Ballard Designs- Atlanta

Seems like quite a few of these reviews are of "Ballard" the store, but not of this location…read morespecifically. This is a review of this particular location not the Ballard business as a whole. I am a fan of Ballard the store but this location has its issues. I do love that we have such a huge location in Atlanta, that is a positive - due to HQ also being located here i imagine. But I don't understand why it does not function as a showroom or flagship for that reason. Also this store does seem to be rearranging constantly. I cannot remember a time when I have visited and it was not moving something around. As such, staff does also always seem preoccupied by this and less inclined to help. When I can get staff to help it is usualyl because i have a specific question and they usually do not have the info on hand or may not know where I can see a specific iten on store (probably because it all moves around so often) which can be frustrating.

I'm incredibly disappointed with my recent experience at Ballard Designs. I ordered dining chairs…read morein person at the store, and the associate verified that they were in stock and available. Five days later, I received an unexpected cancellation notice with no real explanation. When I called customer service to understand what happened, the only solution offered was a $25 gift card, which felt like an insult considering the inconvenience and the fact that I now have to start my search over again. To make matters worse, the exact same style chair is still available as an individual custom-order option -- yet the company refused to offer any discount or price adjustment, even though the original in-stock set I purchased was canceled through no fault of my own. For a company at this price point, I expected far better communication, accountability, and customer care.

Local to its core, Love Street is a true Smyrna treasure!…read more Located on Concord Road between Atlanta Road and South Cobb intersections sits the cute little house that screams "local"! In addition to all the goodies inside the store, they also have a great garden/plant section outside behind the picket fence. We really enjoy Love Street and for good reason, actually many reasons... Service - Always welcoming, helpful and friendly! Every person we have encountered here, whether it be in the main shop or in the garden shed has been great! Inventory - Not only do they have a lot of local branded items, they also feature a lot of locally sourced and created items including artwork, accessories, snacks, foods, clothing, etc...In addition to these items, they have plenty of unique things that make great gifts...even some items of the gag variety! It really is a hodgepodge of inventory as you will see local made honey next to tumblers and coasters in one room, walk through a doorway to get to toys, dog accessories and clocks then wonder into a room filled with shirts and magnets only to turn the corner to find shelves of soap and candles! Outside they have a beautiful garden area that features all varieties of plants and flowers, and accessories including some fantastic flower pots! Overall, Love Street is one of our favorite stores in Smyrna! It's a feel good and homey place to swing through whether window shopping or in search of that perfect gift for someone!

Vinings Jubilee has been around for as long as I can remember, since I first moved to Atlanta in…read more2000. I searched through my Yelp reviews and have eaten at more restaurants here than I thought. I still remember my first dining experience here was at La Paz, now closed. I also had a rare birthday outing here at SOHO in 2017. You'll see another Yelper who reviewed this place, former Yelp Atlanta Community Manager Benjamin G on 4/27/2015, had "been up to this shopping plaza for a few different things over the past year." I know what two of them were: One was to meet up with me for lunch at Cafe at Pharr. Two was to host a Yelp Elite Event, "Spring Family Dinner" at Paces & Vine on 4/28/2015: https://www.yelp.com/events/elite/ESj2xs6IMW4TTiyZI5yPKQ. Below is a list of restaurants I've been to at Vinings Jubilee, along with a couple quick thoughts on each. You can follow the links to see each restaurant's Yelp page where I've also left a review. * Another Broken Egg Cafe https://www.yelp.com/biz/another-broken-egg-cafe-vinings-2 An OK breakfast, brunch, and lunch chain. Not bad. * Cafe at Pharr https://www.yelp.com/biz/cafe-at-pharr-atlanta-4 Local chain of cafe-restaurants serving healthy, light fare. Good. * La Paz Restaurante (now permanently closed) https://www.yelp.com/biz/la-paz-restaurante-atlanta-2 Later rebranded as Guaco Joe's, this was an average Americanized Mexican restaurant. * Noche (now permanently closed) https://www.yelp.com/biz/noche-vinings-atlanta Local, popular tapas chain, Noche was part of Tom Catherall's Here to Serve restaurant group which closed all restaurants in October 2015. * Paces & Vine https://www.yelp.com/biz/paces-and-vine-atlanta One of the best restaurants in Vinings, in my opinion. Great for a romantic date or group dining. * SOHO https://www.yelp.com/biz/soho-restaurant-atlanta Old-school, nice American restaurant. Not bad. * Stockyard Burgers & Bones https://www.yelp.com/biz/stockyard-burgers-and-bones-atlanta New-school burger joint that expanded from Stockyard's original location next to Marietta Square. OK. As for the Vinings Jubilee shopping center itself, it's nice. It's outdoors and it's designed to look like a collection of classy, old, white and brick Southern homes. I think that's the best way I can describe it. The ambiance is charming and quaint. It's got a bit of an upscale feel to it with restaurants like the aforementioned Paces & Vine and SOHO, along with an assortment of boutique shops and offices. That said, it's home to big chains too such as Banana Republic, Cold Stone Creamery, and CVS Pharmacy. Vinings Jubilee is located in the heart of Vinings, just inside the Perimeter (ITP), close to both I-285 exit 18 (Paces Ferry Road - Vinings) and 41 (Cobb Parkway) just south of Cumberland Boulevard. While this is a nice shopping center, it isn't a mall or destination like Atlantic Station or Avalon where you'd generally go to shop/browse and hang out/walk around. It's more of a place you'd go to if you're looking for or headed to a specific restaurant, retailer, or office, if that makes any sense. Note: Yelp is weird. At one point, this listing for Vinings Jubilee changed to "Boardroom Salon for Men - Vinings Jubilee." I submitted a correction and thankfully, the moderators approved it.

It's very picturesque and has an old early twentieth century charm about it. All the buildings match the aesthetic, from restaurants to drug stores. There's lots of greenery and sidewalks. I would have loved to explore it more. Driving up I passed a lot of joggers and even bumped into someone I know just finishing up a jog. It's very beautiful here.

What an absolutely delightful store!…read more I stopped in to shop for accessories for a client and found an absolute treasure trove of unique pieces- some vintage, some truly antique. I was shopping for a client with midcentury taste who likes pieces with a story behind them, and this was the perfect stop. It's a great mix of time periods and style. I received help from various people working here, and all were kind and generous with their time, even as they let me circle the store for an hour figuring out which pieces I wanted to get. The process of getting items on approval was incredibly easy. I'll be back for future clients.

Okay, have to start by saying WOW!!!…read more From the first time I stepped into Interiors Market (maybe two years ago?) to when I walked through the door today, there has been a TREMENDOUS change in the atmosphere, look, and merchandise offered at Interiors Market. Interiors Market has undergone (and from the looks of it will continue to undergo) SO many renovations and refurbishing over the last year. Milton, the new owner, and his partner Greg are the friendliest people one could hope to encounter when shopping in such a large warehouse-style shop. But PLEASE don't let the size of Interiors Market intimidate you. Like I said, Greg and Milton are wonderful, polite, and well informed about their craft. Any question I had was met with an enthusiastic response. The store has an incredible and eclectic selection of lighting, home decor, art, and furniture... and it all ranges from antique, to mid-century, right up to today's contemporary trends. Browsing through the shop may take you a whole afternoon, but frequent stops to chat (and laugh and enjoy free cheesecake samples!!!) with Mrs. Hornsby of Hornsby Cakes will not only keep you entertained, but will make you feel more than welcome into the #InteriorsMarketFamily. The staff is energetic and so easy to work with. I can't wait to see what's happening at Interiors Market next time I drop by for a visit (which will have to be soon because that cheesecake is addicting)!
