I said that seemed low. He told me most of everything was 10k. I said that I wanted to go to other places to compare prices. He suddenly went up to 11k and started pressuring me to take the offer and said if I leaved, his price would go down. He started saying "do you want a check?". I felt very uncomfortable and left. I went directly to Seattle Gold. They tested everything and said almost all of it was 14k and even 18k. They gave me 12k. This owner is a conman. He thought he could get away with 8k on jewelry that was worth 12k. BEWARE!!!!

I said I couldn't go over $175 so we probably wouldnt find a compromise...but then he said "sold." I was surprised: those tiny garnets were priced ridiculously high, but he suddenly accepted about 30% of that price. I told him I needed to go get the cash, and that really seemed to piss him off. (Who doesnt like being paid in cash?) He scolded me like a kid and told me not to make an offer if I couldn't buy it right then and there. I explained to him that it would take 20 minutes to get the cash and I would be right back, and he said OK, but he was completely rude from then on and didn't try to hide it. If I'm buying jewelry, I don't like buying from people like this guy. Its an investment and there should be trust, which is why its nice to build a good relationship with your seller. I got the cash and returned to the store -- looking for my earrings. But they were GONE! He had packed them up in a box to move somewhere, even though they don't close for another three hours, and even though he KNEW I was coming back for THOSE earrings. I had even specifically confirmed that he would give them to me for that price when I returned. Nope! Wouldn't even let me buy them. That was the only display box that he packed up. There's more. His wife is very nice, but as she showed me a necklace, he scolded me as if I were stealing. I said thanks and got the heck out. Bad vibes, bad customer service. Bottom line, I'm never coming back here. I buy jewelry from people I trust to be transparent, respectful, and who don't force a decision in 30 seconds or less. It's one thing if you're not really buying anything, but I was there to buy. If you're buying pawned jewelry, you need time to examine it, otherwise you'll probably end up spending too much on a synthetic gem. If you're looking for a wonderful, FRIENDLY jewelry pawn shop with equally high-end merchandise at better prices, run by a VERY nice family, go to Onix Jewelry instead. In fact, I went there after I left Aboud Jewelry and bought 18k gold studs with natural blue sapphire....for $100!!! Tony at Onix is always happy to negotiate. Also, it's 2 minutes away from Aboud Jewelry. Spend your money there and get more value and nicer service.

Likely new owner or staff compared to other reviews…read more I came in with some heirloom jewelry that I mainly wanted help identifying. I was very clear from the beginning that I wasn't particularly concerned with how much it was worth. I told them I was open to potentially selling something, but what I really wanted was to understand what I actually had, especially what the stones were. Instead, the man immediately started grabbing my pieces, dumping them all together onto his plate, and handling them very roughly, scraping them against things without asking me first. These are heirloom pieces that have sentimental value to me whether they are worth $10 or $10,000, and I was honestly shocked by how carelessly they were being handled. I repeatedly tried to explain that I understood they might not be worth much and that I DID NOT CARE. I kept asking if he could simply tell me what the stones were or give me some information about the pieces because that was why I came in. He just kept responding with some version of, "Well, it's not worth anything." I KNOW. That was not what I was asking. I wanted to learn about jewelry I inherited from someone who supposedly knows jewelry. Instead, it felt like he was only interested in quickly going through everything to see whether there was money to be made. He barely seemed interested in actually looking at the pieces or answering the questions I was asking. What makes this worse is that we were not only there about my heirloom jewelry. We were also looking around because I am interested in buying jewelry in the future. This experience completely changed that. I would never buy jewelry from this business after the way I was treated. By the end, I told him I just wanted my jewelry back and that I was no longer interested in selling anything to him because he had been incredibly rude and dismissive. I tried one last time to explain that this was never about whether my jewelry was valuable. It was about wanting to understand pieces that mattered to me and hoping someone knowledgeable would be willing to take a few minutes to help me. Based on this experience, I would not trust this business with my heirloom jewelry, I would not trust them enough to buy jewelry from them, and I would not feel comfortable relying on their pricing or customer service. The entire interaction gave me the impression that making a sale or finding something valuable mattered far more than actually helping or respecting the person standing in front of them. I came in hoping to learn something and potentially become a future customer planning to buy something for my birthday. I left feeling disrespected, dismissed, and like my sentimental belongings were treated as nothing more than potential dollar signs. I absolutely would not recommend this place.

We bought multiple pieces and they even resized them for us on the spot. While we were there, I asked about jewelry repairs and they said they can also help! So I came back today to get my wedding set resized because I lost a lot of weight recently (thanks ozempic!) and I am just so happy with the finished product. I was advised to actually not resize the ring as it could impact my setting, so they gave me another solution to add some "resizing beads" on the inside of the ring. It really did the trick and it was finished really well. They even buffed out/ polished some scratches I had on the outside of my band, too! I am really impressed with the quality of the jewelry and the integrity of the shop. I'll continue to come here for any repairs I need, or on fun shopping days when I'm looking for something new!
