From the moment we entered, as Hispanics we felt as though we were being closely watched and followed throughout the store in a way that made us uncomfortable. We had no large bags or items with us--just a wallet--yet we were treated with a level of suspicion that did not seem warranted. At the same time, another customer (take a gander) in the store, who had a large backpack, which looked like it could fit an arsenal was able to shop freely without the same level of attention. The contrast in how we were treated was noticeable and concerning. Prior to visiting, I had already spoken with someone about purchasing a higher-priced item. However, due to the way we were treated during our visit, my husband and I decided not to move forward with the purchase. Instead, we chose to leave and spend our money elsewhere. We ended up going to a nearby business (Ss donuts) where we experienced welcoming and respectful service, which only highlighted the difference. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as no customer should feel uncomfortable or singled out while simply trying to shop.

I usually call ahead before doing an exchange at Dollar Tree because their return policies can be…read moreinconsistent from store to store. Over the phone, I was told by a staff member that as long as I had my receipt, everything would be fine. When I arrived, Liliana, the clerk, checked me in and was very polite and helpful--great customer service from her! However, when I went to the exchange counter, the male manager's attitude completely shifted the tone of the experience. He didn't greet me and instead immediately scolded me for not leaving my items at the front, even though I had already checked in with Liliana. When I explained that, he tried to put the blame on her, which felt unprofessional and not very team-like. I understand that the holidays can be stressful, but as a manager, he should set the standard for kindness and professionalism. Kindness is free, and trying to degrade people--whether customers or employees--doesn't help anyone. Liliana saved this review from being one star, but this store's management could definitely use a reminder about the value of treating others with respect.

I wanted to see what stuff they might have on sales or some snacks to get. When I walked inside, I saw that they had a long line for the checkout because there was only 1 cashier. When I was walking around the store, they already had most of their Christmas stuff gone and ready for Valentine day now. Some of the shelves were empty so I think they haven't restocked yet. I saw some car freshener that is a little more than a dollar and also looked at their frozen food area. The store is very quiet inside and will make you feel like you went back in time compared to other stores. There even a Amazon pickup locker here and I never knew that they sell ice here.

Parking is plenty and this plaza is filled with worthy shops to get your shopping done. Inside, the store is organized and sectioned into relevant items, I would always make my way to the toys and knick-knacks. Sometimes, i would pick up a toy or two (like those Disney mystery blind box charms). One of my favorite things to buy are the dog toys, they change designs often and for $5, it comes with two squeaky toy that my pups love. I always look forward to see what design they currently have. Staff there are great. They are helpful and make the place nice. I had one time picked up a couple of items and had put the stuff temporarily on a random shelf to pick up a phone, i had walked away from the aisle for 2 minutes, realize that i had forgotten the stuff, went to find that the staff had already put them back to its original spot.
