My first time was my last time. I went in for just one variety. Directions to the green house from the first person was vague. The second person was much better.However they lacked what I was looking for. At check out one item was more than expected. I asked to return it and was told I could leave it there. Then she said she would have them taken from me by the lady outside. We'll lady out side made me take them all the way back to where I picked them up. Not good customer service! ​ read more

Not a good experience, been to the nursery a numbers of times. The people are typically rude, the tend to be unpleasant and short with a smile. I will not return; also found after being sarcastically talked to at Buck Jones that Lowes has better prices and a bigger selection. read more

Just by my interaction with an associate over the phone, I am not going to waste my time with this company. I needed to purchase a tree and was informed that they do not deliver or plant the trees which is fine by me. They mentioned that they work with local landscapers and they would be able to recommend some landscapers. But here is where the one star comes from... after a long pause on the phone, I asked if they could recommend some landscapers and I was rudely told that I would have to buy a tree from them first. I'm going to head over to Scottsdale Farms in Milton, GA instead. They were friendlier on the phone and they will deliver and plant the tree for you. read more

I ordered mulch and a couple of days later they were able tp deliver it. The mulch is great - we wanted the cypress chips, but can't get it anymore, anywhere. The very nice lady I talked to at Buck Jones office said they had the cypress shred and I agreed that it would do. She was wonderful helping me get it ordered, paid for and the delivery scheduled. It arrived on time and as I said is really good mulch. The delivery man was very nice, professional and good at handling the truck. My husband took the delivery and was completely happy with everything. He asked the driver to offload in three piles in our yard and the gentleman did it perfectly. We will definitely order from Buck Jones again! read more

I have shopped at Buck Jones several times and every time I have been very pleased, as someone said in another review yes you may be able to find the plant or tree you are looking for cheaper at Home depot or somewhere else but I promise it will not be as great of quality. And as previously stated I like to support our local family owned businesses. Also in reference to the employees in the office all the ladies there that I have talked with have been more than helpful and very nice. Will definitely return. read more

Buck Jones delivered some pavers for a landscape project for my contractor. If the driver who brought the pavers is any indication of how they operate then they have my highest rating. The driver(Jerry) is one of the kindest, most professional person's I've ever met. Placed the pavers with the installers in mind and with great care. Thumbs up to Jerry. read more

I don't write many reviews but I had to come on here to help clear Buck Jones's name after seeing some of these reviews. I've been shopping here for over 5 years (to purchase landscaping for the 2 houses I've owned in that time) and it's obvious why Buck Jones has been around for 45 years. They clearly know what they're doing when it comes to plants. I find the employees to be as helpful as they can be considering I'm sure this is one of the busiest seasons for them. I've gone there twice so far this spring for plants around my house and was able to get the advice that I needed. I believe most of the people who shop here are landscapers and larger companies, but I still felt like my purchase is valued even though I only buy a few things at a time for my house. I love going over to the stone yard as well just to look at all of the options that they offer. There are some items there that I'd never seen before. They also have displays set up that give me tons of ideas of what could work for my backyard. Also, some of the previous reviews mentioned that the plants were dying. There are periods of time where plants are dormant so they may not be blooming and may not have leaves on them, but that doesn't mean they're dead. Same reason the grass in your yard goes brown during winter and looks sad. I've purchased plants last winter knowing they wouldn't bloom until spring, and that's exactly what they're doing now. I suggest giving this place a chance. There are some items that you may find cheaper elsewhere, but Buck Jones is a family business and I'd prefer to pay a little bit more to help my city's economy than go to a chain store where the customer service is definitely the last thing on their mind. read more

I just left this establishment. It's huge but everyone was willing to help me. Jerry on the front end loader couldn't have been any nicer. I guess you get what you give. Guests are required to 'check-in' at the front desk before being allowed inside the grounds. Dogs are not allowed. Expect to find, load and carry your own trees, bushes, and plant selections. The lot is huge and deep! Be prepared for lots of walking. The trees are located in the back of the lot. Call ahead of time and ask if you are seeking a specific tree type. Not a huge selection to choose from and there are seasons for some bushes and trees. If you are shopping out of season do not expect to find anything. This nursery caters more to landscaping than home gardeners. I am not returning here. read more

This is the place to go to when you need help with your landscaping and they have everything you need! David was very helpful and helped me resolve my issue and worked around my schedule. His number one priorety was making sure the customer was taken care of, without question, and eveything was great (I saved money too). read more

Very disappointed in the soil we had delivered. We ordered 10 yards of fill dirt and the price for this was $396.97. What was delivered was BELOW expectation. The dump truck was not even full and the driver told my husband that it was 17 scoops, whatever that means. My husband called the nursery to voice his disappointment and we were asked to take pictures of what was delivered and text the photos back. We did. They said the amount we received was correct. We will NEVER order from this company again. Be aware... If you need fill dirt, I suggest you visit the nursery first and get them to show you exactly what you will get for your money before purchasing. We wish we had. read more

This nursery was average...a lot of the plants I looked at were dying. The woman working in their office was incredibly RUDE and didn't answer our questions and didn't seem to care to help us. A young man did help us look at plants and he was great. I'm upset with all the plants I bought from them because I found them at another nursery for a little more than half the price I paid there. This place sucks all around...don't waste your time going there. read more

In the last 2 weeks, we had a truckload of top soil and another of bark mulch delivered. The quality of the products is wonderful. The driver (same both trips) put the soil and mulch exactly where we wanted almost like there was an x to mark the spot. They give you a time window, but the driver also calls when he is on the way. We could not be happier with Buck Jones Nursery. Really great product, really great people and very reasonable prices. read more

I've been to this nursery two times in the last two years and every time that I've gone the service is very poor. the office staff is very rude and not welcoming. The lady that I spoke with seemed to be annoyed to be asked questions and had no knowledge of their flower's/plant's inventory. If you want to purchase plants for your home, do not go here. All they care about are big purchases! I won't go back for sure! read more
