We took my boyfriend here as a surprise birthday activity with his family while we were in town. We are all in our 30s and above, and an active group, so this was the perfect activity for all skill levels. I appreciate the booking process because it shows you how many spots are left, so that we could monitor the website and decide whether or not we need to purchase soon. We were waiting out the rain chance and did not want to book if it was going to get rained out, but knowing that there were several options for availability allowed us to flexibility to walk in. I like that you are provided with new gloves to use and keep. Places in the past have lettuce used old ones that we returned. I think it would be nice to have that option available to customers. Also, ideally the finger parts of the gloves would be a little bit longer because I did get some cuts on my fingers where they stopped. You have to sit through a training which is about 15 to 20 minutes long which feels long but is probably very necessary based on what you need to know to handle the equipment on your own. The staff members were all very kind as well so it was helpful to have them talk through. Difficulty rangers from kids level all the way up to double black diamond, which even our most active people did not attempt. If you're planning on doing either of the black courses, I would definitely recommend just doing one warm-up course so that you don't tire yourself out. We started on the greens, and then did a blue, and then barely made it through the first black. We did have someone who started a black and then realized she could not handle it. It would be great if part of the training could include an exit strategy in case that were to happen. In this case, the person had only made it through one obstacle and had to make it back, which was already difficult enough for her, but thankfully it was only one. I'm curious what would have happened if she made it further through the course and could not finish. Overall this was a really great activity for any age level, any skill level, and for any group or individual. I would definitely come back and am eager to try the double black diamonds next time! read more

It was a fun experience while we did try it first through a Yelp event, where my 62 yo mom loved it too! She did find the locking and unlocking of the carabiners a bit difficult hence just did level one. The next time we went with friends and their little ones who also found it very difficult to clip/ unclip them but otherwise loved it too ! The team is very helpful they give great instructions and help those who need it. We also did try their putting course but it was not very lit and hence wasn't exciting. My husband and I had a blast. When you first get there you walk up and think wow this is going to be easy and quick, especially when you see all the little kids. Well they are doing the little kids basic course. I think there are like 6 or 7 adult courses. If you don't cheat and grab the metal cable it's probably even more difficult. The first 3 courses were not bad. Go in the order they suggest. We tried one and got stuck in the middle and had to go backwards because that was impossible for our first time. We hosted my 9-year-old's birthday party at TreeRunner. He had a blast. It's a beautiful area with excellent courses. My only complaint is the help provided to our young guests at the beginning of the party. The TreeRunner staff were short with them and came across as annoyed. It would have been helpful if a staff member after verbally explaining how to clip on and off the line would have had each of them complete the ground course aiding them in clipping on and off as needed. read more

Such a fun spot to try something different for date night. The staff was patient and trained us thoroughly to ensure we would be safe throughout our adventures. After locking in and out a few times, it became very easy. The park itself is split into different difficulty levels. If it's your first time, they will most likely make you go in order from easiest to hard and you won't be able to skip to get to the double black diamond courses. We got through all of the courses except for the last one within 2 hrs (of our total allotted 3 hr time slot). We skipped the last course because we got hungry - I highly recommend eating a proper meal before as it is in and of itself a full body workout. What a fun place. We hosted my son's 12th birthday there. He had 3 kiddos join us and I participated too. Perfect party during a pandemic. I could buy tickets and bring in my own food without paying extra fees. We all had fun and the staff was very encouraging when one of the kids was scared. The only negatives was that I found the website and levels confusing. I couldn't figure out if I needed to be there with the kids doing the activities or not. I found the answers contradictory depending on who I spoke to. I ended up doing it, found I only needed to be on the ground when they were playing but had fun anyway. Leading up to the party, I kept getting emails saying that they didn't have any waivers despite my guests already filling them out. I had to keep emailing copies of the confirmation. We had a great time here for our daughter's birthday party. The front desk cannot be near cer and more helpful! They do everything they can to make you have a great experience. There are a few things that could have made it better. First, the staff running the course needs to smile more and the guy who was working definitely needs to yell less. He was constantly yelling at people and really dampened the fun for everyone. I understand the need to be safe but yelling only makes people frazzled and less likely to remember all the rules. Also, since we were a birthday party with 9 people, I would have expected that we would have had our own safety briefing but instead we had another family of 4 with us and because they have to put all of your harnesses without any help from you, it took 30 minutes for the one lady to get our harnesses on. Then right after we got everyone suited up, another family of 3 joined us and we all had to stand around waiting until they got their harnesses on. It took 50 minutes for this and the safety briefing which really cut into our birthday climb time. All in all it was very fun but better coordination of the staff, friendlier staff who actually smile, and treating the very expensive birthday as a separate event would all have made it much better. read more

My 10- and 12- year boys and I headed here when we needed some time to kill with another kid at an all weekend tournament. We are from Virginia with several ropes course parks near us and I always know they are a good choice for my very active and athletic kiddos. I have to say, this park is one of the best we have been to. The harness and clicker systems work really well; better than some others I have tried. Easy to understand and feels very safe. We had an amazing time on Saturday for a couple of hours and had just tested the kids into the bypass system that allowed them to move up a level. This is a GREAT system that lets confident kids do more -- and gives grownups a break because the kids can do more on their own. I was just about to have the kids try the next level up (my oldest had even charmed a couple of adults to let him go with them on the double black diamond, since I didn't think I could, more on that later) when thunder shut down the park. They offered rain vouchers so we could come back the next day, which was pretty unexpected. Since we were only in Raleigh for the weekend we went back on Sunday for another visit in the heat. This is where our experience really shone. After gaining confidence on a second trip on the single black diamond with my ten-year-old zipping across it, I told my oldest son we could try the double black diamond. Wow, that is a TOUGH course. They aren't kidding when they say you need exceptional strength and agility....and I didn't have it. I got four obstacles in before I had to call it out of pure exhaustion, then to be rescued by the very kind Rashaun and Kendy, who were extremely nice about having to come get me from a platform and lower me down. I know the course is not impossible, though, because in the time it took for me to decide I needed rescuing, my son had gone on ahead and finished it, leaving himself wildly proud of his accomplishment. All in all, we spent about five hours here in a blazing hot weekend and loved every minute of it. The park is shaded to protect from the sun, and there are cold drinks for sale (though personally I think access to water and an ice machine would be a good upgrade). The staff is phenomenal, and their policies make a good blend of flexibility and safety. read more

This is a must do if you like adventure. The staff is helpful. The area is very clean. The bathrooms are safe and clean. It was a fun experience. A lot of core, balance and arm strength workout but didn't feel like a workout. I sweated due to the adrenaline of possibly loosing grip and falling to my death. This is my wife's and my 2nd visit and although we are in our 50's, it makes for a fantastic date night! The courses range from extremely easy for the kids to unbelievably difficult. The harness appeared almost new and very durable. The "pinchers" clasp onto the safety cables in a way that allows each person to navigate independently while providing ample safety. They can be slightly finicky at times, but once attached, you will not fall. The instructor provided plenty of guidance during the initial briefing and checked everyone's fittings. There was also staff positioned around the facility with walkie talkies to help if anyone had any challenges. My thumbs-up for a fantastic experience! read more

So. Much. Fun! Yeah, I wasn't sure what to expect from Treerunner after grabbing a GroupOn for their adventure course but it worked out great. Scheduling a visit was super easy, you sign an online waiver and bring some gloves along if you can (they have some available, too). Once onsite, check in and go through a short safety course. Once you're trained you go to the main landing which gives you access to all their challenge courses. We worked our way up from easy to medium and each one takes 15 to 20 minutes. Interesting thing is you are up there by yourself, the safety equipment forces you to always have one clip locked into a safety line. Anyhow the courses are pretty challenging, I found the tight-rope courses difficult and scary. And even though you're clipped in and safe, it feels SUPER-scary. Most courses have one or two zip-lines which is your reward for a challenging course. All-in-all a super fun way to spend the afternoon. You'll feel accomplished, you'll feel sore but you'll definitely feel like you've had an adventure! read more

Such a fun activity if you're in the greater Raleigh area! We've done a similar, obstacle-based course elsewhere and were excited to find the Adventure Park. This puts the power in your hands to have as much or as little adventure as you'd like with your climbing comfort. The night climb added an extra level of fun and difficulty for us. Be warned: the second black Diamond level is NO JOKE. All around, we had a great time and I would highly recommend it! The staff was super friendly and helpful. We actually got rained out the night we were supposed to climb but had no trouble scheduling to come back the following night. read more

Paid $20 for the night time adventure. It was a bit cold when we got there but the course warms you up. Staff was very friendly. Was pretty lonely. Lights all over the course so you can see. Had a blast went up to the medium course. Wish we could of done some of the hard ones but the medium was kind of a challenge. Awesome place to come make some memories. A fun and challenging upper body workout on ropes courses in the trees! Despite the area being rather small and condensed, there are actually a large number of courses to choose from! It's great that there are so many different paths for each level because it meant that we didn't have to wait for people in front of us. They have different levels of difficulty; you start at easy and then work your way up. However, once you've started a course, there's no easy way back down except to finish it -- so beware, and make sure you're able to complete it! Otherwise, they'll have to somehow get you down with a ladder. A few things could be improved (hence the 3 stars), including having a few points throughout each ropes course that allows for someone who's too tired to climb down. The equipment should be washed after use.... the gloves and some of the harnesses smelled like stale sweat. Additionally, there needs to be a bathroom with working lights and locking doors and soap. Otherwise, this place has a lot of great potential, and I would come back for another try once the improvements are in place! read more

There are some easier and more difficult Parcours to choose from, for all ages and dare levels. Very safe thanks to all the hooking up to the lines and the harness. March 19th 2023 was my first time going i took my son (8yrs old) i did not think i would have more fun than him. some of the obstacles were challenging and i was afraid to complete them we made it to level green. this was something we did as a family and I recommend it for an outing. the staff was very helpful and nice. that sunday it happen to be freezing however i kept my coat on which i think gave me some support while holding on at times. i would try again to complete the higher levels. read more

My kids and I loved it. We were welcomed by a very professional young person who went over how to use the excellent safety gear and safely manage the course elements. After a run through some training obstacles, the kids were ready to go. The girls (10 & 12) were off and running independently, and my 8 yr old and I went our way to a course appropriate for him. We were rolling steadily until the end. After getting lots of support from staff and other patrons, he made it through his nerves to get through the final zipline. Considering his past fears of heights (this one wasn't even that high) and dealing with anxious situations, his working through this course was wonderful confidence-building day. He zoomed through this course again in victory lap. We look forward to returning! read more

Great adventure. They show you the ropes, then off you go! You walk over "elements" 5m above the ground, protected by redundant safety cables. Challenge for balance, arm strength, and leg exercise. lovely arboreal surroundings. Two yellow's is about all I could handle, which would be about 1 hour of walking. Absolutely insane on them forcing you to wear a mask outside, which is absolutely not necessary or even a CDC guideline at the moment. But you walk 10' and they have another sign that it's optional as everyone is ontop of eachother in line to get on the course. Pretty sure it's illegal to force any individual to wear one outside! read more
