Treepublic's installation and design of our battery backup system several years ago was impeccably executed. (At the time, it was one of the largest private home installations in LA.). Their field tech staff is knowledgeable, expert, and have been able to efficiently fix every issue that has cropped up - issues which, it must be said, have always been post-rain short circuiting related to the initial panel installation that was done by *a different company*. I would have to agree with another reviewer that historically their response to service call-out communications has been muddled and slow. However, they seem to be ironing this out. For my most recent call-out, they replied within a day and had a tech on site within a week. Since the issue was only an Enphase microinverter reporting fault and did not impair actual power delivery functionality, waiting a week was not an issue. read more

We recently completed a full solar + battery installation with Treepublic, and overall it was a great experience from start to finish. We did a lot of research going into this project and had a pretty specific vision of what we wanted -- including battery storage, system sizing, and long-term efficiency. The team was receptive to that from day one and worked with us instead of pushing a one-size-fits-all solution. Communication was solid throughout the process. As with any solar project, there were a lot of moving parts (permitting, inspections, utility coordination), but they kept things moving and were responsive whenever we had questions. Installation itself was clean and professional. The conduit runs and equipment placement were well done, and everything looks neat and intentional -- which definitely matters for a system you'll be living with long-term. We also appreciated how they handled the more complex parts of the project, including battery integration and working with LADWP for interconnection and net metering. That process can get confusing, but they helped guide it through to completion. System has been up and running smoothly, and we're already seeing the benefits in terms of reduced grid usage and better control over our energy. Shoutout to Omar and the team for getting us across the finish line. If you're looking for a company that's knowledgeable, flexible, and able to handle a more customized setup, Treepublic is a solid choice. read more

This will be a lengthy review. I've held back on leaving this review for over a year because I really wanted to like this company and because they made a very good first impression. However, I'd like to make anyone aware who considers Treepublic as their solar installation company that their service leaves much to be desired. Since the installation of our solar system we've had several malfunctions that required intervention (fixes to the wiring and software related issues). Each time things played out along those lines: 1. I make a service call and/or leave a message with someone. Nobody gets back to me for days at a time. 2. I repeat service requests via email and voice mail 2-3 times before someone finally gets back to me, requesting detailed documentation. At this time usually about 2 weeks have passed since my initial reach-out. 3. The person that gets back to me assigns someone else to the service and that person usually isn't available for another week. When the assigned person arrives, that have no record of the issue and absolutely no information of the problem. All documentation that was already shared with Treepublic has gotten lost somewhere along the chain of command. 4. The assigns technician decides that they don't have the right expertise to solve the problem and reach back out to the office. 5. The loop repeats. I will also not a couple of positives and the reason i cannot assign one star: 1. The sales process was great and the sales rep was knowledgeable, making smart suggestions for the design of the system. 2. The installation process it's self was smooth, timely and professional Where Treepublic plainly sucks is on the communication front and when it comes to service after the initial installation. In our case the trouble started already prior to the installation: 1. After the final design was set and after a person had already measured our roof in person we signed the contract. After signing the contract we were suddenly told that the out roof could for 2 fewer panel than what was in the contract. I guess that can happen, but nobody ever owners up to the apparent mistake made when measuring the roof and writing the contract. 2. Once the correction had been made to the contract and installation was about to commence we were told the afternoon before the installation that the panels we had ordered were not available and that they would install somewhat less efficient panels instead. They offered a small adjustment to the contract instead. I mean ok, but shouldn't you offer some heads-up for such a change in specs and amend the contract first? My impression is that this is a company full of capable individuals but there always seem to me too many people involved shuffling information back and forth and things inevitably get lost in the shuffle. Too bad. read more

Updating my review as of June 2026. To Treepublic's credit, they recently reimbursed $707.85 in sales tax that we first brought to their attention in December 2025. Apparently there was "an error in a QuickBooks template," and we appreciate that correction. However, our project remains unresolved. One remaining issue involves a SoCalGas incentive of $3,569.25 (SGIP Project ID #SCG-SGIP-2024-5470). Since September 2024, we have repeatedly asked Treepublic to answer a small number of straightforward questions regarding this SGIP application and its cancellation history. Rather than summarize the matter here, I have attached a three-page timeline compiled from Treepublic's own emails and records. We will gladly update this review again when the project is fully resolved and the outstanding issues have been addressed. read more

I'm really glad I chose Tree Public. I purchased my system in 2023, and recently I had an issue where condensation wasn't evaporating properly, which caused my breaker to trip. I reached out to Omar, and he took care of me right away. Nothing in life is perfect, and I understand that issues can happen, but what matters most is how a company responds when they do. Omar had someone out the very next day, they fixed the problem, and I was back up and running with no hassle. Tree Public has been easy to work with and has followed through on every promise. I haven't had an electric bill since 2023, and I'm so thankful I went solar when I did, one less bill to worry about! If you're thinking about solar, give Tree Public a call, you'll be happy you did! read more

Treepublic installed our combined solar/battery system in early 2022 and did a wonderful job. I am writing this review now as a follow-up 4+ years later to state that the system has worked flawlessly since installation and I would still reccomend interested parties to contact them, especially Omar, to get the exact system you want. We spent hours with Omar to address every concern I had at the time and to understand exactly what the performance would be based on the time of year so we could adequately design a system to provide backup power if and when needed. Omar also provided support in getting every tax credit available, even a less used credit for those utilizing battery energy storage in higher fire risk areas. Our system is 10 kW solar generation with 30kWHr storage. read more

Cory from Treepublic was awesome during the design walking us through each step, and even help locate additional finance options. Three years later the system is still going strong, and Cory even helped out with a pesky HOA by directing us to state laws that prohibited the changes being requested. read more

Treepublic successfully installed my 7.48 kW solar system before year-end as promised, and the system is now live on Enphase and performing well. Despite end-of-year demand, the team prioritized my project, communicated clearly, and delivered clean, professional workmanship. The system uses high-quality JA panels with Enphase IQ8 microinverters, and my monitoring setup was completed the same day. I appreciate their responsiveness and the way they stepped in at the executive level to ensure everything stayed on track. Overall, a solid experience and I'm very satisfied with the installation and performance. read more

My husband and Imet with Vince from Treepublic. He and at.Treepublic were responsive and worked with me throughout the process of getting our solar panels and battery installed! We hit a few bumps along the road, but he stayed with me through the process either explaining or getting action! They did a great job and did everything as promised. I would recommend this company as well as working with Vince! Thank you read more

We used Treepublic to install our solar panels (and fix the roof at the same time) a few years ago and they did a great job. We just went back to them to get solar batteries installed. We were fed up with day-long outages and with the fact that SCE pays us less for the power we generate than they charge us to use when the sun is not out. The battery installation process was smooth from the initial consultation to decide which battery brand, to planning where to put them, to getting them installed and approved. Thank you Treepublic! No more loss of power for us! read more

I just wrapped up a fairly extensive solar + battery project with Treepublic in the Conejo Valley and could not be happier with their team. While projects of this scale almost always have hiccups, Omar and his team were communicative with me throughout the entire process and delivered on what they said they would. My project was completed prior to the year end cutoff for the federal tax credit, and I know his guys were slammed with any customers trying to finish during the same period. They were willing to come out rain or shine, at all hours of the day to ensure that my project was done on time. Having gone through this process with Tesla directly at a prior home, it was such a relief to have project advisors that I could reach whenever needed, and text with about project updates or if I had a random question about the system. They take pride in their work and it shows. Highly recommend. read more

My experience with Treepublic was quick with a one day installation. No problems and the installation crew was effiecent and helpful. The follow-up inspection was completed with out any inspector changes needed. I would recommend Treepublic for their expertise with a solar battery installation and set up. I am grateful for their sevice. read more

I had a disappointing experience with Treepublic that I feel others should know about. I reached out to them to expand my existing solar system (with a Franklin battery) after a recommendation from Franklin Battery System. Unfortunately, the surveyor they sent had clearly never encountered a Franklin system before. He even refused to inspect the equipment boxes properly, insisting I do his job. On top of that, he asked my wife to contact Sunnova--the original solar installer--rather than examine the roof panels himself. Following this disappointing site visit, I lost confidence in Treepublic and asked management to cancel our contract. Months later, I received a check refunding my deposit minus the cost of the inspection (per the memo line) with no apology, follow-up call, or explanation. Key concerns: The surveyor lacked knowledge of Franklin systems--a red flag for a "professional" solar company. I had to handle the inspection tasks myself, which is unacceptable. Cancellation occurred only after I asked, and their response consisted of a lone check--no communication, no closure. Regrettably, I cannot recommend Treepublic. Their lack of expertise and follow-through tarnished what could have been a smooth expansion process. read more

I'm very suspicious of all of these positive reviews. We were met with severe incompetence the entire TWO YEAR process of getting solar through them. Honestly, it's too much to write down in a Yelp review, but they were impossible to get ahold of and made serious errors with the city. We didn't pass inspection, etc. The list goes on. read more

This is an update to my original review which was based on mostly the battery installation experience. Post battery installation and subsequent issues with app configuration and redo to include a whole house backup, the company made good on ensuring that the battery system and app were working correctly. I called the Franklin support and they told me the battery controller wasn't set up correctly; but ultimately it turned out to be a Franklin issue not Treepublic issue. I received a personal call and apology from the CEO and he assured me that their customer support and service was indeed very customer focused. He fell on his sword for initially missing the whole house setup and furthermore brought in a dedicated rep to handle my rebate which ultimately came. It all comes down to communication and mutual respect and taking care of the client which Treepublic did. Their sales rep was consistently in touch and worked diligently to ensure that my experience, even if somewhat rocky in the beginning, had a good and satisfactory outcome. read more

We had a terrific experience with Treepublic, doing a slightly complicated expansion of our existing solar system. The whole team was responsive and explained all our options clearly, and they got the system installed on time (very important to qualify us for federal tax credits before they expired at the end of 2025). When the panels they'd put in the proposal were out of stock, they used slightly better panels at no extra cost. They have continued to check in to monitor and ensure the system is working well, and even checked our bills and recommended switching to a different billing plan within LADWP to save us more money. Highly recommended! read more

Cory was straight forward when talking about adding a battery to my current solar system. He's not there to just make a buck, but went above and beyond to make sure I knew what my needs were and what the options are. It's rare these days to speak to someone who job is to sell but at the same time is truly looking out for the customer. Cory educated me about battery systems, costs pros and cons. Definitely talk to him if you are thinking about adding a battery to your current system. read more

I'm so happy that we chose Treepublic for our solar needs. From the beginning of the process up and through today, every aspect of my interactions with the company and all their staff, from the owner Omar, the production team including Chad and DJ, and the awesome installers like Carlos, and the back office lead Dominique, have all made it so clear to me that Treepublic is the only place to go for any solar needs. My process started when I was signed with a different contractor who abandoned the project, and I'm so happy Omar and Chad gave me a chance and took on my project. They gave me a great value for the services and have been and continue to be patient with my home build and all the little intricacies involved. Today, Carlos and his crew installed my panels. They look great! I'm uploading a photo of one of the three arrays. Thanks again, Treepublic, see you again soon (after stucco!). read more

I have found complete redemption with Treepublic after a horrendous experience with another solar company. Treepublic is top notch! From the initial call to follow ups to the payment process to installation. Every step has been an outstanding experience. I was even able to speak to another customer before committing which meant a lot. They are right in my neighborhood and my only regret is that I didn't find them sooner. I don't even know where to start. Solar installation is such daunting and overwhelming work, I didn't know what to ask for or who to trust. We almost got scammed into SunRun or similar solar. Corey and his team were beyond helpful. I was referred to them by my solar company for repairs. No one ever called. I called them four times and they never called back. Finally had to find someone else. read more

Treepublic installed my solar panels May 2023. Very professional installation with quality components. System has been working well generating plenty of power without any issues. This past December 2025, we had torrential rainstorms around the holidays like we have not seen in along time. Unfortunately a leak occurred in one of our upstairs bedrooms. The drywall ceiling actually separated and water was pouring in. I contacted Treepublic to have someone inspect the leak. They were swamped with work, but Omar did get back to me. Carlos and Gomez worked on inspecting and repairing the leak in and around the solar panels. It was difficult to say if the solar panels caused the leak, but Treepublic did not hesitate to fix the problem. A real test of the repairs was last week when we had three days of heavy rain. I am happy to report there were no leaks! Treepublic backs their work and instills customer confidence. I would not hesitate to recommend this solar company. Thanks to Omar, Carlos and Gomez! read more

I just had a 20kW solar system installed by treepublic. This includes two Enphase E10 batteries (20kW storage) which is what really makes this system special. The Enphase System Controller 2 (transfer switch) forms a microgrid which can operate completely independently of the utility. If power goes out, the sun can power the house and charge the batteries at the same time, and the controller has precise realtime management over the power output of each microinverter installed under every solar panel, making it extremely efficient (a feature not available with other brands). This was a custom install with the REC400AA solar panels completely hidden from street view on the flat part of the roof, with the first row reverse-tilted south, and with the backup loads electrical subpanel matching my Cutler Hammer CH series main panel. What I was most impressed with treepublic's work was the beautiful attention to detail for the electrical installation. All the people involved with the electrical aspect are masters at designing the equipment interconnections, nicely bending conduits, choosing the ideal connector accessories, and doing everything properly according to code, while making everything tidy and neat looking on the wall. I am especially pleased about this because this is the part I was most nervous about going into the project (if a contractor messes up the electrical, it can cause endless nightmares down the road). No such worries with this install. The E10 batteries are awesome because they have LFP chemistry which is more durable and safer than the old style NMC lithium batteries, and the better safety allows more mounting options. In my case I chose to have them mounted up high on the wall where they are shaded by the roof eave. Sales engineer Vladimir was great at helping me design the solar panel layout to maximize every inch of space on the flat roof while complying with the fire code setbacks. The owner, Omar, personally got involved in a lot of the design as well, especially in the later stages of the project. He told me the story about how he first grew his business by designing the solar system at his own house, along with a rainwater capture system, and offering his services to neighbors, so he has a genuine passion for harnessing what nature provides. Based on my experience I highly recommend getting a treepublic battery system for getting the most out of Time-of-Use (TOU) rate plans, eventual changes to net metering policies, and for some independence from future California blackouts with increasing strain on our electric grid. read more

I had been thinking about solar for around 6 years. With all the really bad reviews of solar companies it can be pretty paralyzing. A friend introduced me to Austin T from Tree public. He told me about Tree Public, and said the company is top notch. The reviews say the same thing, and Austin has an honest way that comes across strongly. So I pulled the trigger and bought solar through them. TreePublic was every bit as good as Austin said. Thoroughly professional, prompt, conscientious, and customer service oriented. As good as the work was, Austin was better. A true find. He held my hand through the whole process and explained everything that was happening and why as we went along. When I didn't understand things or had questions about timing he always immediately answered any question(s) I had or got me in touch with someone that could right away. He always responded immediately. I call Austin my "solar concierge" and he & TreePublic made a potentially confusing, stressful experience a great experience. read more

If one is looking for a company to install solar panels and a whole house back up battery system I can whole heartedly recommend Treepublic. I started working with Sean Sprague who helped design and subsequently was the lead salesperson on the project. What is so great about Treepublic is that everyone affiliated with the company is a salaried employee, no free-lance contractors who disappear once the deposit is paid. The pricing is fair, the workmanship is top quality and everyone at Treepublic is totally accessible, including the owner, Omar, who personally came to my house to deal with some last minute design issues, to assist with whatever needs to be done.
