I visited Tres Amigos on a Saturday night. No wait, but there were plenty of people there. I ordered the Bourbon-Rita to drink- it was amazing! Their drink menu was fun and different. We saw one in a pineapple and several drinks came to the tables with a sparkler show! The menu was large and had the regular Mexican food items, but they also had taquitos and street tacos which I don't see on other Mexican food menus often. I got the chicken street tacos- 3 tacos with a side of rice. Great portion size & great flavor! The ambiance was fun especially with the cool drinks. Storefront is very tidy and interior was spotless. Seated immediately. Service was incredibly helpful and attentive. The bar had more bottles of buffalo trace than I've ever seen at a Mexican store. Not only do they have the normal margaritas but they also make them with bourbon. Guess that makes sense since the name of this store is 'Tres Amigos Bourbon & Tequila. Food was okay. Tres Amigos was delicious! The staff was very friendly and the service was great. The restaurant was a fun environment and was tidy. The queso cheese was sooooo good! Went around 6pm on Sunday, not too busy but also not empty! Immediately seated and drink orders taken. Chips and salsa is very good! The salsa is fresh and not too chunky/not too watery. Husband ordered chicken fajitas and I did the fajita nachos with steak. We both enjoyed our meals! The meat was very favorable. I also love that they have red peppers in their fajitas since those out my favorite! Portions were very large. We both went home with leftovers! We would definitely eat here again. And again. The decor is a little mixed. Some parts of "fancier" while others are your stand Mexican restaurant decor. But it was very clean and that's all I care about! read more

This is an excellent Mexican restaurant in Monroe, Ohio! I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant! The atmosphere is eclectic, yet , reserved, and the moment you walk I inside, you feel like you are in the right spot, awaiting something worthwhile! The margaritas were delicately frozen and I got the strawberry lime mix, but not too strong, the chips & salsa were good, and satisfying to the palate, and the enchiladas verde with refried beans and Spanish rice selection was mouthwatering. All of my friends enjoyed their meals as well! My family also love eating here. Do I want to eat at Tres Amigos? The answer will always be YES! Although they just opened we have eaten here several times and will continue to keep going back! We have had outstanding service and food each time. When you sit down, each person receives their own small dish of salsa, which is amazing because some of us like to put hot sauce in it and some of us like it mild so we are able to customize it to our liking. The salsa by itself is very flavorful, and the chips are very fresh. The queso is a good purchase if you like options. Everyone there has been extremely nice and helpful and hard-working. I love the quesadilla tapatio it combines all of my favorite flavors. When I ordered extra sour cream (I like a lot!) the waitress was sure to tell me that it was included in the dish, so I didn't order it if I didn't need extra. The drinks are muy bueno and muy strong! Only one margarita needed by this marg loving momma! My husband orders the fajitas burrito, the kids like arroz con pollo and enchiladas. My only critique is that the tables feel a bit small. It's fine for just a couple of us for dinner but I would not want to be sandwiched between two people at all. Only served half of the meal, had to wait 5 minutes for the beans and rice to arrive and another 3 minutes for the torillas so I could begin my meal. not acceptable. Had to askfor water 4 times to get one glass and then for refills you might as well forget it It took several minutes for the water to arrive. So, to say the service team was inadequate, is inadequate. Service was terrible but the place was busy and emptied out quickly as our meal progressed. Ambiance, 3-4 tv s to watch if your dining companion is boring or unable to carry on a conversation. Very noisy and staff seem to be very disorganized or confused as to their responsibilities. Place is well appointed and clean. However the parking is a mess. Very small lot unable to handle the business traffic to many, as we were, were relegated to curbside parking and walking through the wet grass to the entrance, Again, unacceptable. This Springboro restaurant appears either not ready to do business or incapable of knowing how to run a business. Would not return based on this experience. Food was barely above average. I had the enchiladas aztecas and a top shelf margarita, and my wife had camarones al mojo de ajo. She thought the shrimp were a little over cooked, But my dish was excellent! The corn tortillas in the enchiladas tasted like they were made fresh. The salsa they served with chips also tasted fresh, and was very good.
