I've lived at a lot of places over the years, and I mean, a lot, in many states and a couple foreign countries. I write for living and have also been editor for a few magazines. The apartment homes are solidly built, low rises with pretty views and sometimes courtyards out the front. The clubhouse is really great. 24/7 gym, pool and real pool tables. The apartments are secure in separate enclosed buildings and the neighborhood is really nice. The best part for me, though is the management. Josh and Sheena go out of their way to help every resident. They have just the right type of dispositions for this business. I'm also paying $500 less than my previous place in Scottsdale. Please read before renting out from this place! 08/8/2024 I've been a resident here at the Trend at 51st for a few years now and let me tell you the good and the bad things I've encountered from this place. Let's start off with a good; -The rooftop pool has stunning views overlooking the mountains, as well as the city Thats pretty much about it in my opinion. Now let's go with the bad; -Homelessness is a real issue here, since it's neighboring a park, the homeless people tend to be seen digging through the trash in the parking garage, and don't be surprised if you catch them sleeping in the stairwells or clubhouse. YES I SAID CLUBHOUSE. Photo below ! -For the amount that you pay, the inconvenience of having to use keys Instead of fobs are real pain in the ****. Especially when half of the keyholes on the apartment complex are so hard to turn. I've had to have my key replaced multiple times because of the keyholes. -Of course, all the reviews you've read about car break-ins are real because I've had my car broken into multiple times. It doesn't matter if you park outside where I had an attempt catalytic converter theft or on a reserved parking spot on the fourth floor parking garage where I had my car glass shattered and personal items taken. I've brought it up to management but they have done nothing to fix the issues. You have been warned. -If you need maintenance done, you may need to report it multiple times like I did or else no one will notice and you're left with a leaking sink for 4 days. -During hard rain, my windows had a seal leaks that caused my carpet to literally be soaked. Issue not fixed. -Also the smell of the garbage areas on all the buildings are horrendous! Not cleaned often so you'll probably get a whiff of it on your tour. -the gym is definitely not a selling factor. Most of the equipment are malfunctioning and or broken. peak16, the highland, brix warehouse, pearl Biltmore has better options. Sorry to be a Karen but this place needs to address the issues that been happening for years. It was my fault I didn't take precautions and read the reviews. Don't be fooled by the pool they try so hard to sell you on. How often must you use it to bypass all the negatives of this place? The location of the building is terrible. If you rent here do not rent a unit that faces 16th street or Georgia ave. You will regret it. I was even told georgia was a small street so it's quiet. I specifically asked about sound and they neglected to tell me how frickin loud it is at this complex!!! Because there are so many businesses on these streets, the garbage and recycling trucks come to at least one of these businesses every day, Monday through Friday, and you will not get good sleep. I wear earplugs and even with earplugs, through the closed windows, I can feel the vibration of these garbage and recycling trucks banging their dumps against the truck multiple times per load, all the while beeping nonstop and flashing their lights. Its the worst when you are on the lower 2 floor because its only amplified. Do yourself a favor and get a higher floor. The highest possible. I do not suggest floor 1 or 2. The trend tries hard to sell you ground floor units. Do not take those! They are the absolute loudest and the vibrations of these trucks banging against the garbage and recycling boxes is the strongest on the ground floor! All this commotion takes places between 3am and 7am, almost every single weekday. Must these garbage and recycling trucks really come at the most inconvenient times while knowing there's a residential apartment complex right across the street? Good luck living here and feeling great every day. There's nothing you can do and the trend 51 does not mention this at all! The walls are so thin that I can hear my upstairs neighbor using their vibrator all all random hours of the night. I can feel the vibrations of it as if that girl was laying next to me in bed! You can hear when someone talks on the phone or has sex next door to you or if you just happen to walk by their door. It's embarrassing to have your whole conversation open for anyone to hear. People are also inconsiderate here talking in hallways and it sounds like they are inside your apartment! I can hear someones annoying untrained dog barking all day and they live 3 units away from mine! The walls are so thin I'm surprised none of my stuff is falling to the floor below me. Also your neighbor will hate you if you have a surround sound TV setup. I can hear when my neighbors flush their toilet. When they are washing their clothes. Where in the apartment above me they are currently at because the floors creak so much. The sound is just like you're all living together in one giant room. Also with the huge amount of businesses, you would think there would be security guards walking around. There are NONE! the parking garage is open to anyone. Even non residents can park inside with no security guards to watch. The parking gate is often left wide open without needing a clicker and it's just not the safest parking garage. You cannot see the lines in the parking structure because it's so dark and because of the random people parking inside you will get your car dented and there's nothing you can do. I've seen shattered glass on the floor probably because some homeless person broke into a vehicle. Why else is there so much broke glass there? This is not a safe complex. I moved here thinking it's a good location and the units look decent but it's really not worth the hassle of these trucks. If you must move into this building, do yourself a big favor and get one that faces away from any of the streets! read more

The apartments are beautiful & nice however... there are HUGE cockroaches in the hallways & stairwells. The garage easily is accessible to anyone, same with your patio. There are many homeless people in the area. My car got broken into, like SMASHED my windows in with a massive rock that damaged my interior. It was parked IN the parking garage where you pay for reserve parking. This happened between the hours of 9pm-5:40am. Who knows how long at night my car was like that so don't rely on security or the safety of there being cameras. Clearly they're never around and the cameras don't see anything. Very thin walls, people will steal your patio furniture because anyone can walk onto the property. Big windows look great but we live in AZ so the sun just makes your apartment SO HOT. Nice thing is that the pool is on the rooftop with an amazing view. read more

I don't even know where to start but my experience living here was HORRIBLEEE . From the moment I moved in it looked as if they didn't even care what the apartment looked like to move into. I had huge stains on the floor, rusty shower rod for the curtains. I had roaches in beginning of my stay. Literally my first day moving in I had no hot water. I moved in on the 1st of September 2023. I did not get any hot water basically until almost a month later!! I will have pictures of my maintenance request and not only did I email them so much and put many work orders in, I called and was told by Joshua and Anthony that this issue would be resolved and they never listened. I was given two keys to two other apartments and told to shower there.. that is literally disgusting and the most uncomfortable experience ever and to top it off they never asked for the keys back which who knows if I had keys to apartments that people were living in. I was never taken serious and that goes against the fair housing act and I wish I was or to be compensated for that. Not only that, there was so many homeless stealing from my patio area (I was on the first floor) stealing from my bfs car like 3 times in the garage. Their security sucks ass. There was always clothes from homeless and backpacks next to my apartment. The walls are very thin and I could hear my neighbor next to me snore , have basic conversations and the people upstairs walk even if not trying hard. There is always an issue with elevators not working, or basic water, coffee and tea not being accessible. The pool area is how they get you in but even that is always dirty. Maintenance here is lazy and the office staff is useless. They send us emails which feels likes it to try to basically bribe us tenants to have friends and family move in that we will get $400 off our next rent..its a "resident referral reward" but fuck your money this place is shitty and I do not recommend anyone to live here! It wouldn't feel like a reward to lie to others and have them live here. I don't need to be doing your work for you and I have seen SOOO many people move out and as I thankfully did too. These people are money hungry and do not care about your experience as long as they get a check. I even requested my blinds to be fixed but I guess they can't because they're damaged and my lease ends the 31st.. I put in a work order last week and was told it was completed and my bf went in today and it was not. Apparently it can't be fixed but I'm not surprised you guys want more and more money from people..Stay away from here literally would give 0 stars if I could this place and their staff is a joke. read more

I lived here with my fiancé for a full year and I counted down every day until that lease ended. * We went a full year without being able to take a shower longer than 5 minutes, because our hot water heater was broken when we moved in and there are only so many times you can complain before you accept defeat. * When we moved in the apartment was so filthy we had to actually discard items in the dryer that were not ours, and the A/C stopped working because maintenance never changed the filter before we moved in. This was also when lockdown for COVID started so it was filthy and dangerous. * DO NOT MOVE HERE. Especially, if noise bothers you. We love dogs, but there are dogs in the building that will bark all day for hours non stop. The barking we could deal with maybe even the no hot water issue, but the woman in apartment (the apartment right above us) is insufferable. She stomps so hard that our lights would fall out of the ceiling , our glasses would shake in the cabinets, and this is at all hours. She also would have screaming sex at all hours and then after play fetch with her dog which we could hear the ball bounce and the dog run to grab it. -- At this point I'm sure you are wondering why didn't we tell management. Well we did. We told them not knowing Andrea the main person who worked in the office at the time was friends with the woman in apt 250. Andrea then proceeded to contact the woman in apartment 250 and told her what we said which made things worse, and started what was later referred to by the previous manager as a "battle of the bands". The woman in 250 made false noise complaints against us at times we weren't even on property which we had to then prove to clear our name of any actually noise complaints. Needless to say our lease ended 2 days ago and we thought that we would just be able to walk away without more issues, but no. The new manager Danielle did our move out walk through with us the whole time making comments about how she knows that we have had SEVERAL issues since moving into the trend @ 51 so she's not going to charge us for anything. Well Danielle I would hope not we had to do their job for them when we moved in and then we did it again when we moved out and had our place cleaned the apartment is spotless. However, then she went on to tell us she was just going to charge $50 for a more detailed carpet cleaning for no reason other than well they expect a professional carpet cleaner to come in after your lease ends. (Not in the lease btw) THIS WHOLE EXPERIENCE IS AND WAS A NIGHTMARE. My advice:: Do not move here. read more

The walls are paper thin and you can hear your neighbors having a normal conversation through the walls. If you happen to live on the 1st floor, beware of all of the cockroaches and crickets that make their ways in through the walls and doors. There are roaches all over the outdoor areas and I never see them spray. While it is great having a pet friendly apartment, there is dog poop all over the grounds because there are people who live here who refuse to pick up after their pets. Being so close to a park, I always find homeless people wandering the grounds after dark. Rent is way too expensive for what you're getting. You are better off looking elsewhere - Trend 51 is pretty from the outside but terrible once you actually live here. The only reason why I wouldnt give this place one star is because of the team in the office and the groundskeepers. They are always quite friendly. read more

I loved living here. A good 5 years to be exact. Although management changed over time, all the new staff was just as caring and helpful. Yes, the walls are thin. You can hear everything. I've never once complained on my neighbors nor did they ever complain on me, because we all pretty much knew the circumstances when we moved in. The pool and the gym are the ultimate highlight. Having 24 access to those amenities, is something I'll strongly miss. Trend was my first ever apartment. I hate to leave, but I have out grown it , for the better. Went and visited many different apartments in a single day and had some great things to say about this location! First Anthony was absolutely exceptional. Very friendly knowledgeable and very personable as well. He seemed very happy to give the tour and wanted to find the apartment that would work best for my needs. The complex was very well maintained during my visit. Along with the rooftop pool with a view and secured garage parking was very impressed. The only reason I didn't end up at the location was I had to move pretty instantly and they didn't have an opening quick enough for me. But Anthony is the man he won't disappoint! read more

First of all I'm not going to take away how amazing the rooftop is -- the pool, the view. Everything about it feels luxurious, definitely breathtaking -- but that's pretty much the only good thing this building offers. My main issue was how thin the walls were. I could hear everything. I could hear my neighbors talking, their tv, their dog, I could have been living with them in the same unit. Very poor insulation! Whats worse was my upstairs neighbor. I get it, that's apartment living but this was extra. I know exactly where he was, every move. I had sleepless nights. Save your money! Don't let the rooftop view fool you. It definitely gets you when you do the tour. But just with anything, you're excited in the beginning but then the excitement starts to fade. I barely used the rooftop unless guests came to visit. Honestly, towards the end, I was counting down the days until my lease was up. Thank goodness I'm outta this place! read more

I have lived at Trend for just over a year now. I have lived at several complexes amongst the valley and have found that it is so rare to have a leasing consultant care to get to know you, like our Andrea! Every business has its areas of opportunity. I manage a branch and encourage feedback from my members to better serve their direct needs. Sometimes we fall a little short. The best we can do is ensure to be actionable and value what is brought to our attention. I have never been let down by the office staff at Trend and find pride in living there. It's a beautiful property and it's apartment living. Your expectations have to be realistic and practical. There are always people on the grounds keeping it beautiful and ensuring we are taken care of. Packages delivered straight to your door. Courtesy calls for when they arrive, which isn't the norm. I had our security team ensure my mother and I were safe, because we had our patio door propped open (thanks to our beautiful weather recently) late at night, which was really appreciated and refreshing :) Free work out sessions and paint nights. Birthday cupcakes and shaved ice, to make it through our summer days! The Trend is awesome! What more can I say? read more

I've lived here for almost a year and I'm happy with the apartment I choose. I do wish I picked a 4 floor or and end unit, it would give me a little more privacy. I've never lived in an apartment building like this. Small Space and close by neighbors means be prepared to hear some of how others live. It's meant to be a social spot. I've read the reviews and most people say how nice the pool is, or how much the owners spent on the pool...these things to me are the pros. I see some of the others talk about it, but the pool is rarely used..the pool wasn't open last summer and I can't wait to see the pool partying! Trying to meet my neighbors at the resident events the office hosts. They have all been fun and I met some new people. The rooftop pool is to die for...lets take advantage of it. Approaching 100 plus temps so the pool is where I'll be :) It's pretty typical there are some pros and cons everywhere. When anything has needed to be fixed they have always had it done the same day. I worked with everyone in the office after my first tour and get to catch up and visit with them when I pick up my packages. Super nice to chat! Ok, this is getting long. I have lived in Trend@51 for since April of 2018. The entire property is kept very clean, and maintained very well. The halls, parking garage, elevators, pool, common areas etc. are always spotless! The font office team is always helpful and friendly. Andrea, Andrais, and Christine will always be willing to assist me in any way possible! I have been living in the Trend for the 7th month. And I am horrified by such unjustified negative reviews. It feels like the reviews were written by competitors, or by completely angry and dissatisfied people! This is my first complex to live in Arizona, and I am very excited about this place! Josh and Anthony are wonderful managers, so attentive that even when I accidentally tried to replenish my account balance, Josh immediately called me anxiously to clarify if it was a scam. The pool is wonderful, a chic gym, a guest room for $100 per day if your guests don't have a place to stay. Everything looks clean, new and modern. Who talks about dirt and insects is a huge lie! Concrete sidewalks are washed here with a very tasty-smelling product, corridors are regularly vacuumed, I have never noticed a smell or any dirt! Yes, you may hear your neighbors, but why do you blame the complex for this? If you want peace, please go to the forest and buy yourself a house there. I highly recommend these apartments, and I am looking forward to the end of the contract to move into a larger apartment in the same complex! I will definitely stay here, as it is the best location in the whole city with a beautiful view. I love Trend 51! read more

We toured Trend at 51 in the late afternoon of New Year's Eve day. Andrea showed us the property, the beautiful model and stunning amenities. Because there was only one unit coming up available, we were anxious to secure it before we left, in case we had any problems. Even though it was New Year's Eve and Andrea had no other reason to stay there, she assured us that it was fine for us to stay and fill out all of the digital forms, which we could've filled out online at home. The next day, when we told her that the unit actually would not work for us after all, she was understanding, polite and professional. True kindness and professionalism is proven only when it's tested. We tested it and Andrea passed with flying colors. Because management can make or break a property, this is an experience worth posting. read more

I recently just signed my 3rd lease. I absolutely LOVE living here. The amenities are great and the rooftop pool is stunning w/ fantastic views of the entire valley. Half of what makes living here great is our office staff. Andre and Bethany are beyond incredible! Hands down the best staff I've encountered. Design of the apartments and building great! In the year that I lived there whatever problems I incurred were resolved in a reasonable amount of time. OK where do I begin let me just start by saying I moved here from NY and of course I was looking for the centrally located " Arizona" lifestyle. Well I found it. Location is perfect to say the least. All my friends come to my house on the weekends before starting our outings because I'm literally 15 minutes or less from EVERYTHING! Next let's talk about the features and amenities. Yes it's apartment living but coming from the East coast, I'm excited that I can actually utilize all of the features including the amazing rooftop pool and Jacuzzi ALL year round. Did I mention it's 24 hours! With all the great things of course there was a huge flaw... the building installation. I can literally hear my upstairs neighbor when she sneezes. Crazy right? I mean I can hear her parties, her dancing and her everyday morning routine. But again, that has everything to do with builders (and my 18 year old party starter neighbor) and not the complex as a whole. But what I can say except that back on the POSITIVE side: The staff understood my grievance and did go above and beyond (the EXTRA mile) to help me relocate to a different unit in the complex on the fourth (TOP) floor. Special accolades also to the leasing agent Andrea. She worked tirelessly to make sure I found a comparable (but as it turns our even better) unit. She was in constant communication even on her days off. The entire team offered up many solutions and found the best approach to keep me in this luxury lifestyle, without the dorm room noise. Now I'm on the top floor and I'M IN LOVE all over again!!! Overall great location, Strong customer service focused staff, and great luxury living. My only advise is move quickly when one is available and don't be cheap, get the top floor, you can thank me later!!:) read more

Main hallway smells like garbage a lot of the time. 2. Very thin walls. You can hear EVERYTHING your neighbors are saying or doing. 3. Dog owners not picking up their dogs mess. I loved living at The Trend! The gym was phenomenal with a great view. They even had free group fitness classes/yoga classes. The pool was always relaxing too. It was never crowded and was a great place to wind down. I loved just being able to grab a coffee and sit by the fireplace on the rooftop. Maintenance was great, as well. Everything was handled pretty quickly. No major issues. The only reason I moved was because I needed a two bedroom and the Trend didn't have any available at the time. They have a beautiful roof top pool that overlooks the mountain tops and city, far enough away to enjoy a quiet relaxing life but close enough to enjoy the Phoenix night life. The people at Trend are welcoming and brought together by the awesome events planned by staff in a beautiful rooftop clubhouse. The apartments are well built and offer and modern and functional design. I would highly recommend living here and taking advantage of all their great amenities. The gym is full of the best equipment and they offer free classes to their residents every week. If you are looking for a place to live in Phoenix make sure to check it out. I previously posted a review after I first moved in. This is an updated review. Pros: New on site staff are wonderful and try their best to accommodate ones needs, however, there is only so much they can do and many issues are out of their hands. Cons: Not necessarily in order of rank: I hear my neighbors through the walls, I hear their conversations, their laughs, and giggles, their moans and sex activity. If it were me, I would want to know ahead of time that my neighbors are going to hear much of my life and privacy. I hear dogs that bark and cry and the sounds often wake me up in the mornings. Given this is a big issue in historical reviews, I would think that Weidner would supplement the walls between the units would be insulated or a double wall put in or help block sounds. The pool has been closed several times over the summer due to it leaking and it not being sanitary. Water pouring down in to the garage was scary that the whole garage unit might collapse on our cars or us walking inside the garage, because the pool is on the roof. I saw black something growing inside the pool and jucuzzi. Now it keeps turning green and looks cloudy. I haven't used the pool for over a month and half. I'll never go in it again. I heard last night that it might be closed indefinately for a month or two until they figure out how to clean the water. I heard the blame is being put on tenants having parties at the pool. Keys don't work very well. Sometimes, I've got locked out completely and had to wait for someone else to arrive or I had to go looking for an entrance door that would work with my key. Ive had to replace the keys several times, yet none of the keys work. Sometimes you have to turn the key back and forth a time or two, but most of the time its 3 to 6 times, struggling with it before the lock will wiggle just right to open the door. I'm told all the locks are old and sensitive, and that tenants are the blame because they turn the key too hard trying to get the key to work. I was told its too costly to replace all those old locks, so the tenants have to continue to deal with this frustration. I had hoped to live here for years. That won't be the case. i will move at the end of my lease in 3 months. My rent is supposes to be 1295 per month, but it wasn't clear to me that in reality my rent is really over 1,500 per month due to the taxes, fees, garbage, water, cable, and more they tack on each month. I am told my rent will go up by about $800 per month if I choose to renew the lease. Rent on my unit now is going for about 1795 plus the add ons and some as a percentage so an additional 300 per month totaling about 2100 per month is estimated as what to expect. Thats sad I wouldn't have moved in if I knew my rent after the first year would increase outrageously, like this. Going month to month isn't an option because my rent will increase over even more than that per month, I understand. These numbers are just estimates, but close enough to know that wasn't what i moved in here to expect. Even if I get a little discount because Im a tenant thats still a crazy increase in rent. Even if it stayed the same rent and i could renew my lease, its still too much because its not really the rent, its $200 more than my rent quote. When there is a problem, I pick up the phone and call the office to let them know. They could have a form that they fill out per my apt or my account, based on our conversation or the message I left, but they don't. There is no documentation. None of this history is in my apt unit history because they did not document it. Any one look at my apt records and nothing will be found because the staff should be documenting what happened in each unit and they do not do it. This is very deceptive about the condition of the apartment and actual work done on the apartment. The tenant should NOT be the one to document or to file a maintenance report on line after the fact, or before the fact when its an emergency. The staff use this as a comeback or rebuttal , they are not taking responsibility, but rather blaming the tenant because the tenant called in the emergency or problem, rather than risking and waiting for someone to respond to the website maintenance request possibly days later. The staff is ok that there is no record in the unit or tenant file of any maintenance done on the apartment, at all. My history maintenance record is deceptive and wrong because it is not complete. That is not my fault. i don't have to file a maintenance request. my phone call was enough to get maintenance out and it should be enough for the staff to document that something happened. If staff wants a complete and accurate record they should be doing the documentation themselves, not putting it on the tenants. This is quite a change in view from when I first moved in. How does this happen? Its what reality was after I moved in. read more

I cannot say enough positive things about Living at Trend 51. I've lived here 10 months. As a female living alone it was very important for me to feel safe. The grounds have a security patrol, you have to have a key to get anywhere and everywhere within the community which I see as a positive. The roof top pool and hot tub were of course a major selling point in my moving in and I have not been disappointed. I spend the majority of my time on that rooftop enjoying the beautiful views, solitude and even the fire pits during the winter. The facilities are always clean and well kept. The people within the community are all very friendly. I think almost everyone owns a pet which as a dog lover and fur mother myself is nice because we always meet new people on our potty walks. The designated parking has a security gate and I love that because I keep my motorcycle parked in my designated spot and can feel safe about it. The courtyards are very well maintained and clean. I sit and watch the sun rise while I drink my morning coffee: The staff are so incredibly friendly and helpful. I've had minimal maintenance calls but they have been handled within 24 hours. I had an issue where I once felt unsafe and Andrea and Christine from the front office both were incredibly protective of me and helped me through the situation and reported the incident to the security patrol to ensure my safety in the future. As for any complaints...I have 1. I live in a ground floor unit and although the person living above me is a tiny little thing...she sounds like an elephant lives above me. But even that situation was resolved with the help of the management staff. Yes the walls are a little thin and like any apartment living you can often hear your neighbors but that's a small price to pay for all of the other positive aspects that living here at Trend 51 afford the residents. I'm not sure where any of these negative reviews are coming from. Yes, the walls are thin... but this is an apartment building and I expect there to be noise every now and then so it doesn't really bother me. I've lived here for over a year and could not be happier with my apartment. The staff is attentive, friendly and accommodating. I'm most impressed with the upkeep of the entire complex. I work from home a lot and see the grounds being cleaned up every other day and also see the cleaning crew here multiple times a week. Like I said, I love living here and plan to stay for awhile. So far, so good. I've lived here since August and it's been a really nice place to live. Positives: The management has been extremely friendly and helpful, and the maintenance is spot-on. I use the gym regularly and take the free yoga class on Tuesday nights. The pool area is beautiful, but honestly, I haven't used it yet because it's still too hot for me out there. I'm waiting for 90 degrees or less outside! The grounds are nice and everything is clean and neat. I'm looking forward to seeing what restaurant opens on the first floor. Will be nice to have something on-site I can just walk down to. I have a studio and the use of space in it is great. Nice closet space, a big bathroom, a washer/dryer, granite kitchen countertops, faux-wood floors. It's not huge, but the space is utilized nicely by the designers of the building. I've lived all over the country, and this is the nicest studio I've ever seen when it comes to layout and use of space. This is a very modern, city-living building, so the apartments fit that style. If that's your thing, you'll love it. It's definitely mine. Close to lots of restaurants, shops, etc. Perfect location off the freeway with easy access to getting around town. One oddity: Parking is a little weird...the assigned spots are not super-close to your actual apartment location, and the parking garage is built on half floors that don't match up to the floors of the building, so you either walk up or down half a flight of stairs to get to your level, which isn't fun when pulling a roller with groceries or film equipment. Other than that, however, so far it's been nice. The building isn't full, so I can't say yet whether it will get noisy or annoying in any way. But right now, things are good. read more

Only con is the walls are thin, but if you put a fan on while you sleep, you're good. Only moving out because we bought a home! I recently resigned my lease at Trend at 51 apartments, and I'm very satisfied so far. Andrea is very prompt about communicating with her residents and Bethany puts on fun community events. They are both so sweet and are always offering my puppy tasty treats whenever they see her around. The staff has always been helpful, including the maintenance crew that are always walking around and greeting you with smiles. I've had one small maintenance issue, and they came up during the same day to resolve the issue. The apartment itself is newly updated and cozy and the amenities such as the rooftop pool, clubhouse, and gym are always well maintained. read more

As my current lease was coming to an end, I was searching for a new home in my neighborhood. I came across Trend at 51, and at first glance was excited to give it a try. Upon my tour, I'm welcomed by Andres, a leasing consultant, who did his job and provided us with the logistics. This apartment was promising at first, and was willing to give it a shot. It was definitely a typical apartment where you would for sure experience apartment living. Now, I will be completely honest. During my research, I, of course, factored in Yelp reviews. I was extremely appalled and disgusted by the responses from the "manager" aka the out of touch goatee entry-level representative replying to the reviews. I was close to signing my contract with Andres as I was reading these extremely unprofessional responses to constructive criticism. Please note, you lost business due to your childish and unprofessional responses on here. I'm rating this "luxury' apartment one star. You should probably reconsider being more professional for the sake of your job. Good luck. read more

Don't waste your money here when there's so many other newer apartment communities with more to offer (Crescent, Escape, Peak 16). I've lived at many other apartments in the valley over the last 6 years and this was by far the worst experience. The pool just wasn't worth it. - I had a year long lease and was regretting it after the first week. Andrea and Andres were always argumentative, insulting and condescending to me. Best of luck to you if you ever have an issue that's not convenient for them to address. The first week my car was towed and ticketed because the front office failed to inform me that parking spaces are assigned, and then refused to take any accountability for the situation. Then they assigned me a parking space that was 3 floors above my unit, despite the garage being more than half empty. - One of the maintenance guys once accused me of leaving trash on the ground outside my car, then threatened me and kept asking for my apartment number. - They would send constant threatening emails to the community at every opportunity to remind us of possible fines. They have a very aggressive nickle-and-dime mentality. - You only get ONE key, and it's $100 non-refundable for a spare. They charge you $75 if you ever get locked out and need management to open your door. - I was hit with nearly $300 in cleaning fees despite having diligently cleaned and inspected my apartment upon move-out - I purchased all of the appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment, had the paint matched for touch-ups, and took photos of everything. It was much healthier for me at that point to just pay their fees and not subject myself to Andres' hostility. MORE CONS: - There's TONS of roaches all over the ground floor landscaping and rooftop pool area (SAD!), you have to be careful where you set your belongings when up there after dark. - There was a period of a few months where the hot tub was not functional. - The ground floor courtyards have an extremely strong dog urine smell. Many residents just let their animals urinate on the concrete or rock landscaping. The staff tries to power wash it periodically but that doesn't help. - There's propane BBQ grills everywhere but most of them don't even work. - The stairwells were always littered with garbage and smelled like smoke. - The walls & floors are EXTREMELY thin - I heard every one of my neighbors whenever they would do *anything* - from talking to themselves to doing their dishes. This is not your standard expectation for community living, it's very alarming. read more

Initially I was drawn to this complex because of its amazing location and amenities, but what kept me here was because of its amazing management like Andrea. She was extremely pleasant and accommodating every time. She assist me with moving boxes when it come time for me to relocate to another state. I always felts safe at Trend @51. @51, where do I start... Its all smoke and mirrors. When you tour the place, it has that wow factor. not till you move in will you realize the major flaws this complex has. Keys, you need a key to get anywhere and everywhere. doesn't sound like a big deal but i assure you, ask any resident and they'll share the same sentiment. How a building completed in 2015 doesn't have key fobs, ill never understand. Garage, This Mickey mouse garage is hilarious. The building is probably 30% rented and the guest parking already gets full every night. All the garage complaints from other yelpers are 100% accurate. Apartments themselves look nice at a glance, but believe me you'll feel differently when you move in. They cut corners everywhere and the walls are PAPER thin. Heres where I disagree with other posts, I really enjoy the staff. from the leasing office down to the maintenance guys. They are all nice, humble people, doing the best they can. Its not their fault the Complex is an architectural mess. Im usually not one to leave a review, but on 03/17/16 I received an email. @51 staff is offering spring training tickets for good yelp reviews. Worst apartment I've seen. Thin walls you will get noise complaints after noise complaints. Wood flooring in apartments move around doesn't snap together properly. This place is a SHIT HOLE. Danielle Brown | Community Director - she is a fraud charging you're account without you're promising and they are very slow to responds. I've gotten shit stolen from my own Mercedes but they have a guard that walks around at night time but missed my car. Lived here for a year and a half! My only complaint is the walls are a bit thin but most of my neighbors have been pretty respectful! They are on top of things as far as communicating, maintenance etc. amenities are amazing and the actual apartments are updated and nice. Don't do it. First, I moved in believing that all entrances were through the garage and by key as I was informed that during my tour. It wasn't until I moved in that I saw the open courtyard and the second week I saw a homeless man passed out on a Neighbor's patio while I was walking my dog at night. The walls were so thin that I would frequently wake up to my neighbors having sex, at all times of day/night. I received an email from the front office the day I returned from vacation for two weeks saying the multiple residents saw me not pick up after my pet, this has never happened, however the email stated "not accusing, just reminding". As I corrected that it could not have been me I got no response. I had put in my notice and was to be moved out in about 5 days when I received a voicemail asking to return the call with no description as to what the call was about. I emailed asking what it was in regards to and the response I received was "I had just wanted to ask you about the dog issue that we spoke of earlier. Thanks". I responded asking what dog issue are you referring to and again never received a response. All in all I was pretty disappointed in both the community, from pet owners letting their animals poop in the stairwells and the thin walls to the management for "not accusing" and certainly not communicating. Personally, I would rather pay a couple dollars more for a better community and management. read more

I would give this place zero stars if possible. management is sub par (except for Andrea). Paper thin walls. They towed my car for parking in a "permit only" area even though nowhere in my contract or paperwork does it say that I cannot park in a certain area in the parking garage. If you want to live in the worst place on earth move here! It's terrible. Have a car you like driving and parking at home? They'll tow it. Want some privacy from your neighbors? Look somewhere else! You can hear your neighbors do everything! From walking on the floor to sneezing! Come down to the trend at 51. Where everything is a pain in the ass!
