I needed a large old cottonwood that was leaning toward my neighbors property. They came out quickly to give me an estimate, and John was very detailed in his explanation of what needed to happen based on its location along a drainage ditch. The quote was very reasonable and they could book it quickly, which I also needed. Unfortunately, it was right in the middle of an atmospheric river event, but they got it done in spite of the ditch becoming a raging torrent. I needed an oak trimmed back, a bitch tree downed and stump removed and finally some maple trees pruned. We just installed new sprinkler systems around our property. They avoided doing any damage. They left us the wood in nice stacks and we kept the chips to lay at the base of our fruit trees. Nice group and well educated in their roles as arborists. Reasonable price! It's competitive with other arborists believe me, I checked. We will be calling back again in a couple years to get our trees trimmed again for sure! read more

This highly trained crew showed up five minutes ahead of time and upon securing their vehicle and man lift, knocked on our door and explained what would take place. He didnt try to upcharge me, or offer me services that I didnt need. Furthermore, he even offered insight and instructions for me to get started. I cant recommend this company highly enough. I recently moved to my house in the Portland area which had a large, overgrown Japanese Maple up against my house and my neighbor's house that had been improperly pruned for years. I thought I'd have to remove the tree until Leo assured me that his company could take care of the problem. John and Noah, the crew that came out, did an incredibly masterful job in doing a crown reduction (a very difficult procedure fraught with potential issues) during the dormant season. Our three trees were 130' plus feet tall, in a very confined space between 4 homes. The crew did an Amazing job! They made safety their first goal all the way around! WOW I am blown away by these wonderful gentlemen's work! We have a large oak tree in front of our yard what was way overgrown and the perfect way for squirrels to get into our roof and into our home. I HATED this tree. Overgrown and ugly. I wanted to cut it down, but at the moment couldn't afford it. Instead I opted to cut it back for now and cut it down later... MY GOD. I'm so glad I went with this company, and I'm actually glad I didn't get the tree completely removed. They did a WONDERFUL job. The tree is no longer a hazard, it's beautiful, and they did ALOT of great work for a great price. They also worked with me and my schedule because I work alot. Their communication was also fantastic. They answered all my questions honestly and nicely. This tree has NEVER looked this good and I'm not exaggerating. I'm rambling now but TLDR, I will ONLY have this company come out now. They are so nice, genuine and hard working people. There were absolutely no problems that came about, only positives and new faith restored in this tree I hated so much just hours ago. The crew of three did a great job pruning and thinning my Beach and Mountain Ash tree. And the cleanup was superb. Before they finished, they asked me to come and look at the trees. I suggested that one branch be removed and after we discussed it, they agreed it should be removed. What really impressed me was when they finished, they came to my door and told me if there was anything else that I thought should be done, to please call them and they will be happy to come out and take care of it. I really appreciated how they understood tree care because my house has a 125 year old walnut that needed to be trimmed back from the roof and they balanced it out better also. After the great ice storm of Feb 2021, we had significant damage to mature pines, deciduous trees and bushes around our home. We called Leo Cervantes at Trees Plus NW and we were pleasantly surprised when he was able to immediately respond and come to our home and discuss the storm damage and what was needed to restore our trees to health. Leo provided us with a professional, timely, and reasonable estimate of the cost. We hired Trees Plus to perform the work recommended by Leo. A full crew of workers showed up at our home on time, as scheduled by Leo, and proceeded to work diligently to perform the work as contracted. All of the employees were polite, responsive to questions, and they hustled! Seven hours later the work was completed and the outcome was far beyond our expectations. Don't ever hire this company. Poor value for your money. First, they were supposed to arrive on Friday morning. I got a phone call Friday morning saying it would be on the next Tuesday at 1:00. Instead they arrived at 10 AM. The estimate was to take out a small 7 foot evergreen tree and grind the stump after they cut it down. $195 for cut down tree and $55 for grind stump (plus $25 discount because I had a flyer with the discount). I assumed it was going to be a harder job to cut down and get the roots out for $250 (of course the discount $25). It took them 10 minutes -- one man leaned the tree over and the other man cut 4 root strings with an ax. No chain saw and no stump grinder. I feel it was price gouging for such a small job. A business needs to be realistic about these small jobs and estimate better or be honest about what it really is going to take to do the job. And although they spoke with me later about this, there was never any talk about what to make it better for me. read more
