This venue used to be a bank and has been restyled recently into an event space. I absolutely love the vault bar and how attentive the staff is to ensure everyone enjoys themselves. There's plenty of support to accomplish your dream and turn it into an impeccable evening and a memory your guests will talk about for years to come. If you're looking for a place to host your next event in the Jacksonville area, this is it!

Wonderful Vegan option - teriyaki tofu

Really good venue for a wedding we recently attended. Very beautiful inside, set up very well and planned. We started in the main room set up for the service, we were then moved to an adjacent room for a cocktail hour with appetizers while they broke down the main room. We moved back to the main room for a plated dinner. Not everyone was thrilled with the food, but I was. I requested a vegan meal and the teriyaki tofu was absolutely delicious. The dancing and set up for the reception I thought was better than the set up for the wedding. There are big columns that blocked your view of the service, but it was not an issue with the reception. Parking in this are of St. Augustine is awful, it is just a fact of life. Plan to arrive early, plan on having at least $20 in cash and just know it is coming.

I attended my cousin's wedding here last month and it was absolutely beautiful! The ceremony, reception, and cocktail hour were all held here. The reception was held in the same room as the ceremony so there was a bit of a wait for the room to be turned over, but it turned out gorgeous! I especially loved the bar in the vault, and the pyrotechnics and shadow display for the couple's entrance into the reception. The only thing that would have been better was more seating in the cocktail hour room, but I could see that potentially being impacted by the number of chairs being needed in the ceremony/reception ballroom. Still, a beautiful space with decent food.

My daughter had her wedding at the Lightner Museum last weekend and it was perfect. I'm leaving my review here because the Lightner is the sister venue to the Treasury. Brandy Boulette was our contact person from the Treasury who oversaw everything and she did a wonderful job. I told her I can't think of one thing to complain about! The Lightner is a beautiful and unique venue. We only found out that the Lightner did wedding receptions when the Treasury was booked on the date we wanted but we were very pleasantly surprised. I'd encourage anyone to check it out. The ceremony took place in the beautiful entryway then guests walked through the museum to get to the cocktail hour which was held in what used to be the Olympic size pool in what used to be the hotel. We had 170 guests and there was plenty of space. It was lovely from beginning to end.

Stopped by on a Wed night 4/6/16. Just passing by. Attracted to the music and beautiful entrance. An old bank it was. A new 'hotspot' it could be. Beautiful and very cool .Money has been spent here to bring it to where it is. UNFORTUNATELY, the staff on THAT night will bring it down faster than a meteorite. Poor service and attitude as well as no knowledge of their wines was SOOOO sad. What could be just might NOT BE. My husband and I have both been in the industry. If we had a free couple of years to spare would love to come and launch this place to it's potential. Good Luck . The look of the place and music is great

The owner renovated the inside so that it's got modern amenities and sleeps six people comfortably. The first time we visited the place, it was like an awakening. It was the PERFECT place for my husband and I to get have our wedding. Of course, we had 85 guests, so the ceremony had to be elsewhere, but this was perfect for the reception. It was the perfect size for everyone to move around freely and still have a small dance floor. Also the price is crazy good. You will NOT find a more reasonable deal in town. Bring in your own vendors and you can create a fabulous wedding on a modest budget. I'm not just saying that because I am the proud bride. I'm saying it because it's a recession and fabulous doesn't normally come cheap. And I don't throw the word FABULOUS around breezily. I'm deadly serious. Anyway, you get the place in all it's charm for three days and two nights. Then you can rent it for an extra day for a good price. And really, you just have to get rid of your trash because they clean and do laundry for you. How is that not perfect? Go there because it made my very special day amazing.

When originally searching for a wedding venue we had a few must-haves, which included a location with historical character, in driving distance from Orlando, and located in a town where out-of-state visitors could enjoy exploring. And so we focused in on St. Augustine. I had a good gut instinct about the Sanchez House from the moment I discovered them online, and I must shamelessly admit that I stalked the websites of every couple who had their wedding at the Sanchez House. We quickly booked a visit to the Sanchez House, because they are only able to hold 12 weddings a year due to being zoned in a residential area. We met with the owner, Blake, who shared with us the history of the home, gave tips from other weddings held on the premise, and shared some of his favorite vendors. When we experienced the venue in person, we fell even more in love with the charm that was evident around every corner of the house! The SH offers a brick courtyard, artificial turf front lawn, large gathering room, dining room, kitchen, office, two bedrooms, small one-car garage, and an attic. Not only can you hold your wedding events at the house, but you are able to stay there, as well. This allowed us and our bridal party, 6 in total, to stay at the house. So convenient! After booking the Sanchez House, we decided to extend our celebration into an entire weekend. Our events spanned from 50 to 90 guests, and SH accommodates them comfortably. The house is in an excellent location by the bay and walking distance to historic St. George Street. At the SH, we were able to select our own vendors. We held our ceremony in the courtyard which transformed to the dance floor. The front lawn was donned with a heated tent and tables on the coldest Florida winter day. It even snowed lightly! Guests had the chance to mingle throughout the house in the dining room, gathering room, and balcony. I would note that the parking around the SH can be challenging, but we gave plenty of parking options for guests through our wedding website and social media, and suggested our guests to stay at one of the nearby hotels or bed & breakfasts. I highly recommend the Sanchez House for any couple looking for an intimate St. Augustine venue!

About this oldest home González-Álvarez House Historic house in Florida, United States The González-Álvarez House, also known as The Oldest House, is a historic house museum at 14 St. Francis Street in St. Augustine, Florida. With a construction history dating to about 1723, it is believed to be the oldest surviving house in St. Augustine. It is also an important example of St. Augustine's Spanish colonial architectural style, with later modifications by English owners. It was designated a U.S. National Historic Landmark in 1970. The house is now owned by the St. Augustine Historical Society and is open for public tours as part of the Oldest House Museum Complex. Evidence can be seen of the Spanish, British, and American occupations of St. Augustine. The González-Álvarez House is located in a residential area south of downtown St. Augustine, on the north side of St. Francis Street between Charlotte and Marine Streets. It is a two-story structure, its first floor built of coquina and its upper level framed in wood with a clapboarded exterior. It is covered by a hip roof finished with wooden shingles. The building is reflective of multiple periods of alteration and enlargement, during different periods of colonial administration. The land on which this house stands has been occupied since the 17th century, when a building is documented to have been standing here. The present house's earliest period of construction dates to about 1723, when the first floor was built, and it was documented as being occupied by Tomás González y Hernández, an artilleryman at the Castillo de San Marcos, and his family. The design of this house is one that was adopted by Spanish colonial settlers to deal with local living conditions and available building materials. It was built of readily available coquina limestone, with its main thick walls oriented east-west, and has an open covered loggia on the east side. The latter allows prevailing southeasterly winds to cool the structure, while the thick walls provide insulation from hot weather. The interior floors are made of tabby concrete. After the British took over Florida in 1763, the González family left for Cuba. In 1774 the house was purchased by Major Joseph Peavett, an Englishman, who added the wood-frame second story, and put glass windows into openings previously only enclosed by wooden shutters. It was further enlarged by the third owner, Geronimo Alvarez, who added a two-story wing built of coquina. The house was taken over by the St. Augustine Historical Society in 1918, which undertook its restoration to a late 19th-century appearance in 1959-60, reversing a number of intervening alterations.
