refilled which cost the restaurant at least two drinks. Also my capucino arrived cold. Something was wrong with my wedge salad that made me sick. My son was fine afterwards. This is not my first visit to Trezeros but I would hesitate to eat here again. We wanted to support local business orders, so we thought we would try Trzerios. We have not been there in several months. We ordered the food to go, but dining in was an option. We started with the aracini and was pleasantly surprised the appetizer was comprised of three rice balls. The rice was moist and the breading was crunchy but not greasy. The tomoto sauce was fair, but nothing special. I had the small chopped salad and it was fresh and a good portion. My daughter had the margarita pizza. The pizza was larger than expected, The cheese was fresh and the fresh basil added just the right amount of herbs. Overall, we enjoyed everything we ordered. I've been coming to this building for a long time because it used to be Jake's pizza. (Jake's was a pizza place with a bar and lots of regulars.) Trezeros has totally transformed this place so much so that I don't even remember exactly how it was laid out before. It's now classy, upscale and definitely a nice place to bring anyone. We went with our friends and had a very good meal. Tahara was our server and she did a great job. All in all it was an enjoyable time. I didn't give it 5 stars only because my idea of a 5 star Italian restaurant is one with thick red sauces, meat lasagna, cheeses, breads, and red wines like Toscana or Maggiano's. Where you eat as much as you can, bring home leftovers and don't have room for dessert. At Trezeros I ate all my spaghetti and the one big meatball it came with and still had room for dessert. Fortunately I did because they brought out a piece of carrot cake as big as Rhode Island. We all shared it and It was wonderful! Not to take anything away from Trezeros. I'd go back in a heart beat. I just know when I do I will leave pleasantly satisfied versus stuffed to the point where I have to loosen my belt because I ate too much (which happens everytime I leave a 5 star Italian restaurant.) Well I gave it a second try and I was disappointed yet again. -With my first experience the service was ok it was a little slower than I would have liked but it was a busy night. I ordered the Bison Burger medium rare no bun. The burger came out well done and I was too hungry to send it back, the only good thing is it had good flavor. -Second experience there was only one waitress for the entire restaurant and it was busy. The bartender and hostess had to come and help out that's how bad it was. We ordered the Calamari which was good but over cooked so it was very gummy. For dinner I got the chopped salad with grilled shrimp. The shrimp was and extra $6 and it only came with ***6 shrimp so I literally paid $1 per shrimp are you freaking kidding me. Oh and not to mention they were so over cooked they tasted awful. The chopped salad is supposed to come with bacon dried cranberries and goat cheese. It barely had bacon and the goat cheese was almost non existent not to mention the dressing was also scares so I paid 15 dollars for mostly greens. I also ordered a cocktail before the appetizer and it did not come to the table till I was half way through my salad. My husband got the chicken Marsala which was so bland he could barely eat it. Also they did not pan fry it right so the breading was falling off the chicken and the sauce tasted like straight flour!!!It was awful!!! They only plus I have about this place is that the bread and sun dried tomato olive oil that they give is very good and the red wine on tap is served at the right temp. This is not your grandparent's neighborhood Italian joint. The spacious and contemporary interior does not show a hint of ethnicity apart from what's on the menu. Only the exterior brick and a musty odor inside betray the building's long history. The clever name (a play on the address--three-zero-two) is a clue of what's to come. Our group was seated in a dining area that can accommodate overflow crowds or private banquets. It's separated from the main dining room by the bar. Happy Hour was still in full swing and we had the option of ordering from the HH menu and/or the regular dinner menu. The former is a tremendous value--full-size portions of apps and pizza for considerably less than the dinner menu prices. Plus daily drink specials. Warm artisanal bread was even more delectable with sun-dried tomato bathed in olive oil spooned on. The calamari, Italian beef egg rolls, and the day's "market inspired" soup (Italian bean) were excellent. We also loved Trezero's wedge salad; the small version of this steakhouse classic was ample for two. Such a promising buildup heightened our expectations for the entrees, straightforward interpretations of Italian classics with an update or two. Most entrees include a side dish and portions are very generous. The salmon oreganata, chicken parmesan, veal saltimbocca, fettucine carbonara, and cioppino received enthusiastic thumbs-up. The overly salty gnocchi (with pork ragu) was inedible and was sent back to the kitchen. An Alfredo-like white wine sauce clung to the spaghetti underlying the shrimp scampi; this dish would have worked better if the pasta were instead sautéed in olive oil + garlic. Oddly enough, of three individual "sausage e pepe" pizzas ordered, one looked and tasted different than the others. Our cheerful servers were there when you needed something, but there were coordination glitches. Server #1 set a couple dessert menus on the table. Barely two minutes later, server #2 came to collect empty dishes and whisked those menus away. Spumoni (ask for it, it's not on the menu) arrived promptly, but inexplicably it took 20 minutes for a lemon sorbetto to arrive. read more

This restaurant is a gem!, and for many reasons. First off they are extremely organized and pleasant to deal with, from walking in the door to being seated. There wait and bar tending staff is top notch! The accuracy and delivery of our meal and drinks is what you would expect from a Very high end restaurant. The food quality is great. Visited for the first time last night for dinner-what a great dining experience: we ordered the fried calamari which was slightly rubbery, but still tasty. I ordered the filet trio, which were cooked just right for me, medium, and the seasonal veggies were seasoned and cooked just right. Topped it off with sea salt caramel gelato, which was heavenly!! I also ordered cappuccino, which was the ONLY thing I did not like of the meal: not strong enough and the foam faded too quickly and was not very flavorful. Dinner here was a great experience. We made reservations via Yelp and we were seated on time. The look and feel of the place is very warm and inviting. Service was also great and was given a good run down when we asked for some options on the menu. They have a pretty solid drink list and the have wines on tap. I've been to a few places that have tap wine and I enjoy it. The wine stays fresher longer and the reds and whites are poured at the right temperature which is key for me. I'm a bit of a wino. At the beginning of the meal we were served warm fresh baguette with an olive oil and roasted tomato dipping plate. That was on point...I could have ate that all night. Our app was the Bang Shrimp which was Bangin'... flash fried with a lite coating and a Sriracha mayo. You gotta try this!!! Ok on to the main meal... I decided to go with the lobster ravioli which was out of this world. It was a good portion and cooked perfectly al dente. The vodka sauce with tarragon was not too heavy and creamy. It is a must try! For dessert I opted for an after dinner drink which was a chocolate martini and one word to describe it would be "smooth". Major disappointment. Been there before and recommended to others. Won't be recommending after tonight. Tonight my husband made reservations for our wedding anniversary and noted that when making the reservation. Anniversary was not acknowledged. No biggie. We had to flag someone down to get water 15-20 minutes after being seated with no servers greeting us. Waiter never introduced himself, again no biggie but expected as standard. We had to ask for silverware and plates when the appetizer arrived. The wine I ordered to have with my dinner arrived about 15 minutes after my dinner. Maybe a moot point since my medium well steak was bright pink and I couldn't eat it. When I told the waiter it wasn't cooked appropriately he asked if I wanted a to go box. My dog had a good dinner tonight . We ordered desert and said we were splitting it but it arrived with 1 spoon. It's a pretty nice spot with a good selection of drinks (not a big selection of beers but they cover it well enough). Great menu, though not a vegetarian friendly in some of it. The food was definitely good, but not great. My steak was cooked perfect, though my lobster was a bit dried out. A couple other things I tried were good, but nothing amazing. Service was good, not amazing. I believe we waited 30 minutes or more for our reservation table to be ready, which would have bothered me if we were not on an easy going night out. I don't know that I'd tell anyone to specifically not go here, but it depends on what you are looking for. For some great tasting Italian in an intimate setting, I'd go to Giacomo's over here for sure. but for a semi large group in a more open environment, this place is ok. After passing this restaurant many times, I finally had the opportunity to give it a try. The staff is friendly and the dining room is modern but comfortable. Most importantly the food is delicious. Warm bread with olive oil and sun dried tomatoes were provided while we waited for our order. My boyfriend had the small wedge salad and the cod puttanesca and I had the tenderloin sandwich. The small wedge salad could be a main dish for some people and while I didn't see it, I'm sure the large version is a main dish. The salad was the usual wedge of iceberg lettuce topped with bacon, tomato, and blue cheese dressing. Trezeros tops theirs with onion strings. The cod was tasty as was the tenderloin sandwich. The sandwich bread has a horseradish spread and cherry peppers top the meat. The sandwich has kick, but isn't overly spicy. Overall we enjoyed our experience and will return. The only downside to our visit was the parking. We found nearby parking but the restaurant also wasn't filled to capacity. If it was parking would likely have been harder to find as their parking lot is very small. read more
