Wendy Barnes, the designer, basically just put the plants in a semicircle with no regard to the actual size of the plants. On the positive side, he was impressed with the exceptional condition of the plants purchased, which outshone those from other nurseries in the Atlanta area. These plants were not only healthy and vibrant but also free from any rootbinding issues, even in the fall. The installation process, handled by a third-party vendor, was praiseworthy. The team efficiently completed the job in a single day, however, after looking at the plan they should have contacted either the customer or the designer to say are you sure about this. On the flip side, the disappointment stemmed from the design service provided by Wendy Barnes. The rendering she sent depicted how the plants would look five years down the road, but unfortunately, the actual design fell short of expectations, proving unsatisfactory and unappealing. This has necessitated additional spending to somewhat improve the landscape. I appreciate the owner's efforts to resolve this by offering to sell us more plants and personally delivering them the Friday after Thanksgiving. As we were aiming to get the house on the market by December 1, and though we typically handle this ourselves, time constraints led us to seek assistance from ServeScape. Despite this setback, my partner remains open to using ServeScape and possibly the landscape installer again. However, I strongly urge a more accurate representation of plants in future designs. Another notable concern was the placement of the delivered plants, with over 30+ placed directly on the pathway to the house, causing an obstruction.

When I placed the order, I clearly told the manager the mulch needed to be delivered to the backyard -- at no point was I informed this couldn't be done. That should've been communicated from the start. To make matters worse, they didn't even bother to backfill the damage they caused. For a supervisor, Wilmer showed no consideration and had the worst attitude I've ever experienced from a service provider. Absolutely unacceptable. I would never recommend this company.

Here is the impossible issue I brought into Haverty's at Perimeter yesterday: I want an L shaped couch for a room that is too small for one. The seating needs to be deeper than 26" because that's what we have now and it's not comfortable. Even though the room is too small for what we have now, I want a larger one. (I noticed that my sales person, Deborah, didn't run screaming into the office to bribe a coworker to take this customer.) The too-large L-shaped couch must be 'in this configuration' (my meaningless hand gestures), and it needs to face 'this way' because Chris sits 'there' and I sit 'there' and our Aussiedoodle, Gibby, sits in the middle. (Deborah is still actually listening to me and her eyes aren't glazed over yet. So I continue...) This side of the L MUST face northwest because the television is on the north wall and if I turn my head the other way for too long I'll get a really bad muscle spasm. And speaking of muscle spasms, I need a recliner in the room that's already too small for the L because sometimes I have to sleep in the recliner because of muscle spasms. I ask if she knows a realtor because we really just need to move, and would you like to see pictures of our dog, Gibby? (She really does want to see the pictures and if she can't solve my seating problem she'll be happy to help me find a realtor. As we walk around the showroom chatting like old friends, she encourages me to continue with my loose description of my impossible seating requirements.) As I ignored the sound of other customers running away for fear THEY would be pulled into a conversation requiring them to look at photos of my dog, my needlework and my new drapes, Deborah suggests I sit down and relax while I show her the photos of the plants I dug up in the backyard last summer. I'm babbling on happily and scrolling through my photos. After I shared my photos -which she really seemed to enjoy - she quietly asked what I thought. Me: About what? Deborah: The couch. Me: What couch? Deborah: The one we're sitting on. It will be delivered on Tuesday.
