We had an enjoyable experience, but the service was slow, I think the waitress apologized 4 times. We were ignored for an unacceptable amount of time before someone came to see if we might want a cocktail. It really wasn't her fault, she was very pleasant but they needed another person. We had 5$ margaritas which were nice. The crusty bread olive oil and sundried tomatoes were very good! I had a wedge salad and my wife a fresh salad of greens salami and dressing. They were good in an average way. I had lasagna, which was good. My wife had chicken vesuvio which was not what I'd call vesuvio. Vesuvio requires roasted browned bone in chicken with lemon, olive oil wine garlic carrot, peas and rosemary with golden potato wedges. What was presented was plain boneless unseasoned unbrowned breasts baked in a bland creamy sauce with peas, carrots and sparse on potatoes which were plain. Our experience would have been better if the service had been better. They needed one more person on staff. The food wasn't bad at all but needs more development. It seemed like a bar which is trying to be an Italian restaurant but can't decide. The atmosphere was nice. I'd try it again and would hope the service is better. read more

Love the bar seats. Good cheese plate, meatball, gnocchi and lobster ravioli. The other dishes that we have tried were ok. Atmosphere is comfortable and service at the bar is pretty good. We will go back again - good addition to the area to add another option. read more

Trezeros has become a top destination of mine -- and it just might be my favorite. I am part Italian, so my standards around Italian food are high. Add to that many years residing in Chicago, dining at the best of the best -- Rosebud, Volare, Mart Anthony's, Cafe Francesca, etc., etc. -- I can say this could rank as the best of them all. Red sauce pasta dishes and meatballs are right in my wheelhouse and are perfect. In addition, seafood, vegetables, appetizers, and side dishes are all excellent. Steaks look good too. The atmosphere is calm, classy, comely and casual, not cold. Yet it is squeaky clean and orderly ... subdued pastel colors, wood grains and natural materials add to the calming sense of class. It also features flat screens and a good blend of music, neither of which are intrusive. The staff is friendly and customer-focused. And the pricing represents an extraordinary value, especially given the outstanding quality of the food. The have a good selection of microbrews, wines (some on tap), and spirits. Do yourself a favor and discover this gem on Northwest Highway in Mount Prospect ASAP. read more

If you haven't tried Trezerros, you must! The atmosphere is wonderful, the service was outstanding, and the food was phenomenal! They start you out with delicious, hot Italian bread and oil with sundried tomatoes. Really good! My husband and I split a wedge salad with chunks of bleu cheese and homemade thin onion strings. Then I had Chicken Picatta with capers and spaghetti. Wow was that excellent! My husband had the Filet Trio. Three filet medallions of beef, horseradish, garlic, and black and bleu. That dish came with delicious potatoes and grilled vegetables. Unbelievable! The portions are large and you will take leftovers home. The drinks were great as well. To finish a perfect meal, we had a Sea Salt Caramel Apple Crisp to die for! The best part of our visit is the personal touch that owners Pat and his wife Julie give. They will welcome you like family and make you feel like you are a guest in their home! Excellent, local, friendly, neighborhood restaurant you should try! read more

This is the second time we have been to Trezeros and not been disappointed. Shrimp appetizer was wonderful and enough for sharing. One of our friends was so happy with the pork chop ,he wants to come back and try all the menu items. I have been telling all my friends this is a gem! read more

Visited this modern Italian kitchen for a family get-together and enjoyed a wonderful meal. Our group of nine shared the meatball appetizer, the calamari, and the special-for-St. Patrick's-Day reuben egg roll appetizer. We also loved the fresh Italian bread with sun-dried tomato olive oil. My swordfish entree was great - a hearty piece of fish with spinach, beans and more sun-dried tomatoes. My kids enjoyed the gnocchi and the penne ala vodka, and my husband loved the lamb shank. Service was efficient and helpful when selecting appetizers for a large group. The decor is clean and modern in the main dining room, and the bar has plenty of big screens and a good beer and wine selection. Looking forward to returning soon! read more

What a great addition to the area dining scene! Sat in the bar area with all the big screen tvs so my husband was happy - hawks were playing and won! - and room had a nice vibe to it. Our waitress was great and our food was really good - pasta, pizza and salads, esp Caesar salad with great dressing , and good beer selection! Also appreciate the choice of small/large portions on many items....hate huge plates and huge prices! Will be back, nice upgrade to the former jakes space!!! read more

The food was very tasty and nicely presented! It has a more modern Italian feel rather than a traditional one, also in the the way the food is made, but still very good. I wish they had tiramisu on the desert menu though. Drinks were also very good. read more

Fabulous dinner with friends. Food was delicious & we left nothing for a take home bag! Lamb shank, seafood risotto & pecan crusted halibut we awesome! Overall experience was wonderful! read more

This is a beautiful place and we have had drinks and appetizers here a few times. So we were looking forward to enjoying New Year's Eve dinner here. Unfortunately the evening was a disaster. First, the food - Chicken Marsala was so dry and tough and chewy - I had to drink water to swallow it. The halibut was good, however, although the vegetables were served "crunchy." Possibly the worst part of the evening was that we sat for 15 minutes before our waitress came, and waited another 15 minutes before our tap wine was served. (Our appetizer came before we had anything to drink.) I have a few other nitpicks but I think it is suffice as to say that the evening was a huge disappointment. The 2 stars are strictly for the past experiences we've enjoyed while sitting at the bar. read more

Great ambience, great variety on the menu from fun appetizers to pizza, pasta, steak and fish. Our party of 4 had an arrancini, pasta fagioli soup, asparagus salad (huge!!), Cod with olives and capers, and pork (which was big enough for 2 people!) Our waiter was pleasant and conscientious, giving us, perhaps, too much time to visit before taking our order. But, once we ordered, everything, arrived in a timely manner. The owner came by every table to check on our satisfaction, which is always positive. We didn't try any pizza or dessert, but feel like we sampled a good variety with no complaints from any of us! We will be back, and would recommend Trezeros to anyone. Yay!! For another lovely restaurant, MP!! read more

Get the Meatball appetizer...YUM!!! Don't skip dessert...get the canolli dip!!!

We had a wonderful dinner tonight! The wedge salad was the best I've ever had and the lobster ravioli and pizza were fantastic!!

Food was very good. Gnocchi some of the best I have had. Bread to start was fantastic!! Very generous portions at a fair price.

I really can't say enough nice things about this place. Whether its the food or the staff, I've never been disappointed. I usually come with a group of 4 or larger. We are always greeted with a smile and accommodated no matter what requests we make. They do a great job providing a relaxing and causal environment even for larger groups. The chicken piccata, chicken marsala, and the seafood appetizer are my favorites but the pizzas are equally as good. Additionally, they are always changing it up with the specials, which adds a nice variety. As for the drinks, their cocktails are outstanding. Jack the bartender takes pride in his craft and always goes the extra mile. Their selection of beers pairs well with any meal and the wine selection perfect for the aficionado of the group. I definitely recommend this place to any diner. The friendly atmosphere, excellent food, and superb staff truly makes this a tremendous restaurant for any occasion. read more

Not sure what the decor is supposed to be.They have tv's all over like a sports but they also have a huge piano stuck a corner . Decor is very stark and cold. Food was ok, small portions. We ordered a large Julie Salad as the waiter indicated it would feed 2 barely was enough for 1. Not a fan of the much hearlded Beef Won Tons, they had a slightly sour taste that I did not like. Calamari Frita was very good , but the Margherita pizza was a let down, should have been cooked a little more. Might go back to try the pasta as it is right in the neighborhood. read more

Very nice dining experience. Great neighborhood place with excellent food and service. Fun atmosphere. Reasonable prices.

My wife and I met another couple here for dinner on Friday. I am a very picky eater and was a little leery going to some place I wasn't familiar with. I was very happy that I did. We started with two appetizers, a Cheese Plate and Italian Beef Won Tons. The Beef Won Tons were so good that we ordered another one. The main courses came and all were delicious as well. I ordered the Parmesan Crusted Chicken and had to take half of it home. My wife ordered the Carrot Cake for desert loved it. The service was excellent and the owner even came by a couple of times to check on us. Trezeros is definitely a place that I will go back to. read more

Really good food. Food is not over priced but drinks are. House wine was $9.00 a glass. Little high. But very happy with the food gnocc was very good as was my chicken marsela. read more

We were really excited based on the previous reviews of this restaurant. The building itself is warm and cozy, and the atmosphere was great. When we arrived we were offered warm bread that came with olive oil with a sun died tomato pesto. It was a great start. I would have preferred some parmesan to go with the dipping oil though. We started with the calamari. While the meat was cooked nicely, it was heavily breaded with a bland mixture. It was certainly edible, but lacked any distinction or creativity. I ordered the Julie's salad and it was great. It had a wonderful balsamic vinaigrette dressing, blue cheese, and candied walnuts. My wife ordered the pasta e fagioli soup and remarked it was very bland, even after adding salt and pepper. We then chose to split the lobster ravioli. They thoughtfully split it into 2 bowls for us. We each received 4 ravioli...$21 for 8 ravioli? While the dish was terrific with a wonderful flavor including a delicious creamy marinara sauce, we were hoping for a little more food for $21. We had a nice experience, but honestly wouldn't recommend it, based on the food we received, even though it's 4 blocks from our house. read more

This was my 2nd time coming here. The first time we came we had bad service from the bartender but the pizza was very good! The owner is VERY friendly and nice which makes me feel bad for writing this. I came in again last night and this time the service was great. Very nice and professional service. But, the pasta was probably the worst I've ever had in my life. I got the spaghetti with meatball and I honestly only took a few bites. But, I came in with a gift card so I wasn't going to complain or say anything. The meatball was EXTREMELY dry and had no flavor at all. I didn't know you can mess up spaghetti but apparently you can. I mean, it had no flavor at all, and there was barely any sauce on it, and what was on it was a watery, bland, boring pasta sauce. Also, this was $15, all of the pasta and most of the menu is WAY OVERPRICED for a local place. I'm only giving it 2 stars because the owner seemed very nice. I'll definitely never come here again. read more
