As many of you that read my reviews already know that I've become a huge thrifter. Which takes me…read moreto the lone "Goodwill" store in the college community of Davis, CA. Located in a fairly quiet yet spacious strip mall at the corner of E. 8th St. and M St., this particular Goodwill has been serving the Davis community since early-2013. Since it was my first ever time checking this store out (which was for about 45 minutes), I had a pretty good idea how this review would pan out. I came here during the evening on Saturday 7/25/2026 at around 7:00pm. Parking was relatively easy to find while the building showcases the business name in very large blue letters; definitely not easy to miss. There is also a dedicated donation area adjacent to the rear right of the building. And as is the case with many other Goodwill locations around Northern California, this one is open 7 days a week from 9:00am to 9:00pm. Upon entry, one noticeable thing about this Goodwill is that it is significantly smaller than many other locations. The mustard-colors walls give this a slightly more 'boutique' style look while mens/womens/kids apparel, shoes, books, and DVDs are laid out fairly well. There is also an additional room that is separate from the main floor that boasts housewares, kitchenware, and small appliances. This is also where two gender neutral restrooms are located. Sadly, this Goodwill (and just about every other one) eliminated fitting rooms. The reason for 3 stars? I have noticed that prices here are a tad bit higher than what you'd find at the Sacramento locations. Their selection is fairly decent but I only left with just a couple small items. Would I recommend it? Absolutely since the merchandise changes on just about a daily basis. But for me, this Goodwill was just average at best for me which is why I am giving them a 3-star rating.
