Horrible and dangerous place. I am a small female and the admissions guy shoved me so hard when i tried to walk in after already paying and i had a wrist band on. When i asked his name he said "deez nuts". The bouncer came up to me and said i had too much "privilege" ... i am Hispanic and race had nothing to do with this. Reached out to management and never got a response. They clearly do not care. I told someone who lives in Savannah i went here and they said and i quote "i was lucky i didn't get shot". Strong drinks... good music... dancing... great weekend spot! The bartender was very quick and attentive. Drinks were strong and there were tons of people there on a Saturday night. The DJ played fun music and the dance floor was crowded with people having a blast. There are small balcony areas on each side of the bar too, with some tables. Not safe. My daughter was attacked here on Saturday Sept 4th. She was attacked by a young woman. The bouncer did not remove the woman who put her hands around my daughter's neck. He took her out of the bathroom line. Choking is an intent to kill. Then when my daughter and her friends decided to leave they had to walk past this woman, who followed her out the door and grabbed her by the hair and pulled her to the side walk and pounded her head to the ground. I want to give this place 4 stars for the DJ/music alone, but I just can't because of the bathrooms (eww), $10 minimum for credit cards and the lack of air conditioning. When I tell you that this place was HOT, I'm not sure that I could accurately describe it. Sweat was rolling down our backs. I was glad we were dressed casually. One of the bright notes were the outdoor balconies where we could watch pedestrians walk by and get a little air. There's one for non-smokers and another for smokers. My girlfriends and I had finished a late dinner and were looking for a place to dance and listen to some R&B and hip hop. This was definitely the place. The DJ was poppin' - mixing old and new in a very accessible way. The crowd was mixed. Younger and older and many races. We all drank, danced and sweated together. Fun times! Poor management and customer service. The establishment looks vibey and had a great live band, but the bartenders would entice you to order doubles, to then skimp you your double! When we went to the bartender and asked if he could remake our double shot drinks, he dumped our current drinks, made us new ones, then tried charging us AGAIN. Multiple people in our group got skimped by the bartenders and the manager kicked us out when we tried to resolve the dispute in a civil manner. This place is a college bar and nothing more. I started a tab and by the time I got my card back, Citibank was emailing about fraud. They stole my card number, sent it to someone and charged a bunch of things in Florida. DO NOT START A TAB HERE. I was in town to get away from New York during the Corona era and this bar definitely had no clue there was a national issue which actually made me kind of happy. Also the music was a serious blast from the past with the early 2000 hits the entire few hours I was there. I wanted to go in because the décor looked really cool from the outside. I got tricked into paying $5 for this place on the Friday night of my fiancé's homecoming weekend, back in October. It was jam packed with a bunch of drunk people hopping and bouncing around. It was really a waste because we ended up leaving about 15 minutes later. I did not mind paying the $5 , because cover can be 4 times as much in Atlanta, but the crowd drove us away. Also, the same night the other comparable bars were not charging a cover. The next day the bar was charging $10 while others were either $5 or free. They don't really play a lot of new hip hop music, and they cater to a pop crowd, with older r&b/rap hits. I would give them a try again on a night when they are not charging, and that would be after reviewing the other stuff on the strip first. read more

Bad experience. I was in a group of 15 people and we decided to stop by this bar around 4 o'clock on a Friday during our Slow Ride Bar Crawl because the bar was relatively empty . The bartender made it seem like it was a chore to serve us drinks. He yelled at a few of people for not showing IDs right away (even though they were not ordering anything). He even kicked one of us out for having a newly expired license (even though we were all clearly above the age of 21). On top of the service being rude, the place smelled like piss and mildew. Went on a Saturday night with a long wait to get in and a $10 cover. Once we got upstairs, it was unbearably packed to the brim. Despite the amount of people in the bar - there was ONE bathroom for girls and ONE for guys. Absolutely absurd bathroom line and a total disaster inside. Was having a great time with my boyfriend until visiting the bathroom! I was pushed to the ground by one of the bathroom security for asking a question. After reporting it to one of the hired security/ police officers he stated there was nothing he could do since he didn't see it and told me I had to leave the club! I was persuaded here by a group of guys from Jersey after a wedding... I was not impressed. Not even a little. Maybe I'm getting old or maybe I've lived in a city that has clean bars with no cover charges for far too long... It really reminded me of shitty dive clubs in Harvard Square or downtown Boston from my college days. It was bad. Really bad. The $5 cover charge should've been my first indication to leave as fast as I could! There's a line on the dance floor which begins the line for both bathrooms (1 Mens and 1 Womens) so this means if you're waiting in line, you are most likely getting drinks spilled on you from the drunk dancers. Or you may even be getting danced on when all you wanna do is use the bathroom. They also have a bathroom guard... weird. There is absolutely zero clean up for spilled drinks. The aforementioned drinks are ridiculously priced and there is a minimum credit card charge. I'm sorry but REALLY? This is 2014, you are a bar with plenty of people buying drinks to make up for any card fees, and there is new technology which can minimize your card fees. It was SO SUGARY I, nor my boyfriend, could drink it. We hit up treetops on a Saturday for drinks after our tour. The music was great. They played quite a mix of old shook hip hop and current. The drinks (liquid marijuana) was fabulous, and the bartenders were quick and courteous. Let me preface my review by saying this is one of my back up places. Like, everywhere else is either too full or too dead, or I'm in City Market and I don't wanna wander too far. By the time I get here, I'm usually done drinking, so I can't attest to their bartenders or their prices. All I can discuss is the atmosphere. The dance floor is TINY, which can be a good thing...it's so much easier to dance when you don't feel like you can be stared at, or at least discered from the others in a massive, dancing mass. However, finding a spot to dance in can be difficult. But the music is usually good and fun to dance to. The outdoor seating areas are nice, but always super full. But it is really nice to be able to stand outside and look down at the people on the streets, imagining how their nights are going and talking shit about their outfits. Was in this business a total of 10 minutes. Spent $10 cover on a party of 3 for a total of $30. Went upstairs to find out that the minimum charge on a card was $10. They opened a tab and I immediately told them to charge the 10 minimum and close the tab and return the card instead of keeping it. The bartender left instead of following through. Another bartender asked if I was okay. I told him that the tab need to be closed and card returned. He asked if there was a problem. I said yes since the previous bar keep left. He immediately motioned for law enforcement to remove us from the facility. Without question we were immediately thrown out because I was uncomfortable with the business holding onto the charge card. I told law enforcement that I just wanted the card closed and returned, they told me that the business wanted me to leave. Total scam since $10 cover charge was paid before entering the business. 0/10 take you business elsewhere. These people are just here to take your money. read more

WORST BAR IN SAVANNAH! I will NEVER come here ever again. I have been here multiple times before when visiting Savannah from Charleston, SC. The last time I went to Tree house the bouncer was extremely rude and discriminated me because I am a man. The bouncer looked at my drivers license and said it was a fake id, then ripped it in half, told me that I cant come in. I am 24 years old, and the bouncer was an stupid asshole, because last time I checked the DMV in South Carolina does not sell fake ids. The next day I contacted the owner over the phone, told him what happened, and ask for him to pay to replace my ripped drivers license, the owner said he would talk to the bouncer to see what happened. I never heard back from the manager its been months. Also Homeless people are let in the bar ask you for money and to pay for their drinks. read more
