Since Chastain has become our park in the last year, we agreed that we would buy our tree here this year. I stopped in around 7:30 on Thursday, December 1, with the intent of getting a 3-4 foot tree (to put on a pedestal/table so the little one couldn't get to it and pull it over...). There were 4 people working at the time: the owner, Hal, a couple of high school kids, and another man who seemed to be in charge of the actual activity. There weren't many small trees to choose from, and the smallest were all in the 5-6 ft range. Clearly, they're expecting the folks who live in the huge houses and want huge trees. All the trees I saw were in great shape - very full. I ended up picking out a 5' for $35, which I think is cheaper than the other commercial lots I've previously used. They also have a selection of wreaths (fir, pine, boxwood), stands, and tree watering aids (basically a long funnel so that you don't have to bend over and crawl under the tree to water it). I checked all these out as the high school guys were bailing my tree, giving it a fresh cut, and putting the stand on for me. As Hal was ringing me up (they take Visa, not sure about the others), he explained that this is their 2nd year as a fundraiser for the conservancy. For each tree purchased, they plant a tree, and then they'll take your tree back on January 3rd to recycle it. So not only did I get a beautiful tree for a reasonable price, I also got to help my neighborhood park, and I have a guaranteed way to recycle it when the holidays are over. #Yelp365 - 336/365

    # of Visits: 10+…read more This location is great. If anything's wrong with my plants, I ask Monica (I think that's her name), who's their main horticulturist (not just a salesperson and plant-aficionado). She helped me bring back my fiddle leaf ficus when it was looking droopy. She visits a lot of the Pike locations though, so she's not always there. But everybody's generally friendly and always has plenty of advice so you can't go wrong. Check out their free Playing in the Dirt Card. https://www.pikenursery.com/play-in-the-dirt-club/. If you spend $600, you get a $25 credit. It seems a lofty goal but I managed to reach it somehow, so go for it! :) If you subscribe to their newsletter, every so often they have a BBQ/Member Appreciation. They grill burgers & hot dogs and you can munch while looking at what's in season. They have a guaranteed-for-life warranty for most of their shrubs, bushes, trees (you'll have to check the fine print). You don't even have to worry about keeping the receipt because if you check out with the Playing in the Dirt card, they keep that information on file. Just give them a rough timeline to help narrow down your search. Like any store, they also have red/yellow tag events where items are heavily discounted. I've gotten some of my favorite plants for 50-75% off. Parking can be a bit of a pain since there's not really a good traffic flow (one-way really). When leaving, there's no protected light, you just have to say a little prayer when turning left onto Roswell Rd.

We have spent over $16,000 there over the past three years, and we have also used their landscape services. We're often there weekly, and we know several of the employees well. About a year or so ago, we hired them to do a landscape installation. One of the items they chose to plant was a small but expensive Thunderhead Japanese Black Pine that was $600. The tree has never done well and looks terrible. At least half the tree always looks dead. It's right in front of our foyer window so it's very visible. We asked the manager, Jesse, for store credit for this tree, and we were already planning to buy a tree that was about the same price. The manager refused, stating that the tree wasn't completely dead so it was not covered under their lifetime guarantee. He recommended that we "cut out all of the dead parts." As you can see in the photo, that would be 2/3 of the tree. As someone who has spent my career in the service industry, I am shocked and disappointed that a manager would treat a longstanding customer so poorly. It has completely ruined our desire to do business with Pike in the future. In my opinion, he made a very bad call.

Store #848 - 110 Perimeter Center Pl, Dunwoody, GA…read more This location frequently experiences long checkout lines with limited cashier staffing. The store's return policy is strictly enforced; Loss prevention measures at this site include active security personnel and receipt checks upon exiting. Current management, including a manager named Carmine, has been noted in recent interactions as adhering to these strict store protocols. Inflexible Return Policy: Many customers have expressed extreme frustration with an inflexible return process, particularly in instances where tags have become detached, even when a receipt is present. Aggressive Loss Prevention: Reviews frequently mention shoppers feeling uncomfortable due to aggressive loss prevention tactics, such as being closely followed throughout the store or having receipts checked in a confrontational manner. Management Conduct: Public feedback points to a pattern of a manager who is rude, unsupportive, and prone to yelling at both staff and customers, which creates a toxic shopping atmosphere. For reference, these widespread customer sentiments can be found on public review platforms such as Yelp: https://myelpcom/biz/ross-dress-for-less-dunwoody. Due to these ongoing operational standards and management style, my business, Martellis Group LLC, will be utilizing other retail locations for future needs.

The place is very empty and what they do have is just thrown anywhere. There was literally one person working the register and I didn't notice anyone else on the floor. I really hope they're going through some kind of transition or something because it was a mess. I felt bad for the employee because she was doing her best to get people in and out. She was very friendly and greeted everyone when they entered the place.
