The White Room made our wedding dreams come true. From the very beginning looking at all the venues in the White Room itself with Rebeccah who was very attentive and informative, we knew that the White Room was the perfect place for us. Every venue had its own style, and we decided to go with the Grand Ballroom for the ceremony and reception. The value you are getting for the money spent was incredible! The tasting that they host for clients was super helpful, and allowed us the opportunity to try the food us and our guests would be eating on the big day. We had the privilege of working with Giselle, who was INCREDIBLE! She was so attentive and responsive to any small or big question that we had. We had a lot of last minute changes with guests and she was so kind and understanding throughout. The day of the wedding itself was amazing, and everything went more smoothly than we could have imagined. We didn't have to lift a finger! Giselle was so supportive and calming throughout, and made us feel like we truly felt like royalty. So I recently visited beautiful St. Augustine for a wedding between two of the most wonderful people on the planet. It was a rooftop wedding. The view was spectacular and the sun was shining on a nice December afternoon. Bring your sunglasses. The reception was super nice and elegant. The tables were decorated beautifully and the food was exquisite. The meats were cooked perfectly and the veggies had that cooked-just-right snap to them. The staff was super attentive. Before the wedding, there were appetizers aplenty and after the wedding the drinks were constantly flowing. After dinner, the rooftop was completely transformed into a beautiful dancing stage with a DJ who played good music and lights strung up over everyone. It was such a beautiful night. We had our wedding at The White Room this past February & it was everything we dreamed of and more! When we booked the venue 10 months out, it almost felt like we were falling behind on the normal wedding stuff you have to do (decide on catering, pick linens, find bartenders, etc.) but that's the point! All of that is included which takes so much stress off of the bride. The only things not included are photographer/videographer, cake, DJ, officiant & flowers, but they have recommended vendors & during the tasting they bring these vendors to the venue so you are able to see their work & chat with them. We went to a tasting 2 &1/2 months before our wedding and got to choose what we wanted as far as apps, dinner, drinks and desserts. The packages made it easy, and they allowed you to make changes if there was something you didn't love. The food was absolutely amazing at the wedding! All of our guests still rave about it; the apps were hot and plentiful, the buffet was delicious and they made sure we had plenty of food as the bride & groom. They also kept out drinks full and never made us wait at the bar. Guests said they never had to wait a long time for drinks & drinks were delicious! They really did make the planning process so easy. Rebeccah was our coordinator & Bill assisted her. They were always available if we needed them & thought of things we might not have and just handled them. We did have to set up some of our own decor on the day of, but there's a package you can buy where they will do this for you if you choose. We were so lucky not to have a single thing go wrong on our wedding day & I think it was definitely due to the staff at the White Room. Can't say enough good things about them. I will be the first to say I've searched and talked with every possible event space (for our capacity) in downtown St. Augustine at least twice. I've hosted a few events in various locations in the old city over the years. The White Room was the best venue and staff I've dealt with hands down. We worked with Meghan to plan the event and start to finish she provided details, responses to questions, assistance in planning and overall gave us the best event coordinator experience ever. We booked our event for this past Friday night. We had 50 people and I was stunned that we could get the package we got, the space we got (Ballroom) and the service we got for our budget but we did!!! From the second we arrived to set up on Friday to the time we left the venue we all said this was the best. I was worried the ballroom would be too big for our party of 50 but they way they set it up table, food, dj and bar it just made the place feel perfect and the flow was great! I loved having a balcony for our guests, thankfully nights of lights was still going on for those who had not been able to see them yet this year. They even provided a greeter at the downstairs front door and sign to help direct our guests to take either the stairs or elevator up for the party. The staff passing the appetizers around were great. They were present during the entire hour and no one needed for anything. The bartender was quick, super sweet and I never saw a line for drinks or heard a complaint from anyone. The drinks were perfect. The food was awesome. We had the shrimp and grits martini bar and a prime rib carving station (delicious for both). Cheese and fruit bar and an awesome selection for desserts. At the end of the evening I told my husband that we've found our yearly celebration location for now on. Everyone was happy. The only downside for hosting a party in the Old City that I can think of is that parking is tricky. We were lucky b/c we were staying downtown that night but others did have to search for a space....this is something we all know about any time we visit the old city so I don't really feel like it is a con for the white room. The White Room gave us our dream wedding! While searching for wedding venues, my husband and I both came across The White Room on Google and decided on having the ceremony and reception in the ballroom. Rebeccah was our day-of coordinator and made the day SO easy and seamless! We upgraded to the "luxe" coordination and I would highly recommend it. Me and my husband just had to focus on the ceremony and having the time of our lives. Rebeccah and our reception manager Alan made sure we were both fed, always had drinks in our hand, and had everything we needed. Rebeccah bustled my dress while Alan brought Kyle and I a huge tray of appetizers to munch on before we were introduced to the reception. We even had quirky requests, like cutting a pizza instead of a cake, and they were able to accommodate with ease. I want to add that we're from south Florida, so we had to do most planning from afar. The White Room provided a list of their preferred and recommend vendors (we chose all of our vendors based on that list). Rebeccah took every one of my calls, replied to all my emails, and understood that hosting a huge party took patience and understanding. It's ok to put your trust in them! We had our wedding here earlier in March and had a great experience. In order to book the venue we had to put our deposit down in February of 2013, so be sure to get in early, or your likelihood of getting in are slim to none. Our first coordinator was Haley, but since we booked so early, we ended up getting a couple of different coordinators after - Meghan and then Tessa. All of them were incredibly responsive, friendly and helpful from start to finish. For both the rehearsal and big day Tessa was on hand and guided us through every step of the process. She ensured that we were happy with everything, made sure we were fed and had drinks and even baggied up food and cupcakes for us, that our family took to our room that night! They have tons of amazing preferred vendors, we used S&S Photography, John Reardon (officiant), Thompson Entertainment for DJ, Renee Pendlay (hair / makeup IN the hotel room), Bella Bay Inn (accommodations for us), Howard Johnson (room block for guests), and Publix for the cupcakes / cake. Everything went perfectly with each and The White Room facilitated the ability to use them and have them on-site. Overall: A+ Each coordinator is amazing, so don't fret if they change up on you due to scheduling! Our daughter had her wedding at The White Room on December 1st, 2018. We scheduled the wedding for the rooftop, outside. Unfortunately the rain didn't cooperate and we had to go to plan "B". Kelsi and her team at The White Room did such a great job of switching things around that most all of the guests thought it was planned for the inside all along. It was absolutely wonderful. I can't say enough about The White Room and Kelsi in particular. From the time we made our first deposit The White Room had us on schedule. They would send us reminders about upcoming decisions and worked with us hand in hand to make sure all the details were ironed out. Kelsi worked with my daughter just prior to the wedding day to make sure everything would be in place for the wedding and more importantly Kelsi delivered on the day of the wedding. I don't think she missed even one small detail. The venue itself is wonderful and the location right in the heart of St Augustine is hard to beat. Because The White Room is all inclusive a lot of the details associated with weddings are in the package. And those items that are not included are easily accessible through their preferred vendor list. The food, the drinks, the bartenders and everyone and everything else supplied by The White Room was top rate. I can't believe how many people stopped to tell me how much they enjoyed the dinner. So often food served in this type of environment is just ok, I will say the food at The White Room was excellent from the hors d'oeuvres to the main course to the late night munchies. I was pretty impressed with The White Room for a wedding we were in a few weeks ago. It's located on the same floor as A1A Brewery and has plenty of space for a decent amount of space for a good amount of people to spread out. Definitely not crammed with tables and no space. The dance floor fit nicely in the middle of the venue, too. One of the best aspects of this spot is the balcony/patio area. It's such a nice respite from all of the noise of talking wedding-goers, loud Top 40 music, and drunkies. It has a wonderful view of the bustly parts of St Augustine and a wonderful view of the harbor littered with sailboats. Highly recommend if you're looking for a good spot for a reception or party. It's really pretty. Also, the bathrooms are pretty stellar. Big and they have some of the thickest hand towels I've ever used. read more

My wife and I were married here the past August. We were somewhat familiar with the area; however had never visited The White Room prior to our initial visit. Our first impression was amazing. The rooms available are picturesque and the staff was very accommodating. I had looked at the previous Yelp reviews and noticed that the majority rated this venue with at least 4 stars. There were a few towards the end that did not speak very highly of the White Room (2 stars or less). I believe that these reviews were not consistent with the others and took their complaints with a grain of salt. We gave ourselves about seven months to plan our wedding. Our wedding coordinator, Meghan, was fantastic. There were a few times that I received an out of office reply, but this can be expected over a seven month span. Besides the few times I had to wait 24 hours for a response, Meghan was punctual and quick to respond. For those of us who do not have a surplus of thousands of dollars, the payment plan they offer is realistic and easy to maintain. The cost is worth it. The food is exceptional and plentiful. Easily the best menu I have had at any wedding. I highly recommend the bacon-wrapped scallops and shrimp martini. Delicious. Meghan stayed with us throughout the pre, during, and post wedding festivities, providing guidance, i.e when to toast, cut the cake, etc. Her added presence allowed my wife and I to thoroughly cherish our special day. We didn't have to worry or stress over the course of the evening. Without boring you with further details of an amazing wedding, perfect reception, and overall memorable experience, I highly recommend The White Room. It was a great venue. The pink room was so beautiful and elegant for any wedding ceremony. I loved the chiavari chairs. The lighting was open and dreamy. The white room had an open balcony and exposed brick walls. The dance floor was huge! Bartenders were knowledgeable and quick! Minus one star because i thought the food was just average. Visited the White Room to attend a friend's wedding, and was quite pleased with what they had to offer. The ceremony was held on the 3rd floor rooftop area. The weather that day was perfect, with a fantastic view of the river. The noise from the street level was minimal, although the occasional tour trolley and motorcycle did make a pass. Inside, the space was spacious enough for about 100 guests, with a small but serviceable dance area. I attending a wedding here this past week. It was a beautiful location, overlooking the water. It was perfect for an evening ceremony. The staff seemed to be on top of everything. While waiting for the wedding to start, we were downstairs and ordered a couple drinks, the bartenders were very friendly and happy to help me decide on a drink. The food was pretty good, the meat was a bit rare for my liking,but everything else was good, especially the mashed-tini's. The rooms were beautifully decorated. Parking was tough to come by, you have to find somewhere to park on the street which proved to be challenging. The only negative I could give this venue would be the up and down, by that, I mean this. The ceremony was on the food, then we came inside and went down a small staircase and had drinks. Next we went down to the second floors, while doing that, one of the groomsmen slipped and fell down the staircase. Next we went back out to the roof for the first dance and toast. Then back inside for the cake, then back outside for dancing. I was not a fan of that, it also didn't allow anywhere for guest to leave their personal items. I came to St Augustine for my friends' wedding at The White Room in April. The ceremony was outside overlooking the water. It was truly picturesque especially with the wonderful weather. It was a beautiful venue. Inside space for the reception was really nice. The exposed brick added to the decor. The dance floor and bar was back outside on the rooftop. During the cocktail hour and reception dancing, majority of the guests were standing. There were only a few patio chairs and seats which isn't accommodating for the elders and guests with heels. Adding more seats outside would be the one recommendation for management to consider. Special thank you and shoutout to Diamond. Everyone kept telling us to expect at least one thing not to go to plan on our wedding day, but looking back at it, we couldn't have asked for anything to turn out better than it did. Our coordinator, Shannon (and also the front office staff and servers), was amazing and professional from start to finish, and in accommodating the countless times my wife had called them with questions leading up to the event. We had our ceremony and reception in the Villa Blanca. We fell in love with the vaulted ceilings, chandeliers, and just the overall clean/white look. Our cocktail hour hors d' oeuvres included scallops wrapped in bacon, pear, almond & brie wrapped in phylio, and chicken wellingtons. Dinner was fresh catch fish and pepper seared beef tenderloin. I have heard nothing but compliments on how good the food was and also how hot the food came out. Even our DJ said the fish at the White Room is the best compared to all the other venues he works in. The best part of the night was the fries that came out around 11:20 PM. I expected them to be perhaps a little soggy or cold, but they came out hot and crispy! Finally, for our exit, we had brought our own sparklers (the short ones), but Shannon was nice enough to replace them with the longer versions. Also, since our reception ended at midnight, Shannon and the staff packed and put everything of ours inside by the front door for us to pick up the next morning. Full Disclosure is that I need to tell you that I work in the wedding industry in Saint Augustine so I have worked with hundreds of different vendors in the area for the last 10 years. But this week I happened to be on the other side of the camera when I married the love of my life. I told my bride-to-be that of all the weddings I have seen the very best couples are out for 2 things... 1) to have a great time and 2) be thankful for the day, so that was all I really wanted for our wedding day. Well we got so much more than we could have ever hoped for. The reception is the first thing everyone tells you to book, because they book out the farthest, and we decided to choose one of the newer saint augustine wedding venues the Villa Blanca. This is a converted 2 story Spanish home that the owners of the Whiteroom restored beautifully with hard wood floors and stunning vaulted ceilings with white beams. All of our guests were definitely impressed. The food, was outstanding, we did a brunch buffet, with a Deviled eggs, French Toast, Shrimp and Grits bar, and the surprise for me, was the best Turkey with Gravy I have ever had (please don't tell my mom) And the best part of the Whiteroom was Meghan and the Whiteroom staff. I've worked with Meghan for years, and I always new she was professional and great at her job, but I have never been on the side that needed her advice and counsel. She walked us through things that I never really thought about and made the process simple and help us keep our focus on having a great time with our family and friends. During the process even the other planners at the Whiteroom made themselves available to help us with any questions. The staff was friendly and prompt and made all our family and friends feel at home. We just had our wedding at the White Room Loft a few weekends ago and it was absolutely wonderful. Our coordinator, Meghan, was so sweet and patient with all of our changes to the guest lists and what we wanted. Everything turned out perfectly and we got so many compliments from our guests, telling us it was the most beautiful/fun wedding they had ever attended. We also took advantage of the rooftop area and had our ceremony at (almost) sunset as well. Meghan again was extremely helpful during the rehearsal, making sure everyone knew exactly where to stand and walk, etc. She was a complete life-saver! The only compliant I had about the entire thing was that for our wedding, the elevator was not functioning at the time, and with being on the 3rd floor it was hard for some of the older guests to make it up the stairs. In fact, my own grandfather was not able to even attend the ceremony/reception, as he is in a wheelchair and unable stand/walk at all. Earlier in the week we had been promised the elevator would be back in working order for our event, but sadly it was not. This also made it extremely hard for our vendors to get all of their equipment up/down the stairs, and for us to bring all of the decorations up/down, etc. Pros: Amazing venue in the heart of historic downtown, beautiful views of the bay front, extremely helpful/friendly staff, delicious/wide variety of food for both seated dinners and buffet options, late night munchies (a HUGE hit with our guests), extremely generous open bar policies (our open bar with premium liquor for 3 hours was just $33 a person), free trolley service from the parking garage, and much more. Cons: Room minimum fee, gray areas on what's included towards that minimum & what's not, limited parking (trolley from parking garage helps), and different pricing based on time of year (I'm sure this is normal though!). read more

I was married here in March 2013 and it was an incredible experience. The price was decent & almost everything was taken care of for us. We live in California, so this was a huge help considering the long distance circumstances. Our wedding coordinator Megan was thoughtful, caring, and went out of her way to prepare for anything & alleviate issues or anxieties that I had at semi-bridezilla moments leading up to the wedding day. Also, my wife and I are a same-sex couple and we were by no means discriminated against in any way or felt uncomfortable, nor treated differently. That was a nice surprise for us considering Florida's political acceptance of gay marriage isn't as prominent as California overall. The food (stuffed shrimp and tenderloin) were top of the line. They were upscale restaurant quality, way beyond expectations. We live in San Francisco, an extremely foodie city, and we were extremely impressed by the food. Service was impeccable and fast too. We had open beer and wine and chose to do cash liquor, not open liquor for many reasons, lol. When we hadn't met our contracted food and beverage minimum, we requested 15 of our favorite bottles of champagne to be left in our hotel room prior to the wedding instead of the offered options, and a few bottles behind the bar for bridal party and family upon request, in order to fulfill that minimum. They accommodated that special request gladly. Not only did they accommodate our special request, the price for our bottles was very good...really reasonable and fair priced. My wife and I have both worked for high end restaurants & hotels & know that they offered us these special requested champagne bottles at great prices with a lower profit margin than we were even prepared to pay. The only reasons why I would give 4 stars versus a 5 star rating at the White Room are a couple of somewhat minor things that made it near perfect, but not quite 100 percent perfect. The first reason is that it is very dark in the outdoor rooftop beautiful venue at night. So dark that you almost can't see anyone outside at night. They charge $250 for hanging lights for your reception and will not allow you to apply that fee to your contractual minimum if you do choose to rent the lights. I feel when opting to pay for the best most expensive reception venue the place offers, the lighting should simply be included..no one in our party could see our first dance or dances with our fathers well...or at the very least, allow those beautiful $250 lights to be included in the minimum. The lights were even hanging outside just before our ceremony and they had their crew take them down beforehand just because we didn't pay for them, versus just leaving them up. When the lighting is that awful outside after dark, I just think a wedding place of that quality should just provide the lighting for you without an extra fee. Lighting seems like a pretty basic accommodation. This is not something that made our day horrible or anything, it just seems like something that shouldn't be charged for at such a nice place. Lighting is important and should just be provided in my opinion. The other bad thing that lowers my rating was that the back-up plan for one who chooses the rooftop venue is not good. The rooftop wedding/reception venue is the premier most expensive option they have. And it should be! Our wedding day was epically beautiful and the weather was perfect. But we had a rain scare, and last minute the staff told us our back-up plan was downstairs in a basement type area with pipes and few windows. Not beautiful, not acceptable. I firmly feel that they should provide a beautiful back-up plan for rained out weddings when people spend more money on this rooftop than their Ball-Room venue for rained out ceremonies. Or they should schedule the rooftop ceremonies to be enough time before the ball-room ceremonies so they can perform all rained out ceremonies in the ball-room and move the reception up to the small indoor portion of the rooftop venue & flip the room quick enough for the next wedding ceremony in the ball-room to begin. Then everyone is happy and doesn't feel cheated of their money's worth by having bad luck after paying for their premier wedding venue location. Our wedding turned out to be in gorgeous weather after a scare and all was good, but the scare made me think about how poor their back-up plan is for those who pay for the best venue they have to offer. Megan, our wedding coordinator, was a godsend. She helped us plan our unconventional ceremony walking down the aisle since we had 2 females in 2 dresses who were 2 brides (not one who acted as a groom). She also got us sparklers when we forgot to plan our exit w/o us even bringing it to her attention. She realized this on her own and fixed it. I got married there in October and I would not recommend this venue to any bride who really cares about how they look the day of their wedding. The AC was not cold enough and I was sweating, there is no bridal suite for you to get dressed or get ready. Instead it's a waiting room for ALL of the brides to use that day so you have to put your belongings under a table upstairs with the rest of your guests! It's pretty embarrassing that you have to reach under the table in front of your guests to get your make up bag and the other items that you need throughout your day. Throughout the evening I had to put my makeup on and do touch ups in the guest bathroom and when I changed into my reception down I also changed in a bathroom because they had no private place for each bride. Every bride can understand the importance of looking good on their wedding day especially for their photos which they spend a lot of money on. My wedding consultant called my photographer and told her to hurry up because they want to serve dinner so throughout my photo shoot during cocktail hour my photographer was getting harassed to be a sulfone called by my wedding consultantto hurry up and get us back to the venue. I had several guests who are unable to attend last minute due to illness and I had a late RSVP attending the wedding so when asked for a seat my guess was told there might not be enough food because it goes by plate and then proceeded to ask all of the guests at the tables to get their place cards out to be sure that they were sitting at the right table. This was embarrassing not only to my guests but to me and my parents who spent $200 a plate for all of my guests to eat a good meal. I should be hearing about this incident a month after my wedding and have to apologize for my wedding consultant's actions. Overall my wedding was a success but I look like a chicken without my head running around trying to find my belongings throughout my wedding because there was no bridal suite and no one to help get those items for me. When I called to complain about this my wedding consultant told me that most brides don't touch up their make up before their photo shoot. I really don't know any bride that would want to take professional pictures after she's cried at her ceremony WITHOUT touching up her make up. Nobody should be rushing you through your big day. I'm writing a formal letter of complaint to the venue. The amount that they charged to hold the wedding there I expected more professionalism. read more

This is a fantastic venue. Went here for a wedding a few weeks ago and I was blown away with how beautiful it was. The inside was spacious and full of light, and then the roof top view was to die for. You could see the entire marina, and it was beautiful against the sunset. Not sure if the staff provided belonged to the wedding party or the venue but they were great too. Epic room for dancing, mingling and of course eating. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone read more

I attended a wedding here recently in the rooftop hall and wow! It has a great view of the bridge of lions and the waterway, as well as having a great open layout. Definitely a great event space. read more

The wedding was absolutely wonderful! The crystal chandeliers, the beautifully decorated venue makes it extra special. Their service was great and everyone enjoyed the evening here. My husband and I got married here in June of 2015. Weddings can be very stressful and at times the White room attributed to that stress. However, my overall experience with them was incredible and I would use them again if I redid everything. The night was absolutely flawless and my husband and I were treated like royalty. DO NOT BOOK THIS VENUE. Our family (My young nephew and his fiancee) planned a wedding there for NYE 2017. We put a large deposit down. We had to cancel the wedding due to unforeseen family circumstances. We cancelled the reservation 7 months in advance. The management wouldn't refund ANY of our money nor would they APPLY the deposit to the wedding on a different date. We lost thousands of dollars. NYE is a coveted date and they had 7 months to fill that venue which I am CERTAIN they did. HORRIBLE horrible way to treat customers. We just had a New Years Eve wedding at The White Room and we cannot express enough how amazing it all was. The food was perfect and we had so many guests tell us that it was the absolute best wedding food they've ever had. Meghan took care of everything for us on the day of so we were not worried at all and all their staff went above and beyond and it all made our wedding so perfect. read more

I attended a wedding on July 16, 2015. I have to say the view is phenomenal! The ballroom was beautiful and I love the fact that it had a balcony. It was hot that day so I didn't see a lot of people stepping out on the balcony. I do have to say they do not have parking, which we were made aware of by the bride and groom. Disappointing that such a great venue does not have parking for guests. The Hor'deveres were delicious as well as the entree. Being that it was an small intimate wedding the room looked huge. The use of dividers would have worked well for this party. Another thing I noticed is that coffee or tea was not served. I was disappointed that it was not served or even mentioned to any of us at the table. I was told from the bride and groom after the fact once they spoke to the event manager that it was located by the bar. I wish the waiters could have mentioned it while going around with the slice of cake. "If anyone would like a cup of coffee/tea it's located by the bar". We also felt slightly rushed towards the end. I understand everyone has to go home and it was a Thursday night but there's no need to start rushing us out. I felt like that was a tad bit unprofessional. read more
