I brought my 5 and a half month old husky to Canine classics for the first time this week and I am so impressed! Huskies have a tendency to be very vocal and they were so patient with my girl. Her coat was beautiful after bath, blow out and brush. They trimmed her nails and the fur around her paws. And to top it off they put the sweetest bandana on her for pickup. Took my dog there and he ended up with a cut paw. Have had 3 visits to the vet over the last week, because he can't walk now, and when I called to let them know what had happened, they began shouting, saying nothing occurred while he was with them, and it must have happened when he left. Looks like this sort of thing happens often, for them to jump into fight mode. I was only calling to have them be cautious next time. Very poor customer service attitude. So disappointing. read more

I am new to the area and have taken my approx 45 lb Goldendoodle here a couple times. I had recently brought her in for a bath. Just a bath! Because she was dirty. She had been fully groomed at this location approx 5 weeks prior and I paid about 140.00. I went to pick her up and was told that the cost for the bath was 100.00. I was in shock! I said for what? The lady said she was extremely matted.. I reiterated that she was just there last month and got fully groomed! There is no way she was that matted. They had literally just shaved her on her last grooming.. needless to say, I will never be back to this place. My family has been taking our dog Sally to Canine Classics for years. You can tell these small business owners really LOVE their customers. After a HORRIBLE experience at a chain pet store yesterday (details in my reviews) I decided to take Sally to where I should have taken her in the first place. As soon as I walked in they recognized Sally and even ALMOST guessed her name correctly. Molly and Sally are very close. What class acts these people were. They treated Sally as if she was their dog. You just can't get that type of care from the large pet store chains. Forgive me Canine Classics for trying to go elsewhere, if it wasn't for the Trader Joe's next to that awful pet store I would never go there. Added June 2015: Thank you Canine Classics for taking such good care of Sally. She loved every visit we made. Sadly on June 20th 2015 Sally passed away. She is no longer in any chronic pain and can finally rest in peace. The Martin family will never forget your always professional and friendly store. read more

I haven't taken Sora back since they stopped grooming large dogs because of the owners back injury in 2016.They did do a great job before though. They also don't accept any payment except for cash, and get very angry when you ask how much your total is over the phone (how else am i supposed to know how much cash to carry)? It would probably be easier if their prices were consistently the same for the same services, but they're not and were different with each appointment even though they did the same service every time. When you ask why, they go on a huge rant about how much work they do, which I totally understand. I also understand they prices rise and fall, but everytime? I've never had that happen at a grooming salon and just needed some clarification. Somehow asking over the phone about why the price was higher (not $5 but more like $15) meant that i was unhappy with their service, which was not the case. If you can deal with attitude and misunderstandings on their part, this is the place to go since they DO do a good job, but remember, they don't do large dogs anymore. In the end, its all about the service rendered. 5 stars for how awesome the groom was previously, 2 stars for the ridiculousness of the ever changing prices. I hope its gotten better! read more

Everyone here was really very nice. This was my pups first time at the groomer and she seemed to be comfortable at Canine Classics. She wasn't overly afraid or freaked out when I picked her up. The staff was very friendly and gave her lots of love. I just didn't really like the cut they gave her. I went in and the lady didn't really even bother looking up my appointment to see what I was coming in for, so we had to go through the who thing again. She took good care of my pup, but they really messed up the top of her hair cut. One portion is almost scalped and right behind that is really long. It made her head look boxy and weird. Also, I told them to keep her body longer because it's so cold out but cut her legs, feet and face. They kept her legs longer than her body for some reason so when she runs in the snow it get tangled in her fur. I may give them another chance. They were very nice. I just really hate this cut. My cute, fluffy little girl looks a mess now. read more

Sheila and John are the absolute best!!! I've been taking my black & tan coonhound, Shelby, here once a month for 5 years. Every time it's time to go see "Mr. Johnny" aka John, Shelby gets uncontrollably excited. He runs to the door and starts jumping as if he can't wait to go to Canine Classics to get pampered. I drop Shelby off and I know my boy is in good hands. When I pick him up, Shelby doesn't want to leave (probably because "Mr. Johnny" gives him uber amount of treats!!). When Shelby gets in my truck, his coat is soft and shining bright, nails are cut to perfection and his ears are nice and clean. I couldn't ask for anything more from a groomer. I contacted Canine Classics per the recommendation of a business friend who's mother had regularly used the company for her dog over a period of several years. I arrived on time with a golden retriever who needed a complete makeover. The owner approached us in friendly manner & I noticed how comfortable my dog was with him. I was asked to return about 3 hours later for pick-up. When I returned my dog was happy, beautiful, hair flowing, ears & feet perfectly trimmed. He had been transformed into a beautiful golden who reported that he was quite happy with the staff and makeover. The staff is amazing which shows in their work & the calmness of their canine clients. This review is really 4.5 stars or maybe 4.75... Our little mutt went to the groomer for the first time in her two year old life. She's a Chi-mix with long silky hair. My mom, who took a grooming class, tried to do her a couple times but 1. didn't know what was the best cut for her breed and 2. couldn't get her wriggly butt to stay still. So, we took her to this place as it is just around the corner from home. When I called on the phone the guy said our 12 lb dog would be between 40-50 bucks. Which i think is excessive but, after calling around to other places, I guess is standard pricing. *shrug* Shelia is great with the dogs and offered an opinon on whether to trim the fur or shave...we went with shave. I warned her that this was the dog's first time and they got her in right away. We ran some errands and within 2-3 hrs they called to come pick her up! Really fast for a Saturday! The cut was very good, there were some "railroad tracks" and the head was still a bit shaggy but Shelia explained our dog wouldn't tolerate the clippers at the ears and was very wiggly. I knew this from before so I don't blame the groomer at all. All in all we are very pleased with the outcome. I kind of feel the silky head doesnt match with the now shorn body (which is where the minus .5 comes from) but that's not the groomer's fault. If mom still can't handle her, we'll take her right back to Canine Classics. We're SOLD on this place! :) read more

A little bit on the higher side in terms of cost, but honestly I feel better about spending money with a local business instead of a chain. Our little pup has been to this spot about 3 times now. She doesn't get afraid or nervous when we pull up and go in... which tells me that she must be treated well once I drop her off. When I call to make an appointment, they remember her (even though she's only been a few times). I'm pretty sure it's a husband and wife that own this place.. which makes me happy to see. We' ve been there just ones with both of our yorkies. Sheila did an amazing job. Our dogs are very hard to work with, they hate grooming and bathing. But Sheila managed to make them both soo pretty. We used to go to another groomer , but moved from that area and had to look fro new place to do grooming.
