We are already regretting leaving some things behind and plan to come back and scoop them up when we find ourselves out there again. I did pick up a vintage handkerchief in the most beautiful pattern. There was a beautiful mix of vintage and new items and the store was curated and each section was designed in such unique and creative ways. I honestly can't say enough good things about this store. The perfect place to pick up a gift for someone, I saw so many lovely items that loved ones would be so thrilled to receive. Don't pass this up if you are visiting, this is a store that will make special memories for you and your travels. The best part is that it's tucked in the lovely historical Woodland with wonderful coffee, food, desserts all around. Have lunch and then stop in and have a little adventure. Lastly, I believe we met the shop owner when he was there and he was so helpful, kind, and welcoming. So, when you support community stores like this you are supporting people that truly care about your business and time.

As she walked to the back she yelled at my friend who apparently had gone in an area off limits! That curled my stomach and wanted to walk out. We browsed a little more, then I wanted to pay for my item. All I had was a $50. She said I can't break that in a nasty tone. I asked if she took debit cards. Only if you spend $10. I said oh well. She said, guess you aren't having a good day. I said I am having a GREAT day and walked out. What a rude lady!

My latest find was a pair of loafers I'd been on the hunt for, and they were also half off. The selection here is a step up from thrift stores, but still totally budget-friendly. I've picked up some great work outfits, plus jeans and casual stuff, too. The shop is well-organized and easy to browse. It's located on Main Street, between First and College. There's street parking, and also a lot around the corner on College. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area!

First, let me say that I was at a total loss for where to go for what I needed. I have a ring. that…read morewas my great aunt's, and it has a great deal of sentimental value. It's an antique setting and it's a very beautiful piece. However, a number of years ago the setting broke, causing it to dig into my finger and it had to be cut off my hand. As a result of that and the age of the setting, the ring essentially split in half. In the process, I managed to lose two of the small diamonds on the side of a larger stone as well. So here I had this beautiful family heirloom, and it was a total mess. It had been sitting in my jewelry box for years. I wanted to give it to my daughter, but definitely not in two pieces with missing stones. But where do you take something like this? And how do you trust someone with something so special? Add to this, I am new to Woodland. So on a whim, I figured I would ask some of my neighbors in our neighborhood Facebook group. I received a lot of recommendations. I also have a lot of trust in yelp. Eventually, I decided I would just go to DJs and see how it felt. The woman there was fantastic. I could tell immediately that she recognized the type of piece this was and I instantly felt like I could trust her. She told me that it was a family business and I sensed from everyone that they really care about what they do. She was able to get me an estimate right away, and I decided I would leave my ring with them. They were a couple of options: I could get it done quickly for a surcharge or wait until their next repair date, which was about two weeks away. I was in no rush. They actually finished the ring a day early! And it's beautiful. It's perfect. And I really feel like it was a reasonable price for the repair. My understanding is they do custom work as well and I have a few ideas. I would love to run by them in the future. In this world of chain stores and online stores, it's nice to find a truly family owned business, particularly when you are dealing with something precious. They really care! Highest recommendation!
