We purposely picked this place because it was family owned, non-chain business. So we decided to just donate to them. While I was pulling out the guy waved me down to give me the tree. He said he was so touched by our gesture he wanted to give us the tree. We were so touched by that, that we paid the entire price of the tree. Now looking at our Charlie Brown Christmas Tree as a special meaning that just warms my heart.

Shout-out to super-friendly Sahil for proactively asking me about my keys as soon as I pulled them out of my pocket. She let me know what my options were and I chose to have three standard keys cut at $2.98 each. Three total rang up to $9.74 after tax. Sahil told me this is the "fun" Ace Hardware and I could see why. The staff trended younger and more "hip." I'm a fan of Ace Hardware in general because each store feels like a small, local, and unique business. This one especially so. It's popular among locals with a strong sense of neighborhood and community. And, like other city Ace Hardware stores, it was densely-packed with all sorts of useful hardware and garden items. If you've never visited this location before, be sure to check out the beautiful plant room. They have a good selection of plants and a big wall of seeds. They even sell King of Pops here.
