Dust on toy shelf
A.j. I.

Went here today with my two kids (2 year old & 11 month old). We went here for the first time because it's the week between Christmas and new years and daycare is closed. It was $18 for both of my kids no reservations needed and no time limit reasonable cost: It was out of control how busy it was and how apparent the place isn't maintained. We arrived at 9:30am 30 minutes after they opened. It was dirty. Nannies, mothers, fathers were there with kids from newborn to easily 8 years old. The majority of the guardians were not watching the children they brought instead they were drinking their coffee chatting with their friends. Kids were climbing the plastic playhouse (not meant to be climbed). There was one person working not really paying attention to kids playing she was too busy with a long line of people and coffee orders to make. It was so overcrowded and dirty (dirty toys and dirty floors) after a group of 3 or so girls maybe 6 or 7 years old screaming we packed up our stuff and left. Yes, is safe ish and controlled environment. It's hard how it's spaced out in different rooms. Difficult to navigate if you have more than one child with you. Also confused why they had a toddler car bed without mattress as a toy? The sensory room had bins that weren't organized and also not appealing toys to my kids at least. There are much butter options in the area than this. My two year old said he liked it but he also says he likes going to the doctor. We won't be back. Maybe their other locations are better.

Set up with no toys to play with in it.

Big Air Raleigh - Cosmic night

Big Air Raleigh

I've hosted birthdays at Big Air Raleigh before, so I know they are capable of doing better…read more Unfortunately, this most recent party was a terrible experience and not worth the money. Despite confirming details in advance and paying nearly $700, the event was disorganized from the start. We were given the wrong party room number, causing delays, and when the kids were ready to eat, the room and food were not prepared on time. The biggest issue was the ice cream. I had paid for ice cream for all guests, but only after the party started was I told they were out. I was advised mid party to buy something next door at Food Lion so my husband went to get ice cream--only for the manager to confront me in front of guests saying I couldn't serve it due to policy. After an embarrassing back‑and‑forth, they eventually allowed it, but the damage was done. My son's party was disrupted, and my guests witnessed unnecessary conflict. To make matters worse, billing confusion at the end left me feeling accused of not covering a guest, only for it to later be revealed as a miscommunication that left me feeling awkward because the venue involved the other family by calling them. The entire experience was stressful, embarrassing, and poorly handled. While the party host tried to be helpful, the management's lack of communication and professionalism ruined the celebration. I've been a loyal customer since they opened, but after this ordeal I am cancelling my membership. Customer service matters, and this event showed me Big Air Raleigh does not value it.

Committed to going based on its proximity to my home. Upon entry I was immediately pleased about how clean it looked and smelled. Most indoor playgrounds smell like feet. I observed employees cleaning the play area an equipment multiple times and we were only there for an hour. The space and planet theme was ever present in the play space. From space ships, to rockets, glow lights, and others images, my son enjoyed it. There was an area carved out for smaller toddlers and the rest was for kids no older than 8-10. It's freezing in there so parents or observers, be prepared. There's no concession stand like most places, but there are multiple vending machines. There is space to host Birthday parties and I imagine that they allow outside food since they don't serve any. Entry fee was comparable to similar facilities, but the fact that the place was so clean. Made it worth it. The membership price was higher than most, but I think I'm going to pay it simply because of how clean it is and close it is to my home. My son enjoyed his time here. The staff was friendly, helpful, and alert to the happenings in the play space. I'll probably host a future Birthday party in this space. The space is ideal for younger kids. Take the tweens and teens to the feet smell filled places!

I can't say this often for indoor playgrounds (as they are typically overstimulating and smell like…read morefeet) but I'm elated to write this review today about Hyper Kidz in Durham, NC. Our experience was top notch. The prices are extremely affordable compared to other indoor playgrounds and trampoline parks and they also offer a military discount on top of that. The soft play was executed well. We've been to several play places around the US to include Urban Air, Get Air, Jump Sky High (all trampoline parks) and Kids Empire type places and this one was the best out of all of them. The availability of separate play spaces for different ages was awesome. However, I truly believe the main reason this experience was as positive as it was is mostly due to the management of Daquan (DQ) and his staff. DQ was cleaning the entire time we were there. From vacuuming, to spraying and wiping down, to tidying up and interacting with kids... he was doing it all with excellence. His other staff member was super friendly as well. If other places had employees with work ethic even a tenth of the caliber DQ had, the world would be a better place and businesses would thrive. Hyper Kidz should take note and take good care of him! DQ, if you see this and want a career change in Florida, feel free to reach out and connect!

I've definitely been to a few that I thought were overpriced for what you get. I highly recommend this place. It's super affordable ($10 per child to start and cheaper when you are paying for more than one kid, better value overall to get a monthly membership which I believe starts at $34 a month). It pays for itself if you just come here 3x a month or more. They've also got little snacks for sale up at the front desk and you can purchase socks for $1 (they've got music notes on them haha). We arrived early around 9:20am when the inflatable bounce houses were still getting filled but the doors were open and the person at the front desk said it was unexpectedly busy this morning! The place gets pretty busy but emptied out around 11:30 when I assume most people left to go get lunch/put kids down for nap time. Tons of cute little snack tables and chairs for the smaller kiddos and bigger ones for waiting parents/grandparents/caretakers etc. Lots of sanitizer on every counter. They also had Kleenex boxes out (they know their audience) and Clorox wipes at the front desk. There's 2 big bounce houses (a blue one and a red one). The red one is more for jumping and running around in circles and the blue one has a rainbow "floor" interior that is super fun to run across. There are also 2 karaoke rooms with an expansive music selection, colorful overhead lights, and microphones which you ask for from the front desk. They've got the giant piano on the floor like the one from the movie 'Big'. They've got music classes which I believe take place in the back near the restrooms. Love the giant guitar slide and it makes guitar sounds when you slide down. I went down the slide as well and it goes super quick!! I was definitely more scared going down than climbing up haha. Oh and they provide a shelf of croc sandals to wear if you need to rescue your frightened child (I made use of them). I could really go on forever about how amazing this place is. Absolutely exceeded expectations. Incredible experience and place and definitely will be returning!!

The play area is open and spaced out with a nice variety of musical things to play with. Before coming, I really was curious if there'd be enough to keep the little one interested. Big or little, the kids will be interested! By musical things, think less handheld instruments and more installments for lack of a better word, such as the interactive world map where touching the musical note plays music of that geographic location. The percussion pots and pans and bells room was a big hit. My toddler wasn't ready for the big guitar slide, with climbing handholds and bars, but was able to enjoy everything else, including the small slide. I found it easy to carry my infant around and plop him on the floor from time to time with little worry. Some bigger kids run around but there are many side areas that are safer for the wee babes. There's music playing in the background and of course sounds coming from the many installments, and children shrieking. But overall, I didn't find the sound to be too loud or nauseating like it can be in some restaurants and such. There's plenty of space to enjoy snacks outside of the play area and clean bathrooms. The staff I checked in with were quite friendly. Oh and I really thought the price per child to be reasonable compared to most other indoor museums and play places. We will definitely be back!
