I had to get a bridesmaid dress altered so I figured I'd check out the place closest to me. Enter…read moreTheresa's Alterations. All I can say is horrible service. When I went in with the dress, the person behind the counter seemed confused as to what I wanted (she's Eastern European so maybe there was some sort of language barrier coming into play), and I felt like I had to walk her through the process. "I'm going to go try this on, show you where I need it taken in, and you can pin it." Then, I was told a specific date to come back. When I did come back (30 min prior to close), she told me that it wasn't ready and she needed another 20 mins. Honestly, I would have either appreciated a call that it would not be ready on time OR she should have given herself a later date all together. To top things off, when I came back later, she was chatting on the phone about the women's world cup and I had to wait for about 5 min while she wrapped up her conversation. The only reason I am giving this place 3 stars is because she actually did an excellent job with the alteration. The dress fits wonderfully, and despite the service issues, I might actually go back just because I know that I'm going to get a perfect finished product.

They could care less that they have my things, and have promised to perform a service. Obviously, the assistant could be there for the people who need to pick up their things. So it is just complete disregard for other people that is causing this. She had my phone number, and could have called me, and there would have been no problem. Im so very worried I will never see my things again.

Her hours are very reasonable and she's willing to stay later to meet your needs. Reasonably priced as well. With extreme hesitation, I had her alter/do a few adjustments on my wedding dress and I was very pleased with the end result. She offered several fittings and made it look exactly how I wanted it to look. She delivered on time and was very professional and personable. My only complaints is that her shop is quite open and everyone who was walking by could see me in my dress, and her shop could use a little tidying up. But overall, I would definitely bring more clothing to her, because I know it's in good hands!

In fact she's beyond amazing. This was an outfit that I bought the wrong size came I have a gala in less than a week I dropped it off to her on Monday She had it ready for me on Thursday She took in the skirt and took up the hem when I went in to try it after she did the initial alterations I wanted it taken in a little bit more and she did that within a couple of hours I came back that same day and picked up my outfit. Her prices are beyond reasonable and I was happy to pay an increased fee for a rush item. This is the second time I've been to Miss Patricia and needed something done in a rush three days or less and she obliged and her craftsmanship is amazing. This cute little shop reminds me of my grandmother's sewing nook whenever we needed anything darned, hemmed taken in or taken out she was happy to do it and that's exactly how Miss Patricia is. I would recommend her to anyone. She has altered several expensive and delicate garments for me as well as suits, blazers and blouses. Miss Patricia I'm quite sure could alter anything.

I went in there stressing and she walked me through like a real professional through the steps she needs to take to fix my suit jacket. She gave me a solid timeline for when it would be done and she stuck to her word, at 6:30 she called me like she said she would and told me it was ready for pickup. The jacket couldn't have fit any better than Cinderella's slipper!
