I have two…read moredogs: an 8 year old mini schnauzer, that has been process groomed for years & a 2 year old 50 lb Bernedoodle that has been professionally groomed once. She doesn't like loud noises to include electric razors and blow dryers. I have tried to groom them myself but keeping them still is definitely not easy. Finding someone to groom a 50 lb dog is also not easy! I decided to try Ali's at home dog grooming service because it's super convenient (located here in Lorton) and she works one dog at a time, reducing the stress the dogs feel about being in a strange, loud place. I made an appointment for the big dog as a test run. I can't do her myself. It was easy to make an appointment. Drop off was convenient. Ali was super friendly and the dog was super happy. She's a good judge of character. I came back about 2 hours later to a clean and adorable and still happy dog. Brought her home and all agreed that Ali had done a great job. Loved the grooming report I received on the experience, including the attached picture s. Made the appointment for the little dog and had an even better experience. I highly recommend the Paw Wash!

Danielle is friendly and reliable and most of all - she does a great job. We always go with a short cut on our Maltese for ease of maintenance and Danielle's cuts are very consistent. Our dog always looks the same, which is a big positive in my book. Other groomers have delivered inconsistent looks when we simply wanted the same haircut. The convenience of the mobile service is hard to beat too. It's a little more expensive than service at a brick and mortar building, but it's worth it in my opinion. You won't regret going with this business for your furry friend's grooming needs. Maria is working with just one dog --yours--from start to finish--so it's way less stress for your baby. I should also mention that Maria is the best, kindest, most competent dog groomer in the DMV. Full stop. If you have a small dog, don't even *think* about going anywhere else! Not only will your furbaby be gorgeously groomed, you will have the peace of mind of knowing he is being cared for by 1) someone who genuinely loves dogs, and 2) is also incredibly talented and experienced. I should've took this as a sign to just leave. Basic human interaction includes being polite and this place can't even offer that. Front desk receptionist needs to learn manners. Also as other reviews mention, their dog has come back with scratches and cuts on their skin. Manners aside, at least take care of the dog. Would never recommend this place to anyone. Save your money and go elsewhere to a grooming establishment with better customer service and genuine care for your pet.
